Fast turnaround, but absolutely no customer service…read more The good thing about ZIPS Cleaners is their blazing speed. If you need dry cleaning done quickly, they are incredibly efficient and the turnaround time is fast. Unfortunately, the customer service is nonexistent. On my first visit, I walked up to the counter with my receipt in hand and the employee just stared at the screen without saying a word. No greeting, no "can I help you," nothing. After standing there awkwardly for a while, I finally asked if he needed my receipt. Only then did he ask for my phone number to look up my order. It was a pretty ridiculous interaction. Another downside is parking. The lot gets very busy and congested, especially during rush hour, which makes getting in and out more frustrating than it needs to be. Basically, if you're looking for fast dry cleaning and don't care about service, ZIPS gets the job done. Just avoid peak hours if at all possible.

I would strongly caution anyone against relying on ZIPS Cleaners in Brandywine if you actually need…read moreyour clothing when promised. For the past several weeks, this location has repeatedly failed to complete my dry cleaning by the stated pickup time. This is no longer an occasional delay. It is a pattern. What makes it particularly frustrating is that ZIPS actively advertises "In by 9, Out by 5" same-day service. Yet I currently have multiple orders from the same visit, and while some are marked ready, others are inexplicably still "NOT READY." Customers should not have to make multiple trips to retrieve pieces that were dropped off together. If you cannot consistently provide same-day service, stop advertising it. If an order will be delayed, communicate that proactively. Neither is complicated. Reliability is a basic expectation of a dry cleaner. At this location, it has become the exception rather than the rule. I would strongly caution anyone against relying on ZIPS Cleaners in Brandywine if you actually need your clothing when promised. Immediately took them back and they redid the hem-no charge. Later in the week wore my other two pants, and once again on the first wear the hem came undone. Again the pants were redone no charge, however upon pickup I was told I would need to pay to get them done again (because why would I not just take them to another place if I crossed that bridge). When testing out the pants again, I slid my leg into the pants so slow not to touch the bottom area. Took the pants off after wearing them throughout the day, and shocker, this is the outcome...

I was highly recommended to bring larger items here, like my comforter, and based on my first…read moreexperience, I understood why. The initial service was impeccable, which is why I decided to return. I'm giving two stars out of grace for that first visit. Unfortunately, my second experience with the exact same item was disappointing. When I picked up my comforter, I noticed small specks of lint scattered across it. I brought this to the manager's attention, and while she insisted she personally handled my item and attempted to remove the lint, that explanation didn't align with the final result. If the issue couldn't be resolved, I should have been notified before leaving--not after I had to point it out myself. I did receive a refund, which I appreciate, but I genuinely wanted this to work. It seemed like the manager had already made up her mind that nothing further could be done, and there was no real effort to try to resolve the issue. At that point, I simply asked for my item back so I could take it somewhere that handles items with more care and attention to detail. It honestly made me question whether my comforter was mixed in with others during the process, especially since I take great care in maintaining it, including regularly steam disinfecting it at home. What was also frustrating was that instead of focusing on my concern, the manager began explaining how other customers' items can come in, as if I was expected to sympathize. My only concern was the condition of my item. Based on this experience, I would recommend keeping it simple here--stick to everyday dry cleaning. I would not suggest bringing larger bedding items like comforters or duvet covers, as the quality and attention to detail may not be consistent.

I've been using this laundromat for quite a while, and it has consistently been a great experience…read more The prices are very reasonable, and although the machines are older, they work reliably and get the job done. The biggest thing for me is the cleanliness. The facility is always clean and well maintained, and I never leave feeling like my clothes were washed in a dirty environment. Parking can be a little tight since it's located right off a busy road, but that's a small trade-off for the value and quality. My only suggestion would be to upgrade to newer machines in the future.
