Wow!!!!! I loved visiting here and the wine was so good! Grounds are amazing and beautiful! The home looks like a castle . Huge and old! We sat outside and had heat lamps so we were nice and cozy! Wine was served with a charcuterie board! Details and stories for this winery are excellent! We did buy one bottle of our favorite wine . The gentlemen that work there are knowledgeable and very nice!

Hand up, ‍, I mistakenly booked my reservation at Stags' Leap instead of Stag's Leap. However, the tour and story at this place was very good. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and showed us a very good time on the tour and tasting. It's a cool story on how the estate has changed hands and modified to allow for service. The grounds are gorgeous, the house is immaculate, and we did have a good time. The wine....eh, not my cup of tea. Most of the wines were reminiscent of those full bodied over-powering, tannin-rich reds that Napa is known for - but I'm personally looking for more nuanced wines when I can find them. Overall it was enjoyable though.

Our visit to Stags' Leap exceeded all eight of our expectations. Madi was an exceptional host. Along with all the spectacular wines, Madi's depth of knowledge, kindness and truly delightful personality has made it a challenged for us to find a more accommodating and pleasurable experience.

Madi was our wine expert and she was the best! She was super knowledgeable about the history and wines at Stags' Leap. All of their wines were so good and our friend we went with actually signed up for the wine club membership because they were so good. We already booked our next tasting/tour because it was that great. Reservations are required unless you're a member (still recommended). The ambiance for the porch tasting was gorgeous, they had big open windows that looked out over the entire property. The only "con" is parking is a little tricky. Otherwise this is a definite must go to in Napa Valley.

Excellent your and tasting experience! I came here on a Sunday afternoon (New years eve). They don't do too many tastings/tours per day so definitely book early. That being said, I called last minute to join two friends and they were able to squeeze me in! I did the estate tour & tasting. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable- both about Stags' Leap and Napa in general- and friendly. Stags' leap is a beautiful estate with some cool history so I'd highly recommend the tour. The wines were all excellent! And while you might only see 5 wines listed, we actually ended up trying 8 in total! Our guide brought a few others out for us to compare. I ended up spending a bit more than I planned and got a pricy wine that I absolutely loved- early present for a celebration this year! Would recommend to others!

There are so many wineries in Napa to check out. I'm glad we stopped by Stags' Leap. Don't be like me and confuse it with the other with a similar name. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us the backstory in incredible detail. The building is beautiful, and the wine and cheese are superb. Be sure to check out the Speakeasy!

We had the most amazing time at Stags' Leap Winery on the Manor House tour! Our hostess was amazing! We were with a small group and got to slowly tour each room while tasting different wines and learning about the history of the estate. All were absolutely delicious! We ended in the dining room tasting the most delicious cheeses we've ever had! This was our absolute favorite stop while in Napa and highly recommend it!

Very nice smaller winery to enjoy a short stroll around the grounds. We didn't do a tasting here but enjoyed the quick visit.

Our wine tasting and tour with Madi was amazing! I couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience. I learned so much about this historic winery and mansion, toured the home and 1920's speakeasy in the secret basement. The outdoors was simply beautiful and the wine tasting was perfect! The 2019 LTD Edition Cab Sav was to die for... so I joined the Club and will now enjoy at home! This Winery Tour/Tasting is a must for anyone visiting Napa Valley!

This is a great winery. As a member the level of service I've received has been amazing! Jim Foster is a super star as he made sure the birthday celebration we had at their winery went perfectly. Our host Maddy did a great job with our private tasting on the porch which was nice with patio heaters to keep us warm. The wine selection is great with the variety of whites and reds to choose from. Highly recommend booking a wine tasting at this winery. Thank you so much Jim & Maddy! You are the BEST!

We came to Stags Leap this past weekend for the manor tour and tasting. We really enjoyed hearing the history between the manor home and the battle of the apostrophes! Our host, Marcelo, was very informative and friendly! We really enjoyed all of the wines that were poured during the tasting. We liked the Cabernet that was $140 the most. We had a great group on our tour who were all so friendly and we talked for about 30 minutes or so while tasting the last 3 wines. Everyone ended up purchasing at least one bottle of wine or even joining the wine club. Their reds were very good and I would highly recommend a tasting!

Sol was our host and she was just awesome. So personable and friendly. She took us on a tour through the manse with a glass of rose, and then we tried the Malbec, twelve falls, coombsville and Rutherford cabs, then the leap and na cede malis petite sirah, then the two dessert wines! We ended up joining the club because of the 25% discount (so it made it worthwhile). Or maybe not! . Anyway, the wines delicious the service even better and such a beautiful ambience. Highly recommend.

10/10 experience! Def recommend making a reservation and doing a tasting in the porch with Christian. We started off with a Chardonnay ("porch pounder") and then proceeded to try a Merlot and a Red Blend. Finally, we made our way to the Cabernets (their specialty) and closed it out a Petite Sirah. Each wine was paired perfectly with different bites from the board! We closed out the tasting with a brief tour of the grounds, inclusive of the speakeasy downstairs and "jail." The history of this property was also super interesting, dating back to Corus, Chase and Minnie Meissner days & prohibition. I'm excited to return and do another tasting with our favorite person, Christian!

Everyone having wine chose the Signature Flight, which included one white and three reds. I appreciated the option to substitute a Sauvignon Blanc for the Chardonnay, a nice personal touch. Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.

Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Owner Comment - Congrats on your family's success since 1939 and congrats to this winery's success since 1992.

After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!
