You grab a number and enter that number in the kiosk. They bring the food to the table without saying anything. They guy didn't asked if we needed anything else. My friend and I met up here last week for dinner since we were already in the area getting Pedi's and this was close by. The location is easy to get to from Manchester rd. and they offer plenty of parking spots for customers. When we got inside, they have 4 kiosks for ordering so you can review the menu and then order when you are ready. During the ordering process, you can choose if it's a dine in or take out order and then you grab a number and type that in so they can find you when the order is ready. Of course, before paying, they have an option for tipping so do with that what you will. After paying for my order the kiosk told me that when my order was ready, a team member would bring my order out to me so I went and sat down at a table after picking up napkins, a fork and some ketchup. They also have a self serve drink station with a tap just for water, but the cups are really small so I recommend bringing a reusable water bottle if you have one. After a few minutes, I received a text to let me know my order was ready and that it would be brought out shortly. After about 10 minutes, my friend already had her order delivered to the table, but mine was still missing. I decided to go up to the counter to ask about it. The workers were busy, but one of them did ask me what I needed and I let them know my order was missing. They could not find the order and so I had to show them my receipt (thankfully, I had it emailed to me because you could always decline a receipt). I showed my receipt and the text that my order was ready and so they told me they would start a new order for me since they didn't have mine. All I ordered was a coffee milkshake and some cheese fries so it shouldn't take too long. I just stood there awkwardly waiting for my drink/food and after about 5ish minutes, they were handing it to me. I was shocked that they didn't apologize or acknowledge their mistake and they did not even say anything to me either when handing me my tray. The customer service could use some work in my opinion. The cheese fries were good as usual and since I was trying the coffee shake for the first time, I was not overly impressed, but it did taste fine. However, there are other places with much better coffee shakes so I probably won't order it again. I am not someone who frequents Shake Shack so I don't know when or if I will be back. read more

Came in to grab a bite to eat after a minor surgery, and the meal hit the spot! Although, I do believe it's a bit overpriced, the quality of the meal is very much appreciated at that price range. I got a classic ShackBurger, bacon cheese fries, and a chocolate and vanilla shake. I was able to redeem a free regular fries reward by using my phone number at checkout. This is true upper-end fast food. It is definitely on the more pricey side however the quality of food is far better than any other fast food burger restaurant. I had a single bacon avocado burger with Mac & Cheese and a large strawberry lemonade and that came out to about 20 bucks. Food came out in about 10 minutes and the person who delivered our food was very friendly and checked in with us later on to see how we were doing. Everything tastes very high quality. I love how you can order on the screen and then get your food brought to you within minutes. Went for a late lunch on a Wed. Dining area had just a couple tables taken. We ordered at the kiosk (no staff in the front counter anyway). Son home from college got cheeseburger, fries, and cookies & cream shake. I got chicken sandwich. We both customized and our orders were accurate -- that's a benefit of kiosk/ app/ web ordering vs with a staff. We helped ourselves to water & napkins near the condiments. Shake was a bit difficult to drink with a regular width drink straw -- needs a wider straw. I liked that the fries were NOT too salty. Burger & chicken sandwich were small for the price, but son has been wanting their burger since he ate one in the airport in NY, and he's going back to college this weekend. I've been to shake shack before but a different location. This is my first time here since it's opening. I'm not big on burgers so I'm very particular when I decide to eat them. I decided to try because I was offered a free burger so why not. When I arrived during lunch hour, it was steady. They have a nice size parking lot with plenty of parking. I used to mobile app to make my order. The app itself was horrible so I used the website to place my order which was much better and faster. They should work on fixing their app. The food was ready once I arrive and only took about 5 minutes. They have kiosk to place your order and pay bit i think you can order with a person as well. I didn't see anyone at the counter because no one greeted me as I grabbed my order but not a big deal