The Stacks truck was parked outside of a photo convention I attended. This event gave out vouchers for free burgers and I'm very impressed how they were belting out burgers for dozens of people while maintaining friendly service. I stepped up on my turn and ordered a Three Pigs burger - Single patty, lettuce, maple aioli and slices bacon. It was surprisingly sweet and held together nice. Also, a side of fries which are alright, nothing too outstanding. I'd absolutely get burgers from them again, particularly because by the time I approached the truck several of their other specialty burgers were sold out which include "The King" burger which as won an award and features peanut butter and raspberry jam and the "Cryfecta" which includes jalapeno's giving it some spice. Starting off with the food was good! Got the cali loaded fries. Okay, the reason for the bad review. To the woman running the till at emerald downs on Kentucky derby day. I heard all the negative things (putting it nicely) that you were saying about the order in front of me. Your customer service was short and curt. Not sure if you were having a bad day or if you were overwhelmed but your attitude definitely indicated as such. You had such a snotty attitude for the couple that simply asked for a bun. Stacks burger truck recently came to my neighborhood and it was an okay experience. I ordered a double stack on a gluten free bun and my roommate ordered the The Beast. The double stack consisted of two charred 4 oz patties with tomato, lettuce, and pickles. The gluten free bun was tender but the melted American cheese adhered more to the bun than the burger resulting in the bun oddly falling apart like in large chunks. It was weird. The meat was a bit too charred for my taste so instead of tasting the meat I mostly tasted burnt beef. I know some people love that but I don't particularly. The fries were ok. They were very hot but not notable in any way. They tasted like frozen grocery store fries - nice but unremarkable. Just had a burger and fries at the Farmer's Market from Stacks. The 3 Little Pigs bacon burger was the best burger I've had in ages. And I've seen mixed reviews on their fries but I went right when they opened and the fries were perfect. Hot, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. And it was the most affordably priced option out of all the food trucks there. Highly recommended, can't wait to go back if they come again next week. read more

I found Stacks food truck parked at BECU in Tukwila one day and thought I'd try them. Not sure how often they are here but it was a good find. It was sometime in December so it was definitely freezing. I had just finished paying and they already got my order ready for me!! It was my first time here and wasn't sure what to get. I asked the guy taking my order what he suggests and he asked me if I'm pretty adventurous and recommended "THE KING" burger. Not reading what was on it, I just said yes.. after he put in my order, I read that it actually had raspberry jam and peanut butter!! He said that usually throws people off but to just try it. Service was great - I'm just not enthralled by the vegetarian option here. The portobello mushrooms were nicely sautéed but they didn't seem to be the equivalent of an actual burger patty being between the bun. Stacks has catered two school events for us. This last one was for our staff who could not have been more happy about having a delicious hamburger for lunch! The Stacks food truck came by yesterday to the Adobe offices for the Vloggerfair. I ordered their most popular burger option which was a double with bacon and bbq sauce, pickles, etc... The only thing it might have missed was an onion ring (I'm an old-school fan of Carl's Jr double western bacon), but the burger was great. I really enjoyed the flavor combination. While pretty full, I couldn't stop eating the burger, and the pickles tasted great. Freshly made string french fries complemented the meal. They threw me a free soda, and I threw them a nice tip. Used to be a great food truck. Now they definitely do not care (who cuts a burger bun like this?). Just one example of how they don't care. I've seen them casually mess up other people's orders and mine as well. They are always out of something on the menu (early in the day, so not likely because of business). The quality of the food went down hill too. Used to be fresh ground beef, now it's clearly frozen and factory formed beef patties. My company has used Stacks Burgers a couple of times and each time, everyone in the office commented on how good and fresh the food is, and the service from the 2 guys on the truck is excellent. How do I start, I had been working with The Stacks Food Truck since February, The Stacks Truck was to come to My Daughter's Wedding and serve which was to be the "Best Hamburgers around. Her Wedding was the beginning of August, my daughter got to personalize the burgers which was exciting for her and her fiancé. This all turned into which was suppose to be the most memorable event in her life "Her Wedding" A complete disaster. The food truck was to show up at 4:00 and start serving at 5:00, but no the Food Truck didn't show up until 5:30. The people on the truck didn't apologize for being late, they had fixings for burgers that weren't there, the ketchup container broke, they didn't have drinks which were to be handed out with the meals, they didn't know that my daughter and fiancé named the burgers. The Bride my daughter went to order her burger and the guy in the truck said "what the F... is a ......... burger. People left the wedding un fed. The last table was served at 8:00. As you can tell this was a complete Nightmare. I contacted the owner of Stacks which was apologetic, he asked what can I do to make it better. I have yet to see her deposit returned and he is not charging us a dime, he said he would call my daughter to apologize " he left a voicemail ". Grabbed a burger when they were at the Goodwill Glitter sale. Great burgers, not your typical burger with no flavor whatsoever of beef.. Nice fresh taste. Definitely not worth the money or the wait. It took 15 mins for them to take my order and another 20 mins to get my hamburger. The truck was dirty especially the ketchup bottle with the pump. Yuk.
