I tried! I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and support a local business, especially being that I met the owner. The fist thing the ruined was a rug. I got it back with pulls in it almost causing a medium size hole. The second thing they ruined was a shirt with rhinestones. I got my shirt back and two stones were missing (one medium and one small). I didn't bring either mishaps up with the business because they're damaged; there's nothing I see they can do to make it right. I also feel both damages were very visible so it seems dishonest of them not to proactively take accountability when I picked them up. Needless to say, I won't be returning. This place is absolutely horrible. First and foremost, it smells inside, like a mix of dead animals and garbage truck odor. At first, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was from something they had recently dry cleaned. However, after four visits, the odor was always there. On my fourth visit, they damaged my dry cleaning and refused to take any accountability for it. That was the last straw. I will be taking them to small claims court. The staff is friendly and although yes a lot are teenagers, whom else do you expect for a probably minimum wage job. All of my things are ready on time, they text when ready, nothing ever lost. They damaged our ties and owner (little man with white hair) denied responsibility, saying the ties were too old. The age of the tie is irrelevant to the expectation of receiving professional service. A service provider should take care of items entrusted to them regardless of their age, especially if no prior warning was given about potential issues with older items. The key issue here is the quality of service, not the age of the item. It's reasonable to expect that a garment given for cleaning would be returned in good condition or, at the very least, no worse than it was. Complete lack of integrity! Zero star! read more

How do I give ZERO stars? Here are pictures of how I received my clothes back from this dry cleaner. They would not take responsibility and he would not give me a refund. The hysterical and infuriating part of this situation was how he told me stains magically appear when they steam or press the clothes. Apparently I stained my clothes with invisible stain. I have spent hundreds of dollars with this cleaner and he had no respect for me or my business. He offered nothing, not even the simple refund of the cleaning of these items! Thieves. I gave them 2 shirts (exact same - different colors -black and white) and they charged me laundry cost for one and dry cleaning for the other. That's what they always do. I wanted to test them and then the lady at counter tells me that they ticketed me wrong and that they should have tickets dry cleaning for both since it was not 100% cotton. Total BS. She tried hard to find difference in the shirt but could not. The attitude that this girl had was ridiculous. No customer service . Never going back. Be careful of this place. BUYER BEWARE. This place gave us a quote for an article of clothing and then charged us 5x the price upon receipt. They blamed the ignorance of their young employees. Looking at past Yelp reviews, this is a pattern of deceitful behavior. DON'T GO HERE, unless you enjoy spending extra money to replace destroyed clothing. Chose this placed based on the fact it had a drive thru, which was important with 2 kids under 2. After a little while of taking my husband's button down shirts to be laundered, he noticed that holes in the elbow started to appear. After 8-10 shirts, I took them in to talk to the owners. My husband has been wearing these types of shirts for 15 years and this had never happened before. Their answer to Ralph Lauren shirts less than a year old having holes? This was normal wear and tear and not their fault at all. Once we stopped going here, we found that any shirt that was laundered here had a hole. THOUSANDS of dollars in shirts had to be replaced. Now that we don't go here? No more holes. It's completely their fault and they don't care. Take your business anywhere else. read more

Stacy cleaners always follow through. My cloths are always cleaned and pressed nicely. They also do light seamstress work.

Dry cleaning is done well, but it's expensive. There's no price list anywhere in the store, so be prepared to be surprised by the total if you dryclean in bulk. For me, It's 25% more expensive than other places. The website does have a price list. It's run entirely by teenagers, who come off as less than motivated. They don't count your items or put the total number of pieces in the computer or on your receipt. I've never had anything lost here, but good luck on your claim if it happens. I was very satisfied at first and have gone there since they opened, but in the last ~4-5 months they started putting small holes in clothes, shrinking clothes, and breaking buttons. I really liked the courteous cashiers, but it's not worth it to have my clothes damaged. I don't know what happened that caused this sudden change. I guess the cleaning was okay, but on my first visit, I asked to have 6 shirts laundered. They dry cleaned 3 and laundered the other 3. Apparently at random. Cost me about 15 bucks. I gave them one more try, with two pants and two shirts I had just bought - I wanted them pressed only and specifically requested that. I have been using this service for about the last year now. They are consistently friendly and helpful. My dry cleaning always looks great when in comes back. Any feedback that I have given them in the past they have put into the computer for future reference. Several months ago two of our shirts were torn in the laundry and they compensated us fully for their replacement. If I had one complaint it would be that I wish they issued more coupons to loyal customers. Overall, a great place to take your cleaning. read more

