This is my go to thrift shop to drop off donations because they make it so easy with their drive through! I would suggest calling them first to ask what they are accepting that day. I do shop here too! read more

Prices are outrageously high ! You can buy brand new stuff at the same price or even lower from local retail stores. This is not a thrift store, its a used item store at full price! read more

I donated items to this store and the guy who works taking in items immediately threw away a pottery barn chalk board I donated. He was rude. I've also gone to browse and appalled by their prices. You can go to Target, Home Goods, Amazon and buy new items for less. Super disappointing experience. I won't be back read more

St Vincent de Paul - St Vincent De Paul - Thrift Stores Near Me - Livermore, California

My Son and my Daughter-In-Law just came home from the hospital, giving birth to my grandchild. They went to the storage to pick up the supplies and they were stolen everything cleaned out. The first person I contacted was St. Vincent de Paul, and thank God he led me to the angels they came through and supplied us with diapers and bottles that we needed very badly. I give all the glory to God and thank you, St. Vincent Paul you forever in my prayers.i read more

The prices are ridiculous. I've been here a handful of times over the last few years and seen one item I've wanted that hasn't moved the entire time, the thing is it's just not worth the price. I asked if I could haggle on the price since it's been unsold for at least 2 years and the front desk said there's nothing they can do and there's no one else I could talk to, the owner seems to be completely disconnected from his establishment read more

Someone needs to tell these people that this is a thrift store and they received these items as donations. Everything is priced way too high. It's no wonder their shelves are full of inventory. Do not donate or purchase from this place. I'm not a fan of Goodwills business practices but at least they don't gouge their customers. read more

Very kind and helpful in loading donations. Really appreciate their help! Shop is very clean and sales staff is very attentive.

WOW!! I have not been to this location in years and I was extremely impressed!!! It was so clean and organized!! They have a lot of good brands like lululemon, true religion, etc... I will definitely be coming here More often read more

I arrived at the store at 5:42 on a Tuesday, 18 min before closing, and they were closed already. Dark inside, no one in sight, like they had been closed for a bit. Should honor its published hours of business. Wasted time driving here for a quick look at their inventory. read more

Absolute trash thrift store. Whoever is pricing here has LOST their mind, and everything on the shelves or racks is outdated by 15 years, and not in a good way. read more

Great clean thrift shop, lots of options priced a little high but have bought some gems from here.

For a thrift store, their prices are more expensive than your average box store. It was ridiculous read more

Shelves are always bare. Nothing to find here. Not the store to find treasures. Mostly clothes.

Extremely expensive I mean come on Livermore St. Vincent de Paul you're a thrift store... How are you gonna price something more expensive than the actual stores. I'm not talking about one thing. I'm talking about everything is insanely overpriced in the store. Good luck with your business model. definitely a hard pass for me. read more

The prices are nuts. They charge around $10 and up for clothes that they got for free. We checked out their media and their movies were even pricey. If they're Disney movies they're even more expensive, which there wasn't a sign that said that at all. I wanted to love this place, but it was a hard no. The manager was rude also. read more

so i came and bought some shoes, $20 which is already steep considering this is a thrift store, but i liked them so i bought. the same day i got them i wore them and the whole sole came off. went to return next day and they said no returns only exchange. complete waste of $20 bc their store is so expensive and i don't see anything i like. even when i bought them i noticed a chip on the shoe, asked the girl if she would discount them bc the damage and she said i don't even know why they put these on the floor. worst thrift store they insanely overprice everything read more

My wife and I swing by this thrift store any time we are near. It's sells a bit of everything and unlike some of the much bigger competitors (savers, goodwill) this one feels much cleaner and less hectic inside. I usually browse the books, comics, vhs, and dvds. The selection is pretty great and it's pretty cheap ($1-$2). They also sell records -- the good ones are up front and cost more and the cheap ones in the back ... well I'm not so sure how worthwhile it would be to dig through them. I do feel they price the furniture too high as well as some other odds and ends but that's okay -- I come for the media. read more

The prices are crazy high. There was no sign for how much bathing suits cost. Guy told me $10 but cashier said they were $16. She could not care less and the guy disappeared into the staff area. Unbelievable. read more

Pros Lots of amazing clothes in great condition Really good selection of shoes I like how the clothes were organized by style and color (wish they were organized by size also) I got some really cute shorts in brand new condition for $5 was practically a steal! Cons Pricing, good for some items but expensive for other items. For example, some dresses from Target, Rue21, and Forever 21 where the same price they would cost new at those places For other designer items prices were ok but not great Furniture selection sub par Jewelry was overpriced I would stop by and check out this place again but I wish some of the dresses (non brand) were priced more fairly since I can purchase new dresses on discounted places or sites (DDs, Ross) for similar price Overall good experience read more

Hours say 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday. Showed up at 4:30 on Saturday and it was closed. Would love to know the updated store hours please

For a thrift store, there is nothing thrifty about it. Ridiculous prices for items that were donated to them. Might as well pay retail prices and buy whatever item you want new. I don't understand how this place is still in business ; they've had the exact same items on the floor for years. It is well organized and clean, I appreciate that. read more

Stopped here for a day of thrifting, and I was surprised how much they were charging for many of the items. The store is very clean and organized. read more

