Problems: 1) Quoted two different prices for stovetop range by two different people. 2) Installers did not level range. 3) Did not check to see if all functions were working at installations. 4) When problem was found, we called back the same day (Friday) and were told their staff could not come until Monday. 5) We called Monday morning, and were told they didn't have us on the schedule, because "You must have talked to someone else on Friday, not me." If I could give Apache Appliance zero stars, I would. I purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer from them in June of last year. When the dryer light went out, I submitted a warranty claim. The technician arrived, and not only failed to fix the issue, but made things worse--he took a critical internal part of the dryer with him, making it completely inoperable. He knowingly asked if the dryer was working prior to his arrival, fully aware that it wouldn't work after he left. When I discovered this, I called the co-owner, who admitted the part was broken and had been taken by the tech--but offered no help beyond telling me to go to a laundromat. When I asked if they'd reimburse me, I was told "it's not our problem," and that the issue was between me and the technician (whom I wasn't even allowed to contact). When we went to the store, the co-owner became defensive and asked her to leave. Bottom line: maliciously dishonest, zero accountability, and horrendous customer service. My 12 year old DW quite working, right before the winter 2026 snow/ice. I expected the new DW to be back ordered, but Apache came through quickly, in spite of the snow/icy driveway. I called Apache and Gary came out to repair the GE dryer we bought from them 3 yrs ago. It was human error on my part that the dryer was not working properly. He got the part and repaired the dryer in 11/2 hours. The dryer works like a dream and that's why we purchase all our appliances from Apache. I just recently purchased a washer from them. The item was defective. The sensors were not calibrated correctly, so the water would not fill. I went back to the store to complain. The manager started yelling at me and told me it wasn't his problem. He said it's a 2 day old washer and is still under warranty, and to call GE if I had a problem. He also sold me the display and not a new one. I will dispute this with my credit card company, but save yourselves the trouble. It's not worth it. read more

Apache's prices are equivalent to what you find at the larger retailers. The selection of models is slightly smaller because they don't stock junk. Family owned since they started up in the 1950s. They really know their stuff, unlike the high turnover sales staff at Best Buy, Sears, Home Dumpo or Lowes. When I bought my house in 1983, there was an Apache Appliance sticker on the 220 volt outlet installed for the clothes dryer. The house was built in 1965. After a few minor repairs got the original Maytag washer through 20-some years, I bought a new "smart" water-saving WhirlpooI Cabrio washer with a sexy glass top from Sears. The damned thing did a lousy job and the main bearing failed in three years. So I tried Apache and went whole hog, got a Speed Queen commercial grade washer with a 15-year warranty. It has real dials instead of a touch pad and ribbon cable which will fail from moisture infiltration in a few years. The lid doesn't lock during cycles, so I can throw extra clothes in after it starts. This thing will probably last longer than me and I'll never have to spend another minute of my life messing around with a failed washer or dryer. read more

The reason for only 2 stars is the person they've sent to my home for repairs was up-tight and surly (I think he may be one of the owners). In a recent search to replace my almost 18-month old Samsung (Model: DV45K7600EW/A3) clothes dryer, I came across two options to obtain it: Home Depot and Apache Appliance. I gave Apache a call and nearly dropped my phone because a human (Francis) picked up before the second ring completed. I actually thought this wasn't going to work out since I had to call to get pricing but I was pleasantly surprised. The new dryer, a Maytag (MEDP575GW), wasn't in stock in their warehouse but they were able to order it, have it delivered, and installed in about 3 business days. I never bothered to reach out to HD because this local business came through and didn't try to nickel and dime me on installation fees and other accessories that I already had available (dryer vent and dryer power cord). read more

They installed my parents dishwasher -- and it leaked. When they notified the store, the owner was terribly rude. He came and looked at the dishwasher and indeed, it needed to be adjusted. When we asked about the damaged floor and ceiling from the water leaking, he to them to claim it on homeowners because it "that might have occurred from the old dishwasher." (Even though the dishwasher they installed was clearly improperly installed -- otherwise it wouldn't have needed to be fixed. They Don't Stand by Their Work!! read more

