I debated between repairing the Miele or buying a new Sebo and ultimately chose a mid-range Sebo with dual HEPA filters, a bacteria filter, and a hardwood floor attachment. Gabe even included a full filter kit with 8 vacuum bags (about $95 value) in exchange for my old Miele--enough to last me nearly two years! I had researched Sebo before I came, and I think it offers strong, reliable quality and made in Germany design and parts. With the hardwood floor attachment, the price was a good value as well since the store offered an extended 10 year warranty. Gabe is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, funny, and genuinely kind. It's rare to find service like this anymore. I highly recommend bringing your broken vacuum or sewing machine here--you'll be in excellent hands.

However, two days later, I noticed water leaking from the front dispenser area--a feature I have not used for several years. When I called to address this issue, I asked why the water had not been turned off instead of simply taping the valve, since I pointed out that I do not use that feature. Today, when they came again, they told me that the real problem is now the control panel, which wasn't brought to my attention before, since it was working. It appears that the temporary fix may have caused further damage, and I am now facing an unexpected and costly repair. I am disappointed with the handling of this service, as the initial visit seems to have created a new problem rather than resolving the original issue.