at all. I like the butter bun. It gives the burger more flavor. I had to pull the lettuce off because it was too wilted. Three fires were really crispy and had a good crunch. The cheese was good too. Maybe the fries could use a dash of salt. The food was really heavy and filling. I only ate half of everything. My son is a huge fan of this place and their shake and I see why. Shake shack makes a darned good burger! Hard to believe it was my first experience. This is a fairly new building with a very modern look. You order at the kiosk for dine in or takeout, and they will deliver food to the table for dine in. Since I ordered a beer, someone had to come over and verify that I was old enough. Since it takes it takes a few minutes to get someone's attention, the next time I will skip the beer. What I ordered: - Smokey Classic BBQ burger (4/5): Good quality beef. Crispy onions + crispy pickle + cheesy and saucy topped beef + nicely toasted bun = excellent texture. Very good. - Cheesy fries (3/5): A bit sparse on the cheese sauce. Also didn't care for the thickness of the sauce - seemed a bit gloppy. Fries were decent, but I am fond of crinkle cut. Customer service reached out to me and convinced me to give them another try. So, I tried to go a little earlier than last time, to beat the lunch rush, and got there around 11:00am. I ordered in the app, which was an easier experience than being crowded at the kiosk station. I went with the shroom burger and cheese fries this time. The emails I received indicated I would receive a text message when my order was ready, which I did not (same as last time). BUT since it was less crowded, I could grab a table and keep an eye on the shelf comfortably and see when my order was up, and it didn't take long at all. The tables were all clean, as was the condiment station. The mushroom burger was really good, and the cheese fries had the perfect ratio of fry to cheese (but I would've appreciated a little seasoning in the cheese sauce, it was a bit bland) and the fries were actually crispy! (Pet peeve of mine and why I never eat at Five Guys, because I can't stand a floppy fry.) Located off of Manchester in Des Peres Mo. Private Parking Lot , I'm confused parking lot is large but still very congested and busy. This location is VERY busy and VERY kid friendly. Dine in is available. Plenty of seating indoor and outside. I opted to grab a small table in the back to people watch and get out the way. Hustle and bustle . Area was clean , and staff was available for housekeeping purposes which was a plus. I ordered a simple cheeseburger, cheese fry and sunset lemonade. 18 bucks is pricey but it was good . Came in with my 5 & 7 year old niece and nephew to try to occupy them for a short time (and so we didn't have to eat in my car and make an inevitable mess!) easy ordering prices. We could order from the digital tablets which is nice because the kids could see a picture of what they wanted. They also liked it because they could easily order themselves! I've heard stories of how amazing this place is, but didn't have that experience. We got the Korean bbq fries, the stacked burger and a 50/50 tea and lemonade. You have to order on a kiosk and then take your number to a table. It was pretty busy but we got lucky and grabbed a table that opened up as we finished ordering. The food came out quickly and was fine. Nothing amazing, but fine. The fries reminded me of the ones from middle school, but with a seasoning sprinkled on them. It didn't seem to add much, as the taste of the seasoning as overwhelmed but the dip that came with them. Umami? Mushroom with soy sauce? We still aren't sure, but it was ok. The burger was a let down for almost $12. The fried mushroom is stuffed with cheese, and then put on a regular burger. But oddly, nothing really had much flavor. Just hot oil taste. The tea/lemonade was the best part of our visit, but having to go ask someone for a refill felt awkward. The store seemed fairly clean, and it is clearly laid out to get you in and out as fast as possible. Glad I tried it, but will skip a return visit. Would go to 5 guys instead. read more

I rarely enjoy lunch during the work week, and today I decided to treat myself to one of the newer establishments near my office. The entryway and parking is pretty spacious, after entering and reviewing the menu, I was greeted and helped by a manager on duty with suggestions on what was good. I ordered the classic double cheeseburger, a single mound city burger, truffle fries, and a chocolate shake. The dining room was modern looking and spacious, with a lot of natural lighting. The staff brought my food to my table swiftly after ordering. The double cheeseburger was nothing short of excellent, a fantastic smash burger patty, and perfectly melted cheese, provided a really comforting feeling. The mound city burger was something different, with it's provel cheese, not quite the classic of the double cheeseburger, but I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a classic, with just a bit of unique flair. The truffle fry sauce, was excellent, tangy and umami, however the fries being crinkle cut definitely took away from the experience, although crinkle cut is not my cup of tea. The chocolate shake was another delicious classic. While the price is a little steep for some of the items, the atmosphere and fantastic burger experience here more than made up for it. If you're looking for a good smash burger, go for the double cheeseburger and if you're feeling a little STL pride, try the Mound City Burger, you won't regret it, and maybe skip the fries and save a buck. read more