Apache Appliance came to my house to repair a broken ice dispenser on my Kitchen Aid refrigerator on July 19, 2021. While the dispenser was broken, the ice maker had been working fine. But I was tired of my kids having to open the freezer and reach into the bin to get their ice. The ice at the bottom of the bin tended to get compressed and frozen into chunks, so prior to the arrival of the technician, Godfrey, I emptied the ice bin. I left some ice in a glass in the freezer so he could test the dispenser when he fixed it. I even pointed this out to him. He repaired some wires and the motor for the dispenser seemed to work, although he never used the ice from the glass to test it. However, by the next day, the ice maker hadn't made any new ice. Godfrey came out again on July 26 and declared it fixed, but we would have to wait to see if ice appeared after it had time to freeze. By the next day, no ice. In further conversations with Godfrey, he insisted that because the ice bin had been empty, the ice maker must not have been working before he came. This is 100% not true. It worked fine right up to the time he came on July 19. In discussing the problem with the owner of Apache, Francis Nolan, he refused to admit that Godfrey, his technician, could have done anything to the ice maker and that the fact that the ice maker just stopped working immediately after Godfrey's visit must be a "coincidence". He decided to refund the cost of Godfrey's initial visit ($149), although I did not request or want this solution. If Godfrey's mistake means I have to buy a new ice maker and have it installed, it's going to cost much more than $149. They've basically called me a liar and screwed me over cost-wise. I would steer clear of them. read more

I do not have anything positive to say about the Apache service, or the GE Profile product line. I found the sale person to be 'gruff' and installation was a disaster. We purchased the GE Proile side-by-side refrigerator. The unit is very loud which I have found to be a common complaint, but after I purchased. I have really disliked this product since day 1. We now have a motor problem that has to be addressed. We purchased in Feb 2014 and of course are out of warranty. When I called Apache for support, I was told their technician retired and they have not replaced him and politely referred me to GE Appliance. We also bought a GE Profile dishwasher at the same time. The Apache service team came and installed the WRONG dishwasher. We did not notice the issue until after it was installed and they left. We called to get the problem corrected and were greeted with determined effort to have us keep the installed dishwasher and an offer to refund us the difference. We did not want the lower rated dishwasher and requested to have Apache remove the installed dishwaasher and install the one we ordered. They wanted to do it the next day, but we have jobs and needed to schedule another day off for Apache to fix a problem they created. They seemed put off when would would not agree to leave a key so the technician could let himself into our house while we were not there. I usually do not complain about bad service, I simply move on. I am only writing this to potentially save someone the same problems I encountered. read more

Recently had a dishwasher installed. After they left, water was dripping under my sink all night. Called to complain and they referred me to a plumber. $270 later the dripping was gone. I asked them to credit the installation fee but they said it wasn't their fault. I had no dripping before the install so I don't get this reply. After reading the mixed reviews here, I was apprehensive about using this company. But I had already been burned by Home Depot, so I decided to go local where someone would perhaps feel more vested in keeping their word. (I first went to Home Depot based on their website statement that they would connect the ice maker when they delivered a new refrigerator. When the fridge was delivered a week later by a third party company, they used an excuse that sounded like their standard excuse to NOT connect up the water, so I refused delivery. I'm still fighting to get my purchase price refunded, but enough about 'the other guy'.) I found the salesman (owner) at Apache Appliance to be gruff and curmudgeonly. That's okay -- he's not going to live at my house; the product he sells me is! We discussed my needs (size restrictions) and found just what I wanted at a price comparable to what I had paid Home Depot. (By the way -- they sell only American made appliances, no Samsung or LG.) We wrapped up the order in less than half an hour, and since my fridge had quit working a week earlier and I would now have to wait another week for delivery and installation, he loaned me a 'cube' fridge (think college dorm -- two feet square, lightweight, sits on a counter top) to use during the wait. That made the wait so much easier! The guys (Ryan and Mike) showed up as promised, hauled away my 26 year old appliance, replaced my plastic water line with flexible stainless steel, leveled my lovely French door stainless steel model, installed all the shelves and door bins, removed the plastic, and took the 'ice cube' back to their showroom. My credit card payment was not processed until the product was delivered and installed. I feel good knowing I kept my money in my community and made a contact who I will return to for additional purchases or service on any of my appliances. read more

