Came here for lunch today and to my surprise, all day is happy hour so half off appetizers! We ordered soft pretzels as the appetizer, the candied walnut apple salad and the chicken sandwich. My family I was with ordered several of the appetizers including buffalo chicken dip and the caprese salad. Everything was so good and I would order all of those items again! For my wine, I chose the sparkling Mia. It tasted SO good! We were there from around 1pm to 230ish on A Thursday. It was pretty empty and very family friendly. Can't wait to visit again! read more

Great everything!!!! We go for the food and wine, but their gifts are nice, and the service is great. If you come and the Loose Tooth Band is playing it is a party. Just a bunch of Dentists that can really play. The ambiance of their outdoor stage is enhance by the food, wine, and service. Came here recently on a wine tour and was very impressed. My in laws are big fans of this place, and now we are too. We came right when they opened, and the staff was very friendly and efficient with service. The only upsetting thing for me was their barrel aged cosmo was already sold out. We each shared a tasting, and enjoyed everything we trialed. The pizza we had was a special, with prosciutto and balsamic, which was very good. This is the description on the menu for buffalo chicken dip: Laurello's take on Buffalo Chicken dip/served in rustic bread loaf/side of tortilla chips, $16. What came out was the dip in a little container, looked like it was bought at a store and a side of tortilla chips, $17. I asked where the bread was and all she said was we don't serve it in bread anymore, but for some reason charge a dollar more without the bread. read more

A friend recommended this winery and it did not disappoint. The wines were some of the best in the Geneva area. Do not sleep on this place. Christopher II Meritage is the best wine around. We toured 6 vineyards in the area and this was our collective favorite! Laurello doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is a whole host of wonders. Where to begin? Since I went there for their ice wine festival, I'll start there. They have a habenero ice wine and it is spectacular. I have never tasted anything like it in my life. It is difficult to describe but it is basically ice wine with a spicy kick and a very smooth finish. I would recommend it to anyone regardless of what kind of wine you like. It is fantastic. They also have a lengthy selection of other delicious wines. Depending on your taste buds, you should be able to find something that you love. Their prices on wine are also very reasonable and they have three separate rooms where you can relax while enjoying your wine and even food if you like. They have a full menu of items that I didn't get to try but that looked very good. We went on a cold day and we loved the wood-burning fireplace. It was fantastic. We had such a nice time there and we definitely plan to come back here next time we are in the area! read more

I must admit I was a little underwhelmed by this place. I had lots of time to try different wines and really took my time but was not at all overly impressed by anything. Food is definitely served out of a bar kitchen. In child sizes. But I must say the service is what earned a two star review. I dealt with the out door bartender the entire evening and my goodness she was just down right rude at times. I always come back to give second chances but would suggest maybe correcting staff issues first. read more

This is one of my favorite wineries in the Geneva region and I've been here 5-6 times total over the last few years. We came on a Saturday around 5PM - the outside was packed but inside was completely empty. We decided to grab a table inside while deciding what drinks we wanted. We finally decided on some flights, but were told they don't serve flights after 5PM (at this point it was like 5:07). Bummer, as no one else was waiting to order and we were the only ones inside but I understand rules are rules (just wish they would've advertised this better as we would've ordered as soon as we came in before it turned 5 o'clock!) We always enjoy our wine here - it's super affordable and they have many different options. By the time we left a little after 6PM, people from outside were coming in to order as there were really long lines outside. I didn't order food this time so I can't comment on that, though we've gotten appetizers here before and they've been good. Overall I recommend coming early! Their parking lot and outdoor area fills up the later into the afternoon you get. Next time we'll swing by sooner. read more

We always stop here for a flight of wine when going through wine country. You get 4 different kinds and can choose between dry, sweet, and a combination. Every year we seem to like a different wine and take a bottle home. We had a few appetizers with our wine this year. Didn't really care for the artichoke dip, but the cheese platter was very good. October 2 Update: We still like the wine but this is the second time we visited where the flies in the winery are awful. They hang on your glasses and food. I need to quit coming here. read more

Laurello was our third stop on an afternoon of visiting wineries in the Geneva area. We were very happy that we stopped in. We tasted several different wines there and all that we tasted were quite good. We ended up buying a few bottle of a sweet white that were on sale at the insane price of $8/bottle. Very nice variety of wines. Did not eat while there, but took home some very lovely habanero cheese. It is made with the peppers removed from the habanero ice wine. The ice wine is the reason we went to this particular winery. Our daughter sent us there to get her another bottle because she loved it so. Very friendly staff. The wine here is pretty good. I've usually enjoyed it. They have a nice variety. There is plenty of seating indoors and out. It is a casual setting, nothing fancy here. The patio area is nicely done for the limited Ohio good weather enjoyment. The interior is a few large open rooms and basic. The live music is perfect for a more mature crowd, not too overbearing. They have a fairly decent menu. The food is served on disposable dishes. They do make wood fired pizzas out back. It's clean and there are plenty of staff on. Unfortunately the service can be a bit confusing at times with the communication of where to order what or what's available at different times. Also, the lady inside serving wine samples when we were there was preoccupied on one group and couldn't multitask whatsoever. We enjoy this winery overall. read more

