I became intersted in stained glass recently, and as a gift, my husband signed me up for a class at Stained Glass Supplies. I can honestly say I have not stopped thinking about stained glass since. Molly was the instructor and she was great. Helpful, attentive, encouraging - everything you'd ever want during your first time. The class was a small group (4 of us) and was so much fun with music playing, conversations, and everyone learning from the instructor and each other. I don't have anything to compare this shop to, but it's small, cozy, and looks to be well stocked with opportunities to take workshop classes. Thank you Molly for a great class and really giving me the confidence to pursue stained glass as a hobby. I look forward to visiting this shop for supplies as I attempt to enter the world of stained class on my own! And shout out to Chonkers who slept all throughout our class, but woke up enough to congratulate us on our new pieces and see us out the door. read more

This store is amazing! The staff is amazing! The classes are amazing! The staff is always very patient, and they're really helpful! I brought in my pattern to choose the glass & Ron (the owner) helped me choose my glass and offered suggestions for my piece. They have a lot of glass to choose from, and if they don't have it, they will try to order it for you. Oh, I can't forget Mia, she is awesome!! Every time I come in for materials, she always takes time to walk around with me, and talk to me! They also offer classes. I've taken the stained glass class with Betty and she is phenomenal! She is so patient & is a great teacher!! The class has a library of books that you can choose from if you don't want to spend money buying your own books. They also offer fusing & mosaic classes. The teachers for those classes are also very nice! And the classes are still reasonably priced compared to other places! I definitely recommend this place. Even if you're not a glass artist, there's plenty to look at! The stained glass windows that are displayed (mostly for sale) were made by the advanced stained glass students, so it's great that they support their students work. read more

I started taking stained glass classes here three weeks ago with Bertha. Classes are $95 for 8 three hour classes. You buy your supplies in the store from Ron (owner) or Suzie as you go along and for bigger tools like grinders you don't have to buy your own, you can just use the ones in class. It's not the most expensive hobby you could take up. I really enjoy the class and the vibe, I just had class on Tuesday and find myself anxious to get to next Tuesday already! Besides classes, this store has a wide variety of colors and textures of glass and even some vintage glass. You can buy bigger pieces or have them cut down and they have sale scraps. If you need anything stained-glass related, this is your place! The block has metered 2-hour parking. During class we all go out to feed the meters after the first two hours. read more

I love glass!! I went in to Stained Glass today with my son for the first time and wow! It was awesome! Ron helped us figure out some gear for our project. We are total newbies and he helped direct us to some useful tools, materials and some interesting factoids. His love of glass, shared by us, is evident and I think he's just the coolest! Brought in a complicated design to show whoever was working here (Ron, it turns out!) and he asked if I'd ever worked with stained glass before. The answer was no, definitely not. I could tell I'd set myself a challenge, but he was more than encouraging. He jumped right in and helped me figure out what colors I needed and taught me how to use a glass cutter, specifically pointing out where my most difficult cuts would be. He seemed genuinely concerned for the success of my project and invited me back if I needed help with anything. 11/10 recommend this place. Came here to take classes for stained glass after seeing positive Yelp reviews. Yelp was right indeed! Their price is unbeatable and service is exceptional. Ron, the owner, is really the best person to come to for glass. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and really cares about the project you're working on. I know I can always just drop by and ask for his advice on what I'm working on. I signed up for once a week, 8 weeks stained glass classes with Bertha, who's equally AMAZING! After having taken the classes, I felt confident enough to start on a bigger project at home. Too bad that the store isn't so close to home. I just started a stained glass class and this is hands down the best store I've seen so far. Their prices are fair (we all know stained glass tends to be pricey!), the service is great, and their selection of glass is HUGE! I'd say it's at least 3 times bigger than the other stores near me. Definitely worth the extra drive if you are looking for that special color/ look. Bring quarters for the meters out front, or if you are willing, it's a short walk from the residential area behind the store. Oh, and if you are looking for your stained glass work to be done, it's worth checking out: half the store is dedicated to that! read more

I needed (2) 6"x6" pieces of "Glue Chip" glass, one with an angle and one with a curved cutout. I was told the cost would be $8.18 total for the (2) pieces. I had just left a Glass and Window Store in Highland Park that had my glass sample for (3) days before quoting me $70.00 for the same glass. I was blown away by the price and service. I waited (5) minutes for the glass to be cut "Perfectly" to my specifications. I live in the San Gabriel Valley about (45) minutes away but would not hesitate to walk to this establisment if I needed something glass related. I was greeted by a pleasent young lady who helped me and I was in awe at the skill the gentleman had in cutting my glass as I waited. I will tell my co-workers and friends about this place and am planning on enrolling in the stained glass classes that they offer very soon,and for very reasonable prices. Thank You !!! read more

Took the fusing class with Tania. It was awesome! She gave us a basic overview of how fusing works and expected outcomes from layering glass in different ways. Then she let us loose to do our own thing. Great! I am the type of person that wants to just jump in and give it a try - no hand holding for me! The pieces need to be picked up the next day so she had us do 2 quick pieces at the very start of class. That way we had something to take home for "show and tell". That was a nice bonus! In class you could make as many pieces as you wanted during the class time. I think I made 10-12 small domino size items for pendants/pins. Definitely worth the $85 class fee since all materials are included. Slumping class will be next on my list.... read more

This place is AMAZING! They have a huge selection of colors - every color and color combination you could ever imagine! I am an artist and was looking for a place to get colored glass and I read the reviews on yelp and decided to check it out yesterday... I was totally blown away by this store. I talked to Ron about what I was hoping to make but told him I have never worked with glass before. And he was so nice and sat there with me at the work table and taught me how to cut the glass myself. I have to say I was nervous to do it myself at first but he was very patient and helpful, and had me do it over and over until I got more confident! All the while giving me tips on what to do and what not to do. He was so kind and helpful! This place is a hidden gem! I walked out being so inspired! read more

This is a wonderful stained glass supply shop! I don't find places like this any more! I am making a mosaic using my old stained glass scraps from my projects many years ago. I needed more nice brown glass for my dragonfly wings, and beer bottles were breaking up too small because they are using a "safer" type of glass for bottles these days. So, I looked around for a stained glass shop that might have some scraps I could buy. The owner could have charged me whatever he wanted, be he said the scraps were a dollar a pound. He charged me 50 cents for my scraps! What a generous and honest man! If I decide to go back into designing windows or any other glass projects, this is the place I'll go. They have beautiful glass of all kinds, and also all kinds of caming. I was in and out in about a minute, but I'm sure there is more that I would have bought if I hadn't been in a hurry. read more

Ron was really helpful in showing me the best way to cut my glass once I got it home! These guys are old school; kind, considerate, experts. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!