Please stay away from this cleaner. This has to be the worst cleaners in Allen TX. They lost four of my dress shirts (two of them were never worn they were dirty from my garment bag from traveling). I pleaded with the owner and his wife that I was missing four shirts and they looked at me like I was a crazy man and said go home and check your closet. 2 years later, 2 years later I get a call from the owner, saying I have 4 shirts that has not been picked up and wanted to know if they could send them to the Goodwill store. read more

My husband I used this dry cleaners for years with no bad experiences or issues. However, when the ownership changed my husband noticed that his dress shirts smelled as if they had not been cleaned. We continued to use Stacy Cleaners thinking it was a fluke, but the issue continued. They simply were not cleaning our clothes. I love getting my dry cleaning done here! I come here often as I need clothes dry cleaned weekly. I can drop off clothes and Monday and have it delivered Tuesday! This review is specifically for the location at 1314 West McDermott Drive #190 (in the same shopping center as the Kroger). I have been a customer at Charlie's Dry Cleaning and Laundry for over three years. I was looking for a dry cleaner that was 1) affordable, and 2) responsible in how they impact the environment, and for the last three years, Charlie's has appeared to fulfill both those requirements. A month ago on a Sunday, I purchased a nice, fairly expensive half-zip pullover cashmere sweater from Banana Republic, which was white. I wore it only once (the same day I purchased it), but got some mild wine stains on both the left sleeve and and where the sleeve touched my left side. Charlie's has been able to remove such stains before on various types of clothes I've brought in over the years with 100% success. I didn't feel I had any reason to be worried this time either. When I brought it in the following Monday, I made sure to point it out to the customer service associate who assisted me, and he promptly made note of it. I returned the next day on Tuesday, and everything I dropped off the day before was ready, except for the sweater. When I inquired about the missing sweater, the associate stated he could not locate it. He inquired about the status of my sweater with his manager, Tom, who confirmed with me that it was still being "worked on." Okay, no big deal. He asked me to give him until tomorrow, and it would be ready. I returned on Wednesday. It was still not ready. I returned on Thursday...and it was still not ready. Finally, on Friday, I returned yet again, and when I was told the sweater was still not ready, I asked for Tom. Tom told me that, due to the nature of the stain (it being a wine stain), it was taking considerably more effort to remove it. This is not the first wine stain I've had them remove, nor was it the most severe, but I deferred to Tom's judgment on this. He asked me to give him until Monday of next week for it to be ready. I waited until Thursday, and it was FINALLY available. It was delivered to me, neatly folded and pressed on a hanger. I was happy for the saga and runaround to finally be over with. Without inspecting it any further, I went home. As soon as I got home, I removed the protective plastic bag from the sweater and tried to unzip the half-zipper so I could hang the sweater up and allow it to air out for a couple of hours, as I typically do with all my dry cleaned items. I noticed however that the pull tab of the zipper was broken, and not just in half; the entire tab was MISSING. On top of that, the slider was extraordinarily difficult to move up or down. After about two minutes of tugging on it gently and being wary of breaking it, I grew frustrated and ripped it down. From that point, I was able to see that the teeth of the zipper were not only completely rusted, but that the rust had stained both the tape width and the cashmere in the immediate surrounding areas. I was infuriated. I called the cleaners back, but Tom was unavailable on that day. I was instructed to call back on Friday, when Tom would be available. I called back while I was at work on Friday morning and explained the situation to Tom. I explained to him the following: * How I was disappointed that I was misquoted on the availability of my sweater several days in a row * How no one offered to simply call me when the sweater would be available instead of forcing me to come in every single day of the week * How poor the quality control at the cleaners was; how was it that a RUSTED and BROKEN zipper on a sweater that was VERY difficult to zip up in either direction was determined by someone to be presentable enough to pass off to the customer without anyone noticing? Someone clearly half-assed their job and tried to weasel their way out of consequence by not taking responsibility for this. Upon expressing all these concerns, Tom was monosyllabic and sounded dumbfounded at my dissatisfaction on the other end of the line. Initially, he did not appear to have much to say, but became increasingly agitated as I rattled off my long list of reasons for how annoyed and inconvenienced I felt. Then, at some point, he interrupted me to explain that the ENTIRE sweater had to be soaked in a bucket of water overnight (possibly for multiple nights in a row) before the stains would come out. I, of course, balked at this, because 1) there were only two stains, and the were on the sleeve and bottom opening of the sweater, and nowhere near the zipper, and 2), if the sweater HAD to be soaked, whose bright idea was it to dunk the ENTIRE sweater into the bucket? To me, this sounded like a very horrible, unnecessary, and thoughtless stain removal process, not to mention that whoever was directly responsible for this error clearly was negligent in his or her entire approach.