A decent selection of varietals from dry to sweet. I am purely a dry wine drinker so cannot comment on the off dry to sweet wines. They have always done a very nice job on the Chardonnay and their reds are quite good. Summers outside are always nice and the grounds are excellent. They have an ample food menu, though it has sometimes been paired down during Covid. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but when crowded there can be a bit of a wait. Outdoor entertainment in the summer is always fun. read more

It's an honor to be the first to review this place. I've been going here a couple of times a year for over 5 years now. It's one of the wineries on my "circuit" in the Grand River Valley area. They have great wines for Ohio. The Cosmo and Rodavi are two of the best reds I've found in Ohio. As for whites, their Riesling is to my liking as is the Chardonnay (although a bit weak in flavors). I don't like sweet wines, but their Ice Wine - Sweet Genevieve is to die for. It tastes like candy and goes very good with fruit or ice cream (dump it on, if you dare, at $30 a bottle). They have a fireplace that burns on cold winter nights. With limited seating in range of the heat, get there early and don't leave together or you'll lose your seat. Entertainment is always about the same, a guitar player doing light-folksy tunes. The food is average. In summary, this is a great place to end an afternoon of driving in Ohio's wine country (unless of course you fancy a nice Italian meal with your wine, in which case, you'll want to go to Ferrante). read more

2nd visit to Laurello, I love their set up with multi rooms and large patio. Enjoyed their wines, had the chocolate cellar flight which was all red. The woman behind the counter seemed like she was done dealing with wine tasters. Very short with us, not friendly, just pouring the wine and get us off her counter fast. (Inside). We never really got to talk or ask about the wines, I think that's a huge miss on her part. We sat along the trees for some shade on the patio, and had huge sewer odors, if you keep your nose in your glass you can't smell it. I was disappointed for my second visit, we didn't stay long. 1st time I was on a tour, and the man that explained everything from Laurello was great! This is a very lovely winery. The owner stopped by several times to answer any questions. The service was great also. To start we ate outside. Their is plenty of room between tables. To start, you order your food and wine at the order station. They bring out the food once prepared. We started with their "SIMPLY MAD" HABANERO CHEESE PLATE" which came with marinated vegetables. My only disappointment is that I wish the portion of veggies was not larger. it also came with a package of crackers. They were delicious. The cheese is a Havarti cheese in which they infuse Habanero peppers that had been previously soaking in their ice wine and removed before being bottled. This combination of cheese and peppers is fantastic when complimented with their local Pinot Grigio. They offer two types of Pinot Grigio one with Oregon Grapes and one local grapes. Reason is that the polar vortex a few years back wiped out their grape vines. Our next course was their pizza. A simple cheese with mild banana peppers. The crust was excellent with a nice mix of sauce, cheese and peppers. Again, complimented the wine. They offer Military and First Responders discounts (10%). As I said the owner was very pleasant. She even gave us the recipe for the giardiniera (marinated veggies). We bought a second bottle to take home as well as another Cheese Tray. read more

Loved this place. Stop number 2 on the 7 winery tour. A brother sister team runs the wine tasting area. They let us try anything we wanted and even invited us to help bottle the next day! Unfortunately we were unable to perform even the tiniest of tasks, let alone bottle anything for consumer consumption. We even met the namesake of one of their wines. He was hilarious and provided much entertainment. It looked like a nice place to host a function, there were a couple larger side rooms for groups. The main room was quaint and had a couple fire places for ambiance. We bought a bottle of the "drag queen" wine and shared it, left there feeling pretty good. It was my favorite winery of the 7, although the rest are considerably fuzzy in my memory. read more

What a perfect place to spend a lazy Saturday evening! The staff took great care of us and answered any questions that we had. They had a large selection of wines available, and even though we were too late for their official tasting hours, they do still offer tastings (just not in a packaged deal!) I have to agree that the ice wine here is fantastic! The Rodavi was definitely one of my favorite local wines that I've tasted. They also had several sweet wine selections for the husband who isn't really a wine person - it really was a nice selection! I have always enjoyed my visits to Laurello Vineyards. Their wines are very delicious with a few exceptions. They have a great variety. The food is reasonably priced and quite good. My only issue is that their Chardonnay is unoaked! Too bad. Maybe they should make both kinds. read more
