I love stopping by Tri-Valley Haven. Here are the Pros: -Great service. The staff is ALWAYS really kind. -Great prices. I buy books and movies; DVDs are 50¢ and books are about $1. -Excellent location. The store is right downtown just about two blocks from First Street. -Bonus: clean and organized. I've donated to Tri-Valley Haven several times including items going to the women receiving services and to the thrift store. Their donation gate is located around the corner on Railroad Ave (currently accepting donations on Tues and Thurs from 11am-1pm). The thrift store entrance is on N L St (currently open Tues-Sat 10am-5pm). Their website has a crisis line and more information about how to receive services at a different location. They provide a lot of important services in the area for counseling, homeless and family support, domestic violence, and sexual assault. All of the proceeds at their thrift store help fund these programs. Their clients also get vouchers to shop for free at the store. I appreciate that their homepage also has a statement condemning the ongoing anti-Asian hate crimes and that they are working to end all forms of hate and violence. The thrift store itself is clean and well organized. Prices are clearly listed above racks or on the item itself. They have clothes, shoes, accessories, home goods, baby and children's items, and more. They even have a small maternity section. As of today, they are currently having a Back to School sale until at least Saturday (8/21/21). Kid's items are $1 each. read more

Dropped off a load of nice used clothing. I was so happy to see the clear bright well organized store. The friendly staff let me know that it was Senior Discount day, I think it was 25% off everything in the store. I took a look around and found a lovely prelit artificial Christmas Tree and some gorgeous large red glitter stars. What a fabulous thrift store. This is what other thrift shops should try to be like. They place is set up like a boutique BUT NOT the prices. Ladies had great customer service skills. Friendly. Selection of item is poor and the service by far the worst of ever experienced. Sadly we experienced a terrible customer service experience here with my elderly mother. This place used to be a nice place with kind welcoming people. Today my mother walked out in tears as she was treated in humane manner. read more

Like a little boutique! Ladies, men's and children's clothing, plus kitchenware and lots of books and jigsaw puzzles. Very clean and organized. Every week is a different half price sale on something! I love this place! It's so hard to stay away cause they have so many great things for cheap. Cheaper than the other thrift stores. The only thing is, it's sometimes hard to donate stuff cause they have limited hours. They are open 7 days a week to shop though. That's awesome. The prices are cheap but the selection is very low-end and clothing looks worn. I normally go to the higher end thrift stores and would not go back to this one. It benefits a great cause though, so can't complain too much about that. read more

It's very clean and organized in here. Prices seemed fair, too. There is a few reserved spots for thrift shoppers; otherwise, a newly opened municipal parking lot across the street makes shopping here a lot easier. And if you have a lot of paper bags at home, consider donating to this thrift shop instead of throwing them out -- they can use them for customers! read more

My mom loves to go thrifting. I met her in Livermore and we checked out this place. Super impressed for a thrift store. All of the employees were nice and friendly. Cashiers were both rude when we walked up to pay. We said hi and young guy just stared at us. Young lady came and was just about the same. Rang our stuff up and were mumbling everything. Thought they had asked if we wanted a receipt and when I said no they both basically yelled saying "sign the receipt!" I knew we should've just drove pass this store read more

I use to visit this store very often pre-pandemic. It has always been very clean and well organized and amazing prices and daily/weekly additional discounts. They had been closed for quiet awhile after covid and then only open limited days/hours so it's been awhile since I've been able to go. Finally made it out a couple days ago and was so disappointed! While it's still extremely organized and clean, the prices have sky rocketed! Sadly, everyone has jumped on the inflation wagon, this "thrift" store included. Dresses $15-30, used jean skirts $15 (A target brand skirt that I could buy for same price brand new at target), used shoes $15+. There was even old, used small terra cotta pots for $10-12!! Can buy brand new at Michaels for under $5! Sadly, it's no longer worth my time, gas or money to shop here anymore. I don't see this place lasting long now. I write a blog about thrift stores, so I go to a lot of thrift stores. This one is clean and well organized and the staff is wonderful. On this past trip I found a beaitiful velvet Cabi coat for $8. I am so happy with it. I also bought a high end yogurt maker for $20 because I love to make my own yogurt. I think Robyn 's description of BVYR TS is a good one. The place feels more like a yard sale than a thrift store. It is not squeaky clean or super organized but it is clean enough and organized well enough that you can find what you are looking for or better yet find what you didn't know you always needed. Not a huge selection of any section but like all thrift stores you may or may not "strike gold" at every visit. I did find a small/compact ironing board with a cover and legs for only $2. Could have found more stuff if the rest of the Rinky family weren't waiting in the car. Nice staff very welcoming. read more

This is one of my favorite thrift stores in the bay area. it's a pretty good sized store and there is SO much stuff everywhere. There's so much stuff it can be hard to look through but if you have an afternoon to kill and you love thrift store shopping this is a good place to do so. I found a ton of vintage children's books, some old movies and a Star Wars Christmas album that sells for $30 used on Amazon! My entire bag of goodies (3 movies, the cd and about 10 books) was a whopping $2.50! read more

A great place to find cheap furniture, though the stock varies. You have to check back every week or so. I go there for pieces to upcycle. Less selection on clothing than many thrift stores, but what they do have is generally in good condition. Decent shoe inventory. Larger than usual stock of games, for cheap. Prices overall are a little higher than I'm usually looking for, but still not bad. If you're a thrifter, it's worth checking out! read more

Smaller store, but well kept. They have a lot of clothing racks in front and a few household items in the back. Whatever large furniture is in the very back. The ladies who work there were nice and friendly. I'll be back if I'm in the area. They have a small parking lot. read more
