She said it was down the street Guy was at this restaurant. He got a lobster poutine. I saw it today at the restaurant. It looks scrumptious. We got a wonderful shrimp cocktail. The girls got fish tacos, which were huge.. And a lovely salad with pickled shallots and a tarragon vinaigrette. It was really good. I got the muscles and a white wine cream sauce. Never had it like this before. It was very good. It's half restaurant half seafood store. Lots of cool paintings on the wall mostly of pelicans. I love pelicans. The staff was spectacular. As I've said before, it's always nice to have a staff that makes you feel like they want you there. I will definitely be coming back. The next time I'm back up in Ottawa.

My partner and I shared a bowl of the clam chowder and it was spectacular. Almost wish I had gotten my own bowl, haha. We also got the PEI muscles in the garlic white wine sauce and the shellfest special seafood paella. The muscles were amazing and the calamari on top of the paella were delectable.

It was walking by and noticed a familiar name, Lapointe. I have no idea if they're associated but I know it as a local seafood shop and restaurant. It's nice to see a local place open up here. I popped my head in and it's a little counter service spot that looks to specialize in fish and chips, with burgers and poutines as well. There is very limited seating, probably enough for about 8 people around the edges of the store. I had a scan of the menu and ordered the fish and chips. I mean it only makes sense to start here. I grabbed a seat and within 10 minutes my order was ready. I noticed the fish and chips batter looked different than most of the fish and chips I normally have. Not saying it's a good or bad thing just different. I tried the fries, pretty standard fare. It also came with a small coleslaw which was alright as well. I tried the fish next and it was alright. I think the batter was a bit harder and crunchier than I personally like but some of you will definitely love it. The order was about $16 and I'm unsure if that is standard price in town or in the market. Just letting you know the price. If I ever want fish and chips, I have a place pretty close to grab an order in the future. Give it a shot and let me know what you think!

The place was quiet busy and the waitress was definitely worked out but she was very friendly and kind, she also accommodated few plates for the kids. Fish tacos were excellent everything else was ok, but the seating and the view beats it all! I got a virgin Shirley temple which was refreshing! Would definitely come back :)

We heard great things about this place, mostly about the view, and we took our chances during lunch. We were a bit confused at first because you see a "Kelly's Landing" sign, but it's a convenience store with a gas station. There was a nice gentleman standing outside that pointed a parking spot out to us and we saw people going down the stairs outside, on the left side of the convenience store, so we just followed them. The restaurant attached to/below the convenience store. It's important to note the restaurant isn't very accessible because of the stairs (no ramp), and there is limited space in the restaurant. It's fully outdoors, with half of it under a roof but still open, and half of it a patio with umbrellas. It's a seasonal restaurant, open March to October. It was a weekday, so there weren't crazy crowds or lines, but it was full with a waitlist. The wait was about 20 minutes and we waited at one of the benches down by the water. As long as you're not starving, the time goes by pretty fast when you have such a nice view. If you're not sure about waiting outside in the heat, it's also cooler by the water and under the shade of a big tree. It was fun to see people drive their boats there and dock at the restaurant. We sat on the patio but not right at railing closest to the water. Still a great view, though, and a nice breeze. My husband ordered a pint of Goose Island IPA and I got a pint of Mill Street Organic. The draught beers come in either 20oz (instead of a standard 16oz pint like some places) or a pitcher. We ordered the bruchetta to share (to come out at the same time as our mains), he got the steak sandwich, and I got the seafood boxty. The bruschetta was good and gorgeous. It had goat cheese and a balsamic reduction on three toasted baguette slices. I liked like the addition of the goat cheese and balsamic reduction, but it did make it slightly sweeter, which my husband wasn't super into. Their steak sandwich was highlighted as one of their feature/more popular items. It was a sirloin steak with onions and mushrooms on a toasted garlic baguette, with a choice of fries or salad as a side. The steak was cooked to medium rare, as requested. My husband enjoyed it. He mentioned that the garlic bread really made a big difference. I got the boxty because I never had one before and it's supposed to be their specialty. The Kelly's Landing boxty is a potato pancake stuffed like a crepe in a savoury cream sauce, with a side of steamed veggies and potatoes or rice. The seafood boxty has shrimp, scallops, salmon, and crab. The boxty was so good! It was lighter and fluffier than I expected for a potato pancake, a little crispy on the outside and around the edges. There was plenty of seafood in it and also crab in the creamy sauce. The sauce would be salty on its own, but it was nice with the boxty and wasn't poured on top so that you could control how much or how little you wanted. I'm sure you could ask for it on the side, too. The veggies were steamed but still nice and firm, buttery, and well-seasoned. The roasted potatoes were crispy. It was a really great meal! Our server was nice and fairly attentive considering the place was full. Parking was full but easy to get a spot, as people seemed to come and go fairly quickly. I didn't go to the washroom there, but I saw a sign by the dock that said they don't have a septic system and therefore don't have a public washroom. I easily overheat, so I'm not sure if I'd do well in an outdoor restaurant, even shaded, on a super hot day, but otherwise, it's a great way to spend a summer day and we'll definitely be back!
