Had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner at Stage. Exceptional ambiance that changes. Courteous service and exquisite dishes. I experienced the Valentines Day set which consisted of 5 courses. I dont drink so I did not pair the coures with alcohol. I savored each bite. There is ample parking for the building. Always fun to browse the furniture store as well.

What a fun cool yummy experience! The food was amazing, every bit was perfect! The ambiance was so artistic and unique. Loved all the different seating areas! Service was five s!! The duck special was probably my favorite . The wine bar area was also fun, you can buy a wine card and be able to pour 1oz to a full glass, I love trying new wines so having a 1oz of several was so much fun! But truly I cannot even explain just how good the food was, small menu but you really can't go wrong with what you eat! We ate so much this was one of the first times we couldn't even get dessert. That's how good our meal was!!!

    Complimentary amuse bouche just awesome

Fantastic new menu. Brought back the bubu state crusted salmon salad from past lunch menu. Still awesome. The complimentary amuse bouche was a very nice touch

Not my first time here--I've actually been to Stage a few times, including once on a quick work break just to enjoy the wine bar (haha). This time was special though--we came to celebrate my best friend's birthday! We were seated in a cute little area with a lovely view... of cars . It was my best friend's first visit, and since she's a big wine girl, I figured Stage was the perfect spot to take her. We started with a few appetizers and ended up sharing the Beef Wellington for our main dish. As always, everything was delicious. The service was just as amazing--Chieko (hope I spelled that right!) was an excellent server. She checked in with us just the right amount and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. I love coming here for the chill, low-key vibe, the beautiful interior, and of course--the wine selection! Can't wait to come back again.

The food and service is great. High quality ingredients and our server was very attentive and informative. Great decor and low lighting. A good setting to socialize with an intimate group or just a date. I loved the escargot, scallops and the elderberry panna cotta. Everything else was great but those were memorable. I highly recommend and will come back for the set menu.

This is a nice restaurant that I haven't been in a long time! Very airy and spacious trendy restaurant. I came with a friend for a retirement seminar! I had the Grilled New York steak medium rare just how I like it! Served with a mushroom demi glaze, Yukon potato puree and asparagus. We also had an Island Green Organic salad with greens, cucumber, radish, grape tomatoes, croutons in a creamy miso vinaigrette. Lastly, there was New York cheesecake mixed berry coulis. Vanilla bean with whipped cream and oatmeal crumble. Service was very attentive!

We normally eat and drink in the bar when we come here, but we decided to try the restaurant and I'm so glad that we did. This restaurant has the coolest decor ever. It's such a fun vibe with all of the unique designs. Plus, everything that we tried on the menu was delicious and my champagne flight had extremely generous pours. The service was exceptional and this is my new favorite restaurant for sure. I can't wait to go back. A nice plus is that there's plenty of free, safe parking in the garage below.

We love coming to Stage, especially Amuse- wine bar side. The food is always amazing, drinks delicious, and service is always impeccable. We love it so much that we decided to have our wedding reception here! So if considering for any kind of private event, please read on... We Highly recommend. We booked a private event in their Cupola Gallery and absolutely loved the entire experience. They allowed us to come in the evening before to add our own decorations, which we were so grateful for. We didn't have time to decorate on the day of the event, and this meant we didn't need to hire someone to do it for us. They worked closely with us on our beverage menu and were happy to accommodate specific cocktails, as well as welcome drinks served to guests upon arrival. That level of flexibility and collaboration was so appreciated. The food was phenomenal. We ordered three appetizers for a self-serve station--fried cauliflower, French fries, and Korean fried chicken--and all of them were outstanding. It tasted exactly as good as it does when dining in the restaurant. For dinner, we chose the three-course tasting menu from their event packet, with guest selections of miso salmon, NY steak, or vegetable pasta. The steak was incredibly tender, the salmon was perfectly cooked, and everything exceeded our expectations. Dinner included a starter salad, and dessert was the third course. Instead of plated service, the cheesecakes were displayed on our dessert table alongside additional cakes we ordered for a self-serve dessert station. We ordered three quarter-sheet cakes--strawberry shortcake, lilikoi, and vanilla buttercream--and they were so delicious we honestly wish we had ordered more. The staff was amazing throughout the event. Service was timely and thoughtful, and our main server, Crystal, was incredibly attentive to both us and our guests. Even though this is not a traditional wedding venue, we felt completely taken care of. For example, when the self-serve appetizers came out, they brought my husband and me our own pre-made plates to make sure we were eating too. They also packed up cakes in to-go boxes for us when our guests did the same, so we wouldn't miss out. If a guest tried to order something not included on our menu, the staff was happy to accommodate--but always checked with us first. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Joy, the sous chef and our main contact for the event. She was incredible from our very first emails through the night of the event. She was responsive, helpful, full of great ideas, and genuinely invested in making our night special. Many of the ideas she suggested were things we ended up using, and our event truly wouldn't have been the same without her. Our guests were talking about the food, drinks, and the space for days after the event. We were so extremely satisfied that we're already talking about what other types of events we can host here--we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. If you're considering a private dining event, rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, birthday party, or reunion, this is absolutely the place to do it. Incredible food, a beautiful space, and truly wonderful people.