I just had my 18 year old range/oven one piece combination unit replaced by a two piece GE equivalent purchased at Apache Appliance. The ordering was simple, and Francis, the owner/ salesman put my mind to rest that the installation on my kitchen porcelain floor would go easily. Well, all went as planned, and the job took a little over an hour. The installers were professional and cleaned up after themselves as they were working. Nothing was damaged or chipped and I am am extremely happy. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that needs appliances. They ordered a heating element, showed up two days later and on time, and saved me hundreds of dollars by figuring out the existing element could be saved (a plastic knife had melted onto it.). This company is honest. Family owned. Given this type of honest and efficient service, I will be buying my appliances from this company from here on out. I purchased a refrigerator for my daughter from them. It didn't work for the space. I called the general manager to exchange the refrigerator for another one. He said NO. I told him my wife would call him and he said, I will hang up on her. She called Monday morning and asked where the return policy was posted. He said quite rudely that they did not have one. She asked again and said that we knew there may be a restocking fee. He said that they don't have a refund policy and that he wasn't taking It back then hung up on her. I highly recommend that you buy your appliances elsewhere! Their behavior is egregious and you are much better making a large purchase with a company that has a return policy and has customer service training, unlike them. read more

Had a washing machine delivered today. They were on time and it was flawlessly installed. They even put my gas dryer back in place for me, no easy task. Plus, Apache Appliance noticed that the vent pipe on the dryer (which I did not buy from them) had an incorrect end which prevented the vent from being tightly attached to my dryer. They replaced the end for me at no cost. Customer service does not get any better than that. Highly recommended. read more

They have been consistently helpful when I have had to buy a new refrigerator, stove, washer, or dryer, and are quick to make a "house call" for repairs when I need them. This company is unethical and unsupportive of quality customer service. My mother purchased a washer and dryer replacement. The installation went fine, the FIRST time my mom who is 76 years, to used the new appliance a loud noise and moments later an erratic bumping began. She immediately called the owner and was told to call the service department and to used the warranty - the unit is less than 2 weeks old at this point. I called the owner and requested a replacement unit, he was extremely rude and disrespectful, told me to have the service personnel give him a call once he arrived, about a week later the service guy shows up, instantly bothered that the request to call Apache was even being discussed. He told me he was not calling, he was there to repair ONLY. I called Apache back while the guy was there and the "owner" Francis stated to me that he was not replacing, he was not discussing and that "people like me" can call consumer services to deal with "MY" issues. Incredibly frustrated and unhappy with Apache Appliance. Called yesterday morning as both our washer and drier stopped spinning and was told specifically that no one could come out until the next day -- today -- between 8:30 and 11. After waiting until 11 I called and was told that the technician was given the job yesterday but that I was nowhere to be found. I had no phone calls or messages, and I was home for most of the day as I was waiting for an AC repairman to come. Now, it's the Friday before Memorial Day and I have no washer or drier potentially until next Tuesday. No apology at all. I had to cancel my own job for today, and as a substitute teacher if I don't work I don't get paid. Now waiting for another appliance repair shop to see if they can fit us in today. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Ideally, I would like an apology for the unprofessional behavior of the technician who lied about trying to reach me and a discount given that I have gone unpaid myself today waiting for NOTHING. read more