This review is solely based off of my drop off experience... We normally do donations to Goodwill but they're maxed on space so we tried St. Vincent instead. Their donation system is great. Pulled into the parking lot, signs are clear on what to do & someone was waiting to help me unload my stuff. Goodwill has never been that helpful or that organized. I appreciated St. Vincent's thoughtful execution; it made the process seamless. read more

Large, pleasant thrift with lots of furniture, a good housewares section, and extensive clothing selection. Clothing is organized by color, not size, and the racks are jammed full, so finding treasures that fit requires patience and stamina. read more

I don't know how this place stays in business. They've had the same stuff in there for years. Prices are through the roof. The difference between them and GoodWill actually Prices to sell. ST Vincent DePaul Prices to sit. Also when you go to price something and scan it on ebay. Check what the idem actually sold for not what someone is asking cause selling price and asking price is to completely different things. read more

Organized store. Every department was clean and organized. Aisles had enough space and were wide enough to maneuver. Prices were OK kind of in the middle on most items. Staff was indifferent not welcoming by any means. read more

Victor, the manager, keeps the store nice and tidy. I like how the clothing is organized by style, color and size. I have found a lot of gems here over the year from stores including Zara, H&M and Mango. I also get lucky every once in a while and find vintage accessories. In my opinion, St. Vincent de Paul has the best shoe selection of all Tri-Valley thrift stores. My only request is that they be less picky with choosing items for the store so that it can be fully stocked at all times. I only go in about once a month or so to make sure I see new merchandise. Overall, this is a gem of a thrift store. read more

Great thrift store! The media section was a sight to see. Great to see people still respect vhs tapes and records! Highly recommend this thrift store! read more

So clean and organized. Very nice staff. Easy to make donations and park. Lovely place. Well done

I cannot edit my previous review so I thought I would post a new one. I love shopping thrift store because it is more sustainable to reuse rather than purchase new whenever I can. They have some good furniture options and they provide help loading into your vehicle. There aren't a lot of thrift stores in the area and I hope they are able to stick around in spite of the pandemic. read more

Pretty good selection of items. The pricing is Ridiculously high for a thrift store!!!! Prices are marked as if the items are brand new! If I wanted to pay those high prices, I would shop at Home Goods for NON used items. read more

After our yard sale we piled everything back up into boxes and loaded in the the truck and hauled it all down here. Don't look back just take it and donate it. You will literally feel your house get lighter. They are so awesome down here. The guys help you unload everything. I saw a bin for electronics, for furniture and then big containers they could load with whatever else. Unfortunately they don't take toys or Baby bathtubs either. Something about sanitary issues. Which my mom and I are still not understanding. Shes told me that you have to hide any toys you might have inside other things so the guys wont find them. Their furniture is all 50% on Saturday and from what my mom says most of her apartment was furnished by the sales they have here. The Saturday we came I was way to tired to take a look, but took a mental note. I was just happy to unload things that I didnt need or want anymore. This is was the only dontation station in the area for a long time. Being open Saturday and having very helpful staff make it one of the best. read more

St. Vincent De Paul is a bit disorganized but they had signs posted for books: -hardcover/best sellers (2) -other hardcover (1.5) -papaerbacks .75 everyday had a "specials" day - sunday was 25% off on books buys: -the price of loyalty (2-.50=1.5) -thearsus (.75- -self matters companion =1.5 cashing out: -during the calculating of the book price, i got disorientated and questioned the cashier's math. -cashier asked me to raise hands over my head and wave them, i did -she asked me to repeat a complete sentence. i did -she told me this was a test to determine if i had a stroke. -i passed the test, proving i didn't have a stroke -i explained it was probably some msg in the food i just ate, just hit me all at once. read more

I LOVED how much furniture they had! I wish I lived near by and had a uhaul! The people working were nice and helpful. I purchased and $8 Addidas jacket/sweater and a few $1 tshirts and a pair of toddler girl shoes. I would visit again if I'm in town. read more

I just tried to stop by to drop off a box of books for donation and the young attendant basically yelled at me to read the signs and was extremely rude. I told him that I changed my mind and took off. I will find a different charity to donate to and don't need to be treated like that when I'm trying to do good. read more

I must say I don't like to give one-star reviews, but this place isn't very good as far as thrift stores go. I like a good deal on CD's and books more than the next person, but a lot of their other merchandise seems over-priced and very, very used. Although I'm aware they mainly rely on donations, St. Vincent De Paul's needs to reevaluate their pricing scheme. I can't possibly imagine who would buy a faded tanktop from Target (2007, since I bought the exact same one from Target when it was new for the EXACT same price) for $7. The clothes are in horrendous condition and are very dated in appearance. Not my go-to for stores, but I will definitely consider coming back if I need a new read, or some new music. read more

Great thrift store and donation center. Very good hours for drop off and friendly staff. The drive-through is very convenient and you're able to pull up right next to the trailers. read more

The woman's clothes selection is fantastic and for the most part very well priced. There are a few items here and there that are overpriced, as is the case with any thrift store. But it is priced by item type, so you can get a steal of a deal. All summer dresses are $9 for example - no matter the label. So you can get great items by designer brands for cheap. The quality of items is very good too. It is very well organized. The staff is also very friendly. Had a lovely time visiting, and got some great items, as did my friend. read more

dropped off 6 bags of clothing plus various other items. The attendant accepting the drop off was very helpful and very cordial!