3 of us enjoyed the happy hour during 4-6pm. Only 5 items on the menu. Except pizza, is so so, the other 4 are really delicious. The restaurant is quiet and well decorated. As we only order foods in happy hours menu, so we only can sit outside. For order dinner menu, you can move to inside seats. If come late after store closed hours, you can park your car in parking lot of furniture store then take lift to 2nd floor. Otherwise you are not able to find the door of the restaurant. :)

We recently had dinner here over the holidays to celebrate my daughter being home. I've heard a lot about Stage restaurant. It is located in the Honolulu design center, and you're able to park in the building for free. We made reservations for dinner on a Friday night, and it surprisingly was not crowded. The restaurant is very spacious, and has artistic feel. I started off with a beet salad, and then we all ordered entrées, including butterfish, mahi-mahi over risotto, and the salmon special. Portions are on the smaller side, but all the fish entrées, we're all cooked perfectly, not overcooked or dry. We finished off the night with a sorbetto dessert along with the chocolate macadamia nut dessert bar. All the food was beautifully presented, and aesthetically pleasing. Our waitress was Crystal, who provided us with excellent service throughout the meal. Would love to come back to try some of their other dinner entrées.

Brought friends from Japan and they were so pleased!!! I had not been here in YEARS, but I was so thankful that everyone in our party loved their food and the experience. The quality of the food was great and of course the ambience is gorgeous. It's like having dinner in an art museum. We were so happy to meet the Inspiration owner having a party there too. We stayed after to enjoy more wine at Amuse. It was just a wonderful evening!

Came here for a pau hana after work. Made a reservation and were seated immediately after we arrived. Food came fast and drinks took a little while. Very nice interior with bar seats and tables. Charcuterie board came with a good amount of food. I truly enjoyed the truffle fries! Crispy and delicious! I also had a lemongrass mint mocktail and it was super refreshing! Parking: Free parking. Entrance to the parking lot on Piikoi street.

I really don't want to give it a bad review but I was just genuinely disappointed by my experience here. I arrived with my partner at the restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The lighting is dark but is nicely complimented by the decor and lighting within. The waiter is very nice and patient with us, explaining to us the menu and such. HOWEVER, there was a sweet 16th party going on right in the staging area within the restaurant, although it was "closed off" it was still quite loud, especially whenever the door would be opened or closed. We just happened to be seated near the door, so it was extremely distracting to constantly hear music blasting. To imagine, it sounds like a bathroom at a high school party (with similar hip pop type music). It just really didn't fit the elevated and calm evening I had hoped for. Before I get to the food, I just want to preface that the noise did really ruin my food experience too, so maybe I was a bit more overly critical on some dishes. Food: - Grilled new york steak. 10/10. This was delicious, my partner raved about the sauce that accompanied the steak and I had to scold him to not lick his plate haha. - Grilled Pork chop: 7/10. It was fine to me, my partner liked it but I didn't care much for the pineapple compote that was with the pork chop. Additionally, despite its smaller portion size, there was still two decently large chunks of fat that both my partner and I deemed inedible (although some may enjoy that). It is cooked very well though, tender and juicy. The brussels sprouts were also very flavorful. - Tres leches: 8/10. My friend recommended this heavily to me so I ordered it. I was honestly slightly disappointed being so excited when I ordered it. It's good, but I feel that it isn't as wet as a tres leches should be. I had to explain to my partner that it shouldn't be as cakey as it is and it should be way more wet and moist. - The free brownie dessert was a nice touch for my little sweet tooth. I feel like it had a lot of potential that this experience did not live up to and I would love to give this place another shot in the future.

Ask the Community - Stage Restaurant

Where is the drop off point for rideshare drivers to drop off customers that want to go to stage (the address pin is the entrance to the parking garage off piikoi but that's not helpful unless you are a customer wanting to park)?

From being to Inspiration and Stage separately on multiple occasions, I feel that is the best spot for a vehicle to pull to the curb and load or unload passengers. A ride share or taxi can easily pull in to the driveway and turn around or easier,…

Does this place have any vegetarian options for entrees?

Is the pre fixed menu price per person?

Yes. But if you have two people , ask your server if you can order one pre-fixe and one entrée and share the appetizers.

I see a lot of reviews about the two-person seating facing the street. But how is the rest of the table seating? The photos make it seem as though you share a large dining table with other parties?

