I am OBSESSED with Stacked in Crestwood! I've been a huge fan since their opening day! My favorite meal is the olé skillet w/ the chicken chorizo option-ITS AMAZING! My husband and I always order a couple different kinds of their specialty pancakes as sides too! My two go-to's are the fruity pebble & salted caramel pancakes! Nice decor waited to be seated 15 minutes on Saturday not bad. Was seated without menu. Waitress showed up 3 minutes later to ask why I was seated without menu and asked if I needed one. I gave her the duhhh look and said that would be nice. Ordered Denver Omelette very fluffy flaky looked like someone HAND molded and smoothed the omelette like pottery. Also had funny texture to the point of not resembling ordinary eggs. Pancakes cold fell apart to a under cooked sloppy mess. Hashbrown good. Sausage patties tasteless. Coffee average. This place was busy when we went. They had sanitizer available, all the food was served in covered containers, and the staff wore masks, which I think is great! The food, veggie skillet, pancakes with strawberries topping, turkey bacon, lemon blueberry pancakes, hash browns, eggs, and turkey sausages were delicious. However, I think if you're a person who's against your pancakes being softer from the toppings, ask for light toppings. Outside of that, I really enjoyed this place and will be back. read more

Was really looking forward to trying this new place. I love breakfast so my son and I went to Stacked on Wednesday, May 24 at 10:30 am. The place was not busy but there were a couple of tables. We were seated in the back and our waitress came by and took our order. I had the Original Eggs Benedict and my son ordered an omelet. The ham is supposed to be cut from the bone but I got a piece of grizzle that covered half the muffin and looked like it had already been eaten. The waitress never came back. We waited 10 minutes after we finished eating and I finally got up and got my son a box for his leftovers. We then waited 5 more minutes and no waitress. Went to the cashier and asked for our bill. This place was hidden gem - I came out to Crestwood for a vet appointment, needed a place to sit for a couple of hours. Lisa the waitress was great - kept my coffee cup filled and did not rush me to order! She was attentive but not pushy. The food was good and the portions were BIG. The $$ was average. This is a GREAT addition to the village of Crestwood. They do breakfast like no one else. Their plates are works of art that are plentiful and amazing. Love this place. Come here often, but I recently had the fried chicken waffle sandwich, and it was pretty good. I ordered take out, so by the time I got home and got to eating it, the waffle was a bit soggy, but that's to be expected and didn't take away from the food tasting good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing when I got the portobello mushroom and pesto sandwich with fries and a bowl of clam chowder . I probably should have gotten an omelette or some breakfast food because that all looked good. The clam chowder was seriously the worst clam chowder I ever had . It was basically a fishy tasting cream soup with a bit of a carrot in it and no clams or potato. It was very disappointing because I love clam chowder and i was so excited when i heard it was one of their soups of the day. So, do it right or don't do it at all ! The sandwich was kind of blah. Not much flavor. I am not sure if they forgot to add a sauce or something but it was drab . The owner needs to go to Hog Wild and try their portobello mushroom sandwich and copy it . Now for the good, our waitress was really good . She filled up our coffee (which was good) , she wasn't annoying at all and left us alone unless we needed her. The place was really clean too. I will go back again and try something else because every place deserves a second chance but I am being generous with a 3 here because that soup sucked pretty bad . read more

Literally had a terrible experience. I ordered food to go and we got it home my daughter bit into her French toast and there was a rubber band in it. I had no idea what to expect when I walked in...well...I can honestly say I have never had a better experience on the South side. Three words: homemade.potato.chips. The moment I walked in, I was treated with a super happy staff that made me feel right at home. The service was excellent and the.food.was.outstanding. The suburbs have never seen a place like this. From the cinnabon inspired french toast to the best BLT I've ever had...I think the mayo might be made in-house; it was just one great surprise after another. I heard their other restaurant received "best of the southland" and it's no wonder. I recommend going in starving, because you'll want half the menu to start. Well...the service was awesome. The hostess was very friendly as she greeted us as soon as we walked in. I came here with my family on a Monday because I did not want to wait forever. I also know how a kitchen works when it's busy so I prefer slow days. I ordered the banana nut waffle which was awesome you really can't mess up a waffle with nuts and bananas. My husband ordered a country skillet, and it was flavorful, but super greasy on the bottom. I ordered a grilled cheese for my 2 year old and the cheese was not even melted. As if they rushed to make it! However there were only about 5 tables in the restaurant so why would they rush? Not sure! And my side of bacon was cold as well. Hmmm so a little disappointing and I felt it was a tad bit pricey compared to other breakfast spots around. But the decor was cute! read more

