What a surprise! The barn is an amazing charming atmosphere and the food, albeit lightweight, tastes amazing. It's also very keen of them to offer a healthy craft beer selection as an alternative. Everything is order at the bar. Take drinks with you, and place a number placard on your table for food delivery. You can keep open a tab as they physically hold your card, or pay as you go. We went right at opening (4pm) on a Saturday in August. There were storms on the horizon so all the table reservations were held inside. We were still able to get a nice table as walk ins. Actually it was a perfect table near the stage. Too bad we were way too early for the live music. There were a couple of large groups celebrating birthdays in the back room by the fireplace.

It has great ambiance - it feels like a wine tasting room should feel, if that makes sense. They proudly display their well earned awards and the lady who helped my mother and I was very knowledgable. I loved how they clearly had a sweet scale and weren't either pretentious nor poetic in their descriptions which gave a very clear expectation of the tasting profile. I ended up buying a bottle of their Forte Venango which was a fabulous port. I found it smooth, sweet but not super sweet, and very tasty! While I opted for the wine flight trying pinots and the malbec my mother opted for a wine slushy. She very much enjoyed her wine slushy as we discussed wine. I was sorry to hear that they no longer made ice wine due to lack of popularity. My mother said that they had the best ice wine. It was a fantastic stop on my wine tour!

They're are several wineries in the local area. We've been to all of them. Qe always have the best overall experience at this one. We usually take home a case since we live far away. They're family-friendly, have alcohol and non-alcohol desserts, as well as other plates, they now make beer too, and evenhave a golf driving range. The boozy ice cream was incredible. I've tried making boozy ice cream and I've never come close to this magic! I was very impressed with the wine selection and found them to be a good balance. Nothing was too fruity and this felt like a more traditional winery than I've experienced elsewhere in the region. While I enjoyed the wine my mother opted to stick with the ice cream. But it's worth trying it... when you google winery this is what was suggested. We walked one whole mile from the park... I suggest you drive since there are areas you are sharing the road with cyclists (no barrier from cars) and if you do not cross the 4 lane highway as soon as you walk up the hill. It becomes more difficult to cross it. It's a cute little place. Not much room to move around but our friends D's bought 6 bottle ( it should tell you something) we just got the Hot Kisses ice wine(a whopping $29.99)... it has a single Thai pepper in it... so if you like hot I would definitely visit this place....
