This has always been on my list of places to visit when in Terre Haute. Finally made it there and I was not disappointed! It is nestled near Downtown Terre Haute. They do have a parking lot with plenty of parking. Upon walking in, you realize it is really a Stable! The way it's set up is beyond different. It offers a warm and cozy feel. It's pretty dark inside but not too dark. We did have reservations and were seated right away in one of the "stables". :) The service was a 10/10. We never waited long for anything. We had several people attending to us and really made us feel special. We both ordered steak, NY Strip and Ribeye. Both were very good. Unlike many steak houses, the steak comes with a soup or salad, and a side. We both opted for potatoes and wedge salad. On average the steaks were around $65 so I think that's really a good value. Places in Indianapolis are $65 just for the steak. We also ordered dessert because...why not? We opted for the bread pudding. It was good, not amazing, but solid. I would say we will be back when in the area. Between the parking, the food value and the service, there wouldn't be a reason not to!

Really enjoy the ambiance and service at stables, however, the food was not as good as expected, portion were kinda small. If you want a better steakhouse at the price point in Town go to J.Ford black angus. Porterhouse is amazing! The bread pudding was amazing, so tasty

The service is outstanding. Our waiter was very descriptive with specials, and gave personal recommendations for appetizers, entrees, wine, if people were on the fence or asked. It's an interesting place, and I could see regularly stopping here for a mixed drink before or after dinner elsewhere, Stables is very expensive. Our party all found the Prime Rib tough, and one expert ordered it medium rare, it should have been mouth melting tender. For the price, the cuts and cooking needs to be A+. Appetizers were very good, the crab cakes exceptional, all the salads were good, and very unique huge portions. Everything was decorated nicely for the Holidays and a jazz duo was singing standards and Christmas Carols, a nice touch. Very good steakhouse in TH albeit pricey for the quality.

This place is such a unique find nestled in Terre Haute. The ambiance is hard to beat and different from any place I've ever visited. The restaurant is in what used to be an horse barn and you can tell. The dim lighting with each table in an old stall and decor all horse/barn related made it a fun experience. The menu is a typical steakhouse so I expected a typical average dinner, but everything I had exceeded my expectations. The crab cake special came out as two huge burger sized crab cakes and they were so good. Meaty and moist - I didn't use any of the sauce it came with and actually would ask for it on the side next time so they aren't drowning in it. Same with the salad - it's a heavy dressing pour but the actual wedge salad was great. I had the shrimp dish for dinner and loved it. PLENTY of shrimp and the marinara/tomato based sauce that comes with was the perfect addition to elevate what could have been too simple of a meal. The side of sautéed veggies it came with was a large assortment and was buttery and flavorful. The drinks were great and I wish I'd tried dessert, but just a reason to go back! The service was good - we had a large group around the holidays and I'm sure they had their hands full with a packed restaurant. It was slow and delayed a lot, but in the end we didn't mind since we were all visiting and chatting.

We truly love this place. It's a cool atmosphere, the wedge salads are the best salads ever. The steak is so yummy and the bread pudding is wonderful!

One of the best steak dinners I have had! Classy ambiance, love that the tables were separated in "stables". Staff was friendly and provided great recommendations.

The bug on the plate meal I did not order.

You have a glass (OK, two glasses) of a nice Barbera d'Asti, and savor a couple of nibbly things. Everything is sparkly and right in the world on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. All this and more can be yours when you visit Wine & Rind. At least, all that and more was mine when I visited. This is my ideal restaurant: wine focused, with a succinct menu of beautifully presented and thoughtfully created food. Plus, it's located right off the Monon Trail in Midtown Carmel, so it's a prime space for people-watching. This little restaurant is a great place to get a charcuterie platter, but I was feeling like bruschetta when I visited, so I ordered the Bruschetta Sampler, which is plenty for two people. It comes out like artwork on a wooden platter: five beautiful bruschetta toasts consisting of traditional tomato; fig and bleu cheese; capocollo and a herbed ricotta; blueberry and lemon ricotta with sugar sprinkled on top; and strawberry and cannoli cream with balsamic. The last one (strawberry and balsamic with cannoli cream) was surprising and might have been my favorite, because it tasted like cheesecake. I love being surprised! I also ordered the caprese salad, which was a wonderfully tasty platter of tomato, mozzarella, basil, pesto, olive oil, balsamic glaze and Maldon salt. It was so fresh and light. Another surprise: It was sprinkled with sprouts! I would have never thought to add that to a caprese, but it 100% worked. The service here is top-notch. The server was super nice and attentive, but also disappeared and only reappeared when necessary. Wine & Rind is a Carmel gem! I know I'll be back soon to try more of the menu, and drink more of the wine.