I've never been to this restaurant and my father want to try it out. so I called ahead and I asked a specific question about their menu. I get there they are busy we wait an hour to be seated which is fine, when we get the chance to order the waitress informs me that we were informed wrong. she offered to get the manager. the manager came over and that's where the problem begin. explained to the manager what happened that I called and I was given wrong information. the manager then stated " not possible, I am the only one that answers the phone and I never took a call like yours". and then proceeded to show her my phones call history and showed her the number I called and in fact was this restaurants number and I was on the phone for 5 minutes. she again said not possible. I stated this is ridiculous I'm not arguing about this anymore I'm just going to leave a bad review and just leave not worth my time. she then stated ho really over that and then she just walked away. when I originally asked to speak to the manager I was just going to tell her that the employee that answer the phone (which infact sounded exactly like the girl up front, it was a young female voice, but was told NOT POSSIBLE) that if they are unsure of something that they should go and ask the manager before they give a definite answer to the customer. so a very tiny thing blew up into a big thing because the head manager was so rude. why would anyone lie about making a phone call and go as far as to forge their call history???? I wish the problem and did there but it didn't. I called the other location in oak lawn and ask to speak to a manager. I was told the manager is not there. very strange but okay. I asked if she wouldn't mind passing along my information to the manager and have them call me back. nobody has bothered to call me back. I've never experienced such rudeness in my life! I even had a discussion with one of the employees apparently this manager is not liked by the staff either she's not a nice person. apparently the owner does not seem to care because no one has bothered to call me back. in addition to all this as we left my father left his Cane there and we immediately called the restaurant and they said there's no cane anywhere. lol I doubt someone stole an old man's cane! read more

I am usually a big fan of STACKED...but yesterday I took two friends that had never gone, and I was so disappointed! The waitress was professional but not what I would consider friendly or engaging; but the booth was out right dirty ( we sat at the large circular booth right at the front door). When I reached for the salt and pepper they were stuck to the table with syurp! We had to request extra things that we initially asked for with our order. I visit both location's regularly, and I have never experienced this. I was so disgusted and disappointed. I did make mention of our experience to a Manager who thanked me and said she would address the issues. After raving to my friends about Stacked for so long it was a bit of an embarrassment for me. read more

Had the Steak skillet, it very good. I didn't need any sauce. Plates were too small for pancakes, not enough room to put syrup on.

Okay. I got to help them out because they get it right every time. Before I get started you will have to wait for something good. It's called anticipation and it's worth it. Things they always get right. Pancakes, Omelettes and Coffee. Bacon done right. Friendly service. Candy for the kids. Have you tried their burgers? Okay there used to be this place in the Evergreen Plaza called Wags. It's the same burger and fries. Nothing overly fancy but everything done to perfection. Presentations are awesome. Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe look out. World Famous Lou Mitchell's look out. Stacked has came out of nowhere and is giving people what they want, which is good food. read more

