Pizza, meatball and Bacon, Egg and Cheese

Excellent service. 2 are perfect for a meal. The pizza was our favorite. Next time we want to give the desserts a try.

Very tasty kolache! A great variety to choose from! Not super busy!!!! Loved our visit here!!!!

Kolache time!

I honestly had no idea that St Louis was a kolache city. Coming from Texas, kolaches are everywhere. So of course while in St Louis, I had to indulge. This spot kept coming up on folks' list of best kolaches...and I can't say no to a BEC anything. In addition to the BEC kolache, we also tried the ham, egg, cheese, & jalapeño kolache and bacon Mac & cheese kolache. The bread was delicious. It was exactly the soft, pillowy brioche level dough. However, the filling was a little subpar for me. I barely tasted any of the cheese which made the kolaches a little dry. It also lacked any discernible flavor so I had to turn to hot sauce for a lil kick. If I lived in St Louis, I'd likely eat here again if I needed a quick breakfast, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Crab Rangoon Kolache

I moved here in October from California and did not have any experience with Kolaches previously. I was excited to try St Louis Kolache as it is a short walk from my house. These Kolaches do not disappoint! Today I enjoyed the Egg & Cheese and newly added Crab Rangoon. Both were incredibly fluffy - the bread is so light and delicious. Both fillings were perfectly warm with a nice balance of egg & cheese and crab & cream cheese to bread ratio. Previously I have loved the Jalapeño Popper and Ham, Egg, Cheese & Jalapeño kolaches but I do think the Crab Rangoon has moved into my top favorites! The service is friendly & quick if you walk in or order online! Definitely recommend

Buffalo Mac and cheese

We always make sure to stop in at least once anytime we are visiting. Can't get these tasty treats anywhere in Michigan. Absolutely love them: it's like getting as many mini meals as you want in one sitting. I got the jalapeño popper (really great if you like a hot kick), pizza (yummy), Buffalo chicken (great flavor slightly spicy), sloppy Joe (delicious flavor), brisket and crab Rangoon that are all must have's in my opinion. Only thing is that most people probably can't eat as many as I can so you'll probably want to pick your top 3. Dessert ones are tasty too but I prefer filling up on the lunch and specialty ones. Always prepared perfectly and you get $5 of your first app order which we did this time and it was super simple to set up! (Which is basically 2 for free). Definitely a must try for a tasty and quick lunch!

I love this place. This staff is friendly and helpful. And look at the amount of salmon in this kolache!!! Seriously, they are all extremely flavorful, priced right and filling. When I go in here I always buy a dozen to share with my office. This is easily the treat the goes the fastest in the breakroom.

The flavors are plentiful, the creativity is unmatched, and the quality of the ingredients is truly unrivaled. I honestly don't think there's a better cheesecake shop that I've encountered anywhere in my travels. The staff is generally very helpful and welcoming, with Lindsy in particular being a consistent standout at the front register over the years. I've been a loyal customer for a long time and have easily spent thousands of dollars on Hank's cheesecakes for both personal celebrations and professional events. The product itself has always been worth every penny. That said, I was disappointed to learn of the new policy charging $2 simply to slice a cheesecake. When purchasing a $25-$400+ cheesecake, an additional fee for a task that takes roughly 20 seconds feels unnecessary and, frankly, a bit off-putting. While I understand that rising costs are impacting businesses everywhere, this type of nickel-and-diming can feel discouraging--especially to long-standing, repeat customers who have consistently supported the business. Hank's Cheesecake remains exceptional, and the product is second to none. I hope management reconsiders this policy, as it slightly detracts from what has otherwise been an outstanding customer experience for many loyal patrons.

They made a fresh pot of coffee and even went the extra mile to go get ice as we came in later in the evening and they had run out. I did tell them they didn't need to, but he insisted which I thought was outstanding. This quaint little café is so charming inside. It allows people to gather eat a sweet treat and have general conversation conversations where you can actually hear one another. They do have outside seating too. The chocolate cake was soft and as a non-cake lover I found this very delicious. Definitely worthy of sharing. I ordered a quiche to go. I had mentioned they didn't have the spinach feta pastry that I had before. The gentleman stated we have some in the back, I'm happy to get you one. So I ordered that too. And although this was only our second time coming, the fact that they'll make a fresh pot of coffee in my opinion is key to a great café. I will keep this in my rotation of places to go.

I smile, he is stone faced. I go to open the door as he walks away. The door is locked. I try a few more times, thinking maybe it's me. I look around at the hours again, but next to it is a "we're open" sign. I try maybe 3-4 times more before I give up. I walk to the window and he's sitting at a table toward the back, looking at me. We just look at each other, then he looks at his computer. I turn toward my car, then turn back around and he's still looking at me! I sat in my car, confused. He never looked back up from his computer, so I left. Highly disappointed.

They do have a note that tapioca is not ready until 1030 AM each day. I ordered passionfruit with lychee with 50% less sugar with light ice. It was just right in sweetness. We started with the Korean fried cauliflower and it was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, and the gochujang sauce with the mayo was sweet and sticky in the best way. Since it's a butchery, we had to try the steaks. I ordered the 4oz filet Oscar style. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the crab was fresh, and the homemade hollandaise really pulled it all together. My husband had the ribeye. It was a flavorful cut, a little fatty (as ribeye tends to be), but exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The steaks come with a twice-baked potato and vegetable (or you can swap for different vegetables). The potato was flavorful but fairly dense. We also did the bread service - it was good, but felt a bit pricey for the portion. We ended with the flourless chocolate torte, which was very rich and the perfect way to finish the meal - especially on Valentine's Day. Overall, the food was good and the menu is solid. The quality was there, but the portions, bread service and sides didn't fully meet expectations. That said, it was still a lovely experience and a great date-night spot.