We got a wine recommended by our server and it was also a great pick. I will most definitely be back here!! I imagine it's even better on a beautiful summer day!

I am writing about a delivery, so I can't comment on the restaurant itself. I took a star off because they did not provide any utensils or napkins in the delivery bag which made for a delayed meal since I had to go searching for a fork. The garden salad was very good. So crisp and fresh. The tomatoes were yummy, and I liked the surprise of celery amoungst the greens. The greens were mixed and not just iceberg which elevated the salad quite a bit. I always say I judge an Italian restaurant by their sauce, and this one was ok. Very sweet. Not thick. It wanted for something. I ordered the half portion of angel hair pasta, and it was still a very generous amount. I added a meatball which tasted more like an Italian sausage in a ball with a bit of spice and a chewier consistency. I wasn't mad at it, but it wasn't the seasoned ground beef crumble I expected. All in all, the meal was good, just lacking in some of things I expected from a place everyone seemed to like about it. I would probably go back and maybe try some of the other dishes next time I am in Terre Haute, if only to see if maybe it was just that order.

The food was good, and our server was very kind and attentive. However, it will be a while before we return because we are a bit shocked. A near 50% up-charge seems pretty greedy to me.

The space is filled with soft music playing from a record player, with a modest but venerable collection of vinyl ranging from the orchestral works of Jean Sibelius to Snoop Dogg. If you know Cafeteria & Company or the Broadway Food Hall, Analog is owned and managed by the same group. If the excellence in service within those establishments was to serve as any precedent or standard for what was expected of Analog, I'm pleased to say that Analog did not disappoint. The server behind the counter was attentive and generally knowledgeable about the wines. You'll see the wines and several tasting notes along the wall. Service is quick and provided with a smile. While I would have appreciated some varietals apart from your typical cabernets and sauv blancs, the wines offered were of great quality and value. Of the ones I tried, the 2015 R. Stuart Pinot Gris Big Fire was especially nice. All in all, Analog is a great addition to downtown Urbana and serves as another viable community gathering space. As was alluded to in the beginning of this review, I walked out thinking about how nice it was to enjoy a drink while being able to see my friends in bright lighting and not having to yell over loud music. If you're looking for a relaxed and non-intimidating space to enjoy wine, whether in company or solitude, this is the place to be. PS: Please expand your hours!

This one, however, rocketed to the top of our list among Hoosier wineries whose products we have tried. Not only was the wine a treat, the experience of the visit was also memorable. The facility was very nice, from the impressive external landscaping to the lovely wine shop/tasting bar to the relaxing garden-patio-themed dining area. We visited with the intention of just doing a tasting but ended up having a light lunch along with that tasting. We were glad that we did as the charcuterie board that we ordered was terrific with olives, naan, hummus, chips, cucumbers and more. It was enough to be shareable. But the highlight was still the wine. We also shared the flight as we did not want to overdo it. We tried the Peach Sangrini, Peach Pie, Lemon Moscato, Raspberry Espresso and Sweet Red Lime. All were good but I'd have to say that the standouts to me were the Lemon Moscato, which was refreshing and tasty, and the Sweet Red Lime which delivered what the name implied with a citrusy, lightly sweet flavor. The prices were not bad as I thought it was a good value for what we received. I would be remiss if I did not also note that the service was top-notch. Our server was efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. The greeter was also pleasant and welcoming. It is likewise noteworthy that we had our 8-month-old granddaughter with us, and it was greatly appreciated that they offered a family-friendly experience that accommodated her as well. Our daughter and son-in-law live in Indy, so this place is just an hour or so away.