I've been going to stacked for the last 5yrs and have always ordered the same thing, the stacked special ( 2 eggs, 2 pancakes or 2 French toast and either bacon or sausage ). What I always do is substitute the eggs for toast. I've never had a problem before when doing this. So my wife and I went to the new stacked in Crestwood and again I ordered the stacked special but the waitress told me that she won't be able to substitute, I explained to her that I've been doing the same thing for the last 5 years at the restaurant in oak lawn and she told me is that they've were doing it wrong. The price between eggs and toast is a wash. I'm not asking for steak instead of eggs. It may seem trivial to some, but I like the fact of going to a place and have consistency. HORRIBLE-DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I honestly have never been so disgusted with a business before in my life! I attempted to take my mom to a nice breakfast as she was in town from hours away! When we were seated we had such a rude waitress from the get go but I figured maybe she had a lot of tables and let it go. Then we ordered and received our food and I could not believe there was 3 nasty black HAIRS spread throughout her food (on her sandwich, in the fries, and on the toppings) and I had a DEAD FLY on my pickle. When we told the waitress she did not even apologize she just said "oh my god I doubt there's a fly on your pickle" rolled her eyes, and ripped the plate out of my hand. She was stomping around visibly telling all of her coworkers how horrible we were as a table and then wouldn't even give us the courtesy of looking us in the eye and just spoke from across the room and said "your meal was taken care of" in an awful tone and basically kicked us out. I have never been treated so horribly at any facility, especially one that's new and trying to gain customers!!! My mom had just been driving for hours to come visit, why would we make up that there are nasty things throughout our food? It's not like we ate the food and then said it....we had absolutely no reason to lie! To the management of stacked--Is this really how you want your restaurant to be managed? Your hiring staff needs to do a better job and maybe your training should include customer service training and customer appreciation!!!! As a former waitress, I am APPALLED and would never dream of treating customers the way we were treated the other day! You will NEVER receive my service again and as I live in the area I will be telling every person I know/meet not to waste their time, money, or energy here! This rating is for THIS visit alone..I just went there this morning and it was the worst breakfast experience I've had. I don't know if they were short staffed on a holiday or what. But my waitress was running around like a chicken w her head cut off. I ordered over easy eggs sausage n hash browns. Everything was fine except the hash browns were COATED in oil. When the oil sticks to hash browns like that the oil isn't hot enough. They were gross. Also they are known for jumbo sausage. I got normal sausage.. maybe they were out (it happens) but at least warn me first. Since the waitress never came back I couldn't tell her. Also that means I paid whatever for a cup of coffee that was NEVER refilled. When I was done she took my plate and said she bring check. Didn't ask how was everything ! I just wanted to leave at that point. Problem was 15 min later she still hadn't brought the check. Finally I just put $20 bill on table and walked out. read more

I was in the restaurant Sunday. Very busy, but was sat accordingly. Hostess Was very nice and welcoming. Waitress was at our table within a minute of sitting down. Food was out within less than 10 minutes. Coffee was refilled constantly! For being such a crowded busy place customer service was 100%. I got the steak skillet and Oreo pancakes. This Business does not respect Black People. On Sunday morning, April 28,2019 my husband and I went to Stacked on 14306 S Cicero Ave, Crestwood, IL 60445 for breakfast. We had been there a few times before so we knew it would be a wait but we did not expect a 30minute wait. The food and service was good on our previous visits so we waited. The waitress was great; she took our order as soon as we were ready. My husband is a vegetarian who does not do dairy so he was very specific with his order. He ordered the Veggie Skillet without eggs. It was so busy, the owner or head manager delivered our food to our table, however the waitress could see eggs was on the plate placed in front of my husband and she apologized and explained to the owner/business manager that the order should not include eggs. The owner took the order back and later came back with a skillet minus the eggs (we thought). My husband and I was so busy talking he did not notice until he was almost done eating that small bits of eggs was in his plate. We called the waitress over to show her and again she apologized. We left her a nice tip and when I went to the counter to pay I explained that I did not want to pay for the Veggie Skillet because they had eggs. The cashier called for her mom who was the owner/business manager. Once she came over I explained I did not think I should pay for my husband's order because of the egg and she kept saying well he ate the full meal. I explained we did not notice because we were talking and not pay attention to the food. She could not understand it was not about the money and she should have been sorry because my husband could have gotten sick because he has not eaten eggs in years. I could not believe she did not think about what if we asked for no eggs because he was allergic. All she kept repeating is that he ate the full meal so he had to pay. When I decided to write this review, I checked Yelp, and now I understand why she turned her back to me after saying he ate the full meal so no refund, she is a racist. I have not met many racist is my day but the evidence is clear, this business does not respect Black People. read more
