So tonight was a much needed date night...and...kudos, kudos, kudos to my hubby who found a new place close to home that is very reminiscent of our nights out in our beloved Dallas. We sat at the bar and ordered a draft IPA and their Moscow Mule. I picked the cocktail because I was wanting some a little light and saw kombucha (which I love and drink regularly) and immediately knew it was my drink for the night. Refreshing, not overly ginger-ey. This place delivered an awesome atmosphere with a killer menu to boot. I had their "bunless burger" minus the white cheddar. A juicy, delicious Kobe beef burger patty topped with a runny egg that came on a stack of lettuce, pickles, tomato, smashed avocado, and portobello mushroom all sitting in a wonderful aioli sauce. Yum! Hubby had the tuni and avocado sushi bowl. It was a gorgeous dish that I only had a bite of but what I tasted was impressive. Hubby enjoyed it very much. We came on a Tuesday night and both the parking and sitting availability was open. However, we got the feeling that this might be an uncommon occurrence. If Rockwall knows what's good for it, this place will never have a cooled off seat. It is a welcome change of pace from the choking majority of franchise restaurants. Had so much a Lower Greenville vibe that I had a hard time remembering that I was in suburbia. The bartender was welcoming, friendly, talkative, and attentive. Atmosphere and decor, check! Amazing food, check! Service, check! Parking...could be better if you come during peak hours....we didn't have a problem. Overall, excited about this place. Will be back. Maybe they should change the name to subStandard Service? The wait staff is not very attentive nor do they seem to have any sense of urgency. We sat for 10 minutes waiting to be acknowledged by the waitress. Then we sat for ten minutes waiting for her to bring back a single drink from the bar. She let the other staff serve us (my drink, appetizer, and meal). We only saw her again once she screwed up the drink reorder at the bar. How do you screw up a reorder of the same drink? The food is average at best and nothing to write home about. The brussels sprout dish would be amazing if they tossed it in a bowl before plating to meld the flavors together. Ditch the cilantro, It competes with the basil in this dish. Salmon was dry and should be served with rice or something to sop up the sauce that did not help with the dryness. Come for the atmosphere and not the food. It's a step above Applebees or Chilis. But you can play games outside if you want if the games are not already taken. This could be a good distraction for the kids. It's always overcrowded, so make a reservation. You'll really be disappointed if you have to wait 45 minutes to be seated at this place and then get substandard service and food... BTW, the electronic payment device is defaulted to a 25% tip, so adjust as required. Just like getting unknown taxed by the ISD. With the poor service and mediocre food, I can't recommend this place unless you come for the outdoor activities. Great concept, poor execution. Lots of potential to get better. read more

This was our first time here and it was awesome. Our waitress (LOGAN) was really attentive and super sweet, the food was fresh and different, the girls liked the music so they danced a lot, and they make sure to keep the wait outside so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. They served traditional brunch and lunch items and we can't wait to try the whole menu. Our meals today were phenomenal. AND FREE VALET! Staff and management was absolutely phenomenal, accommodating, and generally amazing today when we threw a 30th Birthday Brunch for our friend. The establishment allowed us to decorate to fully embrace our theme and offered to help with set up prior to our guests arrival. This place started off with a bang. Great food, great service, cool establishment. I don't know what happened to it, but it is not the same place anymore. From the inability to make an Arnold Palmer, to having the audacity to serve us burnt fish, this place is not worth the money. I dined here on recommendation from a friend. It was busy, about a 20 minute wait for an inside table on a Tuesday evening. We opted to sit outside on the cover patio area and were seated right away. Atmosphere: Decor has a very modern urban/industrial feel to it. It felt very on trend with other hip eateries. There was a fun little play area on the patio with corn-hole. Service: Excellent friendly staff. Our waiter was very attentive and our food was out quickly. Food: I ordered the loaded grilled cheese sandwich with a side of tomato soup. The portion was huge (I should have opted for the half sandwich). It was very tasty. Value: I felt that the food was a little on the pricey side. The drink menu had lots of variety and the prices were typical of a hip, upscale restaurant. The beers were incredibly overpriced IMHO. First time here. Took a bit for our fam bam to get seated and I would have preferred a booth since my 3 year old was asleep but we ended up at a table for 4. Happy Hour starts at 3pm and we arrived 20 min. before that so we started w/waters and ordered our kiddos their drinks and the flatbread pizza. The queso and chips are awesome, chips are like a thick pita style but our to go batch was a tad salty. Chicken fried chicken is delicious and a must try. Paired well w/green beans and mashed potatoes. Hubbs sandwich looked so good and his kale salad was a hit! Our 8 year old daughter even loved it. The in house dressing on that is so good, I'd buy it if they sold that to the public! (Hint, hint) Kids pizza had onions so my son only ended up eating one, daughter was full. Maybe we will order chicken tenders next visit. The frozen Moscow Mule is a first and was real good. We had our daughter's graduation dinner at the Standard Service in Heath. Everything was beyond amazing and the staff made this dinner so special. A very special "Thank You" to: Lacy, Event Coordinator; Jerry, GM; Chef Carlos; and Savannah - you all went above and beyond taking such great care of us. From the moment we walked in, the hostess were all smiles and so friendly; and everything that followed was just as welcoming. The ambiance is very relaxing and comfortable. We were seated in the beer garden area with umbrellas overhead the picnic tables. Appetizer and main dishes were all vibrant, fresh, and flavorful. I highly recommend their lemonade, which is made fresh. Our appetizers: Ahi Tuna tacos, cheese sticks, and crispy shrimp lettuce cups - all colorful, crispy, and complimentary flavors. Our main dishes: meatball sliders, red rooster sliders (highly, highly recommend!), summer kale, Mediterranean salad, sautéed vegetables, and burrata plate. We were served family style and the servers 100% cleared and delivered dishes in a timely manner. Food that was meant to eaten hot, were delivered hot; and the salads were fresh (not soggy). Nothing standard about their service here! (Haha I'm so original) The food here is really good! They fries are a perfect way to sop up a hangover. Also, their cobb salad was a very welcomed respite from a weekend of nothing but meat and cheese. Also, we managed to snag some 2 dollar mimosas! They did not skimp on the booze for these, and they were so good! If only there was a way to import these into new york, sell them for 8 bucks, and make a tidy profit. Overall, really great place! Went in for our first visit on a very hot afternoon, absolutely thirsty, hungry and looking to cool off. Went in and asked for a table inside and we were quickly seated... only to find that they were choosing to leave all the doors open in 97 degree heat. (???) We decided to stay anyway and give the place a try. The waitress was delightful and courteous. The burger was good and had a side of flavorful sweet potato waffle fries. The grilled cheese, however, was merely okay. Instead of avocado as described, it arrived with dark guacamole and the whole thing was semi-soggy. The side of fruit was far from fresh - very mushy and warm. Ordered a Diet Coke that arrived completely flat, but instead of offering to get something else, they kept saying they were "trying to fix it." Finally got a replacement. To add to our frustration, we had to battle flies through the entire meal - again, because the large doors were all open. (Heat AND flies - not the best combo when eating). We're hoping they'll reconsider leaving the doors open during the summer months - it just really made things unpleasant. Open doors might be awesome in the fall, but when it's 97 degrees it just isn't the best time for it. read more

I had the farmhouse bowl with roasted red taters, glazed carrots, peas, goat cheese and topped with a waygu burger patty - all slathered with some tasty sauce. It was small, but filling for lunch. My coworker had a giant cob salad with hipster chicken, and he said it was good. Huge wine selection & a bar with a tatted bartendress who ate nachos and talked more than she worked.