Been here twice in less than a month. Both times, the food tasted great and service was good. I do have a problem though. Both times, they put on lettuce that was undersized. First time 3/20/25, the manager said the lettuce is supposed to be the size of your palm. It wasn't. Today, it didn't even cover half the bun. The buns are not large. Shake Shack sells a premium product at a premium price. But come on! Don't get cheap on the lettuce. My husband has FTD (just like Bruce Willis). His favorite place to go to is Shake Shack. The Des Peres location has become our favorite because of the staff. The food is consistently great, but the staff is always so kind & patient with my husband, even when his behavior is a bit challenging. Tonight we threw him a small birthday party for him at The Shake Shack & I am humbled by how awesome the staff was - they made everything easy & enjoyable, they even gave him a handwritten card signed by the staff. After hearing about Shake Shack we were keen to try it. However, finding it was interesting--more signage along both sides of Manchester would be helpful. Yet, once there the parking lot was easy to maneuver. Inside was modern and clean. Ordering was done on our own at a kiosk so it was a bit confusing because I don't work there. But we got our burgers and they were absolutely delicious. My spouse thought the lemonade was only ok. I really liked my root beer float. The fries were adequately salted, crispy outside, and soft inside -- just like we prefer. I have to add that the pickles on my burger were crispy, I like that. It was the soft opening, so the service and food were impeccable and that may be because it was just opening, but the few times I have went to other Shake Shack locations the food and service have been great. The location was clean and pristine since it was a new opening, but once again, the few times I visit other locations, they have also been very clean. Avoid at all costs! When this location first opened up we liked it. Food looked and tasted pretty good. However, we have given them two chances to make things better and they've failed miserably. The food looks like it was thrown together by someone with terrible vision. They disregarded our requests to not have mayo on our sandwiches. It was way too greasy and slimy. The buns were soggy wet. I stopped into this new Shake Shack on a frigid Tuesday night in January specifically to try the new Korean BBQ Burger. It's 100% Angus beef cheeseburger topped with crispy sweet onions, fresh scallions and a savory Korean BBQ sauce on a toasted potato bun. I didn't order French Fries because I'm not crazy about their crinkle cut. I thought this burger was absolutely delicious. Not necessarily because of the "Korean" treatment but just because Shake Shack makes a really delicious burger and when you order a double I believe the bun to meat ratio is spot on. The "Korean BBQ" sauce was too salty in my opinion. It's tough to complain about service here because there is none. You order at a computer, you take your own number, you get your condiments etc on your own, you find a seat and then they drop it at your table when it's ready. State of the art with a good bun, crispy thin edges on the burger. However they forgot to give me pickles. Fries. Standard crispy kind you get from the grocery or Raising Kane's. Not bad, not special. Korean Fried Chicken. This sandwich was okay, bordering on gross. Too much sauce that was sweeter than spicy. The bun was over soaked in sauce to the point where I just threw it out. Chocolate- High quality custard based chocolate shake. Total bill with a small tip was $49 for two double cheeseburgers, the Korean chicken sandwich, one order of fries, one cheese fries order and a chocolate shake. I came here once at like 1am in 2018 with the boys. There was a woman taking drive thru orders with the headset from her car while on the phone with what I can only assume was her baby daddy. Her dedication to shakes is was impeccable. We were promptly seated and given our food as the only people in the restaurant at this time. When it was time to leave, the host was nowhere to be found and we had to flag him down to pay for our food. Once again, we were impressed by his dedication to his craft. A true hero.
