Found a little road side ice cream stand. Didn't understand a lot of the flavors with no description. There's a walk up window or you can eat inside. We opted for inside since it was hot. What a little gem this place is! Ginny's boasts abundant outside seating and modest inside seating with maybe a dozen tables in close quarters. They are staffed with mostly kids, but their customer service and food preparation is beyond reproach. Ginny's makes a delicious bacon cheeseburger reminiscent of Five Guys and their shoestring french fries reminds one of McDonalds famous potato treat. Ginny's prices are very good and they offer kids meals. We particularly appreciate, thanks to their kid's pricing, that our 7 member family can be treated to Ginny's custards for about $20.00- which is pretty much unheard of these days. Oh my YUM! Stopped by here with a friend today. She had heard good things about this little place. My friend ordered a cheeseburger and she said it was really tasty and fresh. I ordered a small twist chocolate/vanilla ice cream cone. Let me tell you, this was the best soft serve ice cream cone I have ever had! It was so rich and so creamy. I ate it real slow to enjoy every bit of it. I definitely wished that I had ordered the large and almost went up there and got a second one, but I stopped myself. I am not in this area very often, hardly ever. But I think I might be going out of my way in the future to come by here to get another ice cream cone. The service was good and workers were friendly. I first found this place when as a teenager i moved to Imperial. Some of the locals raved about it so i knew i had to check it out. First, the custard is very good. I am a great fan of their dipped cones. They do have a wide variety of different types of selections on what you can get from conceretes, to sundae's to just cones. This is a combination Diner / Frozen Custard place with seating inside and out. Burgers are pretty good grill burgers and remind of Carl's Drive-In in Brentwood, MO. They have a Double Cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and a drink, but I learned quickly this is a large sandwich and ordered a single cheeseburger on my 2nd visit with fried mushrooms this time. Be weary of many grand parents bring their grandkids here, because you'll be hearing a lot of screaming heads. Thankfully, they had an outdoor space to eat at right out front. Navigate thing about his kind of places r that the food is going to come out right off the grill and right out of the fryer. Some of the not so cool things though are when the person who's at the grill smashed your patties down two words barely stuck together taco meat like and all the juices are drenched out of it. So then the burger becomes dry and you must rely on a whole bunch of condiments like I did. The fries are hot and kind of shoe string like. The chocolate shake was good. Maybe my tongue wasn't a sing anything right today, but maybe it was lagging with chocolate flavor. Soon as I walked in I noticed this was a very clean place. This is a hamburger / shake place. I found the food to be pretty good. The chocolate shake did throw me off a bit. They serve custard here and well it didn't taste even close to any of the many custard places in Saint Louis. It quite literaly tasted like a Wendy's Frosty just not as thick.