There some large tables that can easily fit 6 people, the one we dined in was that size. I'm sure they are also able to accommodate larger parties by putting two tables together.

Does Stage still do afternoon tea? I can't find their menu online but I went years ago and had a good time!

Aloha Courtney, Thank you so much for your inquiry. Stage has discontinued their afternoon tea.…

What is the dress code? I'm going there for happy hour and wondering what the proper attire would be? Would shorts be ok if I wear them with a button down? Thanks!

I don't think they have a dress code. The last time I went, I had shorts and slippers. But, casual attire would be fine.

Everything was bursting with flavor! This is what we had: Starter salad from the seasonal menu of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and greens served on a bed of yuzu infused goat cheese and drizzled with a shiso chimmichuri sauce. Yes, bursting with flavor! I would return for just this dish! Next shared was a tempura battered cauliflower served with a robust curry and yogurt reduction. Deeeelicious. I wouldn't say we licked the plate... but I won't deny it. Hahah. Finally shared the seafood in curry soup (think a lighter version of laksa) served with white rice on the side. Holy moly. Further research revealed Chef Lance Kosaka has brought experience from noteworthy restaurants: Top of Waikiki, Merriman's, 53 By the Sea, and most recently Mariposa. Not wanting the deliciousness of Chef Steve's cooking to end, I also ordered a warabi salad to go for the next day. It was...just as wonderful as the other dishes we enjoyed. I on the other hand had asked for a non-alcoholic option. Unfortunately, they ran out of ginger beer, all the sparkler options, and didn't serve any soda. The bartender looked pretty irritated by that point, and didn't even provide me with a glass of water. We would've grabbed a bunch of food to compensate for taking up a seat, but by then, the bartender had already dropped the check, and we hadn't even sat there for more than 5 minutes. The most interesting part was that an older couple sat next to us, similar situation. The gentleman asked for a glass of wine, and his wife asked for a non-alcoholic beverage. Though a different bartender came back with a sparkler option for her. Needless to say, I felt pushed aside and I don't believe I'll be back to this location any time soon. The only reason I didn't give this review a 1-2 star is that I recognize that Abe is busting his butt there. He was floating back and forth between this bar and Eleven. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Whether you're looking for a low-key happy hour, a casual date spot, or a place to unwind after work, this is a hidden gem worth seeking out. Pro tip: Arrive early for happy hour -- once more people discover this spot, it won't stay quiet for long.

Charming ambiance [Honolulu HI]…read more We came here by invite from Terry K and also had the pleasure of joining Therese and her hubby, Kevin. The cafe had a nice inviting feel that extended towards the back, the ambiance was dark and chic. The cafe was adorned with Halloween motif. We placed our orders at the counter which was towards the front section and our food were served at our table. I chose the Spinach Mushroom Goat Cheese Omelette and Lemonade for my drink. That homemade lemonade was so refreshing and delicious! Loved the delicious spinach and mushroom in my omelet. Hubby ordered a classic breakfast of Two Eggs w/ Bacon and Roasted Potatoes... wow! the bacon was crispy and yummy and just how I like my bacon cooked. He gave me 2-pieces, maybe because he saw me drooling over it LoL! but I'm telling you, Therese's Wagyu Cheeseburger on Brioche with French Fries looked mighty yummy too! Thank you, Terry, for inviting us to join you for a Sunday brunch. We had a wonderful first time dining experience here with good food and company! Review #3585

I'm currently choosing to avoid alcohol as much as possible, so I wasn't able to fully enjoy the incredible selection of wines recommended by the owner. However, I visited with a friend who is a true wine enthusiast, and they couldn't stop talking about how exceptional the wine selection was. The food, on the other hand, was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared and so delicious that it genuinely made me happy. You can really tell that great care goes into every plate. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with friends. Most of all, I want to compliment the owner and the entire staff. Their genuine kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality made our experience even more memorable. Excellent service can turn a great restaurant into a truly special one, and that's exactly what they've created here. Thank you for such joyful and memorable evenings. I look forward to coming back again soon, and I highly recommend Silver Lining to anyone looking for outstanding food, excellent wine, and truly exceptional hospitality.

They only serve natural wines, which made everything feel really intentional and thoughtfully chosen. We had a Pinot Noir, a super funky orange wine that was honestly really cool to try, and Coenobium -- a beautiful white wine made by nuns. At one point, a bottle of red wine was opened and poured as a little salute for the room -- a simple, unexpected moment that was really wholesome. For food, we shared the venison pâté with bread and a Caprese salad -- simple, but done so well and paired perfectly with everything. It wasn't just about what we had, but how the whole experience came together. There's something really special about what they're creating there. We are already planning our next visit!
