Ordered a cheese pizza and some garlic knots while babysitting so I couldn't leave the house even though it would've been a close drive. They took over an hour to deliver the children's highly anticipated pizza and when it arrived, it was cold. The garlic knots were super disappointing as well, tasted like plain dough with raw garlic and olive oil. The sauce was okay too, a bit sweet but tangy, could've been cooked more probably. I've had good experiences with them before but when I go in person so maybe I'll stick to that. Highly don't recommend for delivery.

Great taste, thin, nicely baked; floppy, floppy is fine with me, but bit more cheesy per my taste. I prefer cheese to stay on the slice. Overall tastes great and crust was light and cooked perfectly. Would like to try their other pies. Will order again if I'm the area. Parking: big parking lot Friendly Staff Wait time: 15mins

Can you tell which is the opening?

I've ordered from Stadium for decades, when a small pie was $5.50. That goes back to early 90s. I've been ordering the same Cheesesteak with grilled onion, I toasted bread, chicken parm, and penne with vodka sauce. However lately, they've been slacking off. See the cheesesteak pic. It's not packed with meat and you can't even see the cheese. The bread wasn't good. I called to see if I can get a new one, they didn't want to replace the sandwich. I still think this place is better than Vinnie's on Danforth. I hope Stadium goes back to the way they made their sandwiches, packed with meats, and cheese to a point that it's sticking on the foil.

I haven't been here since high school and when the Roosevelt bowling ally was near by. Always had one of the better plain slice and zeppoles in Jersey City. They're not as well known other than long time Jersey City residents, but they should be considered one of the best pizza spots. Decor is what you expect from a pizza spot from the 1970-1980s. It didn't seem to have changed. Time stopped at the doors. We ordered pepperoni slice, sausage calzone and 3 zeppolies + soda. $15 is a steal. The slice is well made as well as the calzone. Large, crusty bread, soft cheese motz and ricotta inside. A bit thin on the sausage. Sauce on the side. Put Stadium on your pizza rotation, tour of the best places to eat in Jersey City. Bookmark them, like now. After you read this. Recommended.

Alright now. I'm a Brit/Aussie in New York close to 8 years. Had all sorts of good, bad, and brilliant pizza. First time in Jersey. And just like that - this glorious, floppy, cheesy, oily without being too oily pizza just skyrocketed to top 3. Ordered a large cheese pizza, half cheese, half pepperoni and anchovies. $15, plus $2.50 for the toppings. It was floppy. Floppy, floppy. If you like floppy, cheesy pizza - you will love this. It felt sentimental eating this. Like I was eating pizza on teenage ninja turtles. It was just so good.

Chicken salad way too over priced. Probably will only come back if close to job site. Otherwise, not worth it

If you knew me, I always considered pizza as a separate food group aka the sixth main food group! Established in 1982, this small family-owned cash-only restaurant has been a beloved neighborhood staple known for its authentic Italian pizza along with other Italian dishes and a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere. With a glut of pizza joints, how would this pizzeria from Larry and Joe compare to others I've tried in the neighborhood!? PURCHASE [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 3.5 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($5.00): A large container filled with oddly similarly-sized rings, these were hot, medium-browned, semi-crunchy, and didn't have a tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (not sweet Maui) stayed intact. They were slightly oily, no dipping sauce given, and surprisingly good. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=Fo3zPbAgICQdKvznZJsvGA Mozzarella Sticks 6pc ($7.00): Simple finger-sized medium-browned cheese sticks with homemade marinara dipping sauce, we enjoyed them but nothing special to report. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=XdrF2nAAywvu13PpkK4mIQ Eggplant Parmigiana Sandwich ($10.00): If you knew me, this was my go-to Italian sandwich, and it didn't disappoint. Filled with plenty of thin but meaty slices of breaded eggplant, marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese crammed between a lightly-toasted bun, this was a hearty meal that stuck to your ribs - oof! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=8R68F6zBwAxy4vcpvi8wzw Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich ($10.00): My friend opted for this lightly-toasted bun stuffed with many thin but meaty slices of breaded chicken, marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese, it was good but not better than the eggplant! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=p7slICln5ZVWgsqatlY8WQ 18" 8pc Broccoli Pizza + Mushrooms ($19.00 + $3.00): Still in the throes of no-meat during Lent, we chose this interesting option with an additional topping for more flavor. This was a massive pizza with a ton of fresh toppings, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce with an incredibly crispy yet soft crust. This was simply an impressive pie, indeed! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=-5ich-E3lcSWgrzXYPVisA SERVICE I called ahead and placed my order with a friendly gentleman whose name I couldn't recall. I was told it would be ready within 45 minutes which was fine. I arrived a bit early to a very busy pizzeria, to which I waited an extra 15 minutes before my order was done and packed up. No worries, as I watched TV and simply observed the "mayhem" in this place. I wasn't in a hurry, so all was good - grazie! PARKING (Street; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots (no known private lot) along the main drag of Newark Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A simple interior layout https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=YA57QUy6J9z38Y_Kkkay_A with a tidy dining area of booths and a couple of small tables, a bar table along one wall, and the order counter that looked into the kitchen at the back. Several framed pictures of family members adorned a brick wall while the menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=4AsL8gHDPNd5MobPtL3MyA was posted on another wall. Plenty of natural lighting came through the front window and door while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There was one TV (volume on) while there wasn't any background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=4WAmbzYptvChB1edodHcSQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Larry & Joe's Pizzeria was an incredible example of a close-knit family eatery that was lovingly supported by the neighborhood and vice versa, which gave me the warm-and-fuzzies. From tasty food, large portions, reasonable prices, good menu selection, and wonderful service, this place hit all of the feels. And, I always loved supporting small businesses whenever possible. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $54.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). Sadly, they were CASH ONLY (my only knock), so no AMEX! 4.0 STARS

We also added a spicy and a grandma slice. The penne ala vodka was amazing. The noodles were cooked perfect and the sauce was amazing. The pizza is thin crust, and despite the different types of slices, the regular slice was my favorite. A shout out to the garlic knots which were terrific. The eggplant was very good, but the sauce and the sauce for the garlic knots to dip, were a bit too sweet for me. The eggplant came with a huge portion of spaghetti. Now I don't know if the sauce in this pasta was the same as the eggplant, but I enjoyed this side pasta very much. This was a very nice meal and I would have no hesitation ordering from them again. Short version: I came to New York for the first time and was excited to try Krispy Pizza after seeing all the Instagram hype. The guys online seem personable, and the pizza looks super fresh. The real-life experience was the opposite. I wasn't greeted when I walked in -- just had about 5-6 employees staring at me. All of the pizzas were already sitting out on the counter, and they just warm up whatever you pick in the oven. We ended up getting 5 different flavors to try out. To wrap it up: this was my first-ever "New York slice." It was good, but not great, and definitely didn't live up to the Instagram hype. I would be down to try their Brooklyn location to see if there's any difference -- but the problem is, I'm visiting, and there are dozens of other pizza spots in New York competing for your business.
