Love it here. Love the fact that it's one on one interactions instead having one doctor with multiple patients. The front desk is super nice which is a plus since most front desk staff are not the friendliest. The parking lot is huge. Also the front of the building is for cancer patients and the back of the building is for physical therapy. read more

There is an office with Providence workers directly adjacent to the massage rooms and there is the loudest, rudest employee (not masseuse), she is shouting on her cell phone and throws her keys on her desk and is very disruptive to the zen room. I pay a lot to relax and this employee is horrible. She is Mexican or Arabic about 45 or 50 years old. She ruins my massage when I see her because she is so loud on personal cell phone calls. St. Jude Wellness Center - Massage Therapy Near Me - Brea, California

Tessa is an excellent pilates instructor! She mixes up the exercises to keep sessions fresh and challenging. She will notice and correct my form if they're off the mark. read more

The St. Jude Wellness Center, aka St Jude Centers for Rehabilitation & Wellness, provides massage therapy, trainers (including studio pilates which is located in the rehabilitation portion of the 1st floor), nutritionists, and many more. The St. Jude Rehabilitation Center serves over 500+ patients a day. With the amount of patients they serve, it is amazing when one thinks about it. I have been coming here for physical therapy for the past few years, and started massage therapy here to continue a form of self care. Previously, I had gone to massage therapy only offices or to a chiropractic office that offered massage therapy as well. Due to location proximity and having my favorite massage therapist leave the latter, I somehow stumbled upon that St. Jude Wellness Center also provided massage therapy (at comparable rates). Figured that it would be safe, clean, and that (hopefully) the quality here would be better than others. Doesn't hurt to try, right? At the beginning of the year, I bought the monthly package that includes 1 massage, and additional at a discount (10% off of more massages or massage packages), which is exactly what I needed because I always get one once a month, due to constantly sitting at work and etc. There are many therapists to choose from, and many offer different types of massages. So depending on your availability (especially since my schedule tends to be all over the place) and what you need, there is usually more than one therapist to schedule with. Even my physical therapist, on the Rehabilitation side, also schedules their massages here when they need it! I have been treated by Carla, Chelsea, and Ramsay. All are great at providing massages and with the monthly package, one can also add-on enhancements (hot stones, cold stones, foot or back scrub, sound bath, aromatherapy). St. Just Wellness therapists specialize in the following massage therapies: Prenatal Oncology Craniosacral Manual Lymphatic Drainage Reflexology Myofascial Sports Massage Swedish Abdominal Therapeutic Stretch Aquatic Bodywork Reiki Chair Massage Cold Stone Migraine Massage St. Jude Wellness offers one-time pricing, packages (5 sessions), massage membership (1x a month, additional at a discount), and etc. I like how they do not charge a gym membership and they are very professional here. There is someone at the front desk who checks you in, and you can also call in or use your online account to schedule/reschedule your appointment as well. Once you're checked in, one will use the elevator to the second floor. I do like the feature in the elevator to "wave" which floor you need, without having to touch the buttons, and also to "wave" to get the elevator to come to your floor. As another Yelper mentioned previously, the group classes and strength training seems to target more of the 65+ population because due to working the normal M-F, I am unable to attend any of the trainings/classes. For my massage therapy, I need to leave work early, drive through (hopefully) not too much traffic, and arrive 15-20 minutes before. Leaving work early once a month is doable, but not feasible weekly or etc. Overall, I would recommend their massage therapists. I feel relaxed after every session. Parking is a plenty, depending on the time of the day, and day of the week, of course. Everyone here is professional and kind. read more

On 28th I had massage therapy with H. Hiko & my chief complaint was a stiff neck from arthritis after the session my neck felt 100% better and he worked on my back as well. Which helped. Also the massage was amazing and I have already booked another massage with him. On 2-29 I booked a 50 minute stretch therapy with Joseph. he also worked on my neck and I'm almost pain-free today. My whole body was very tense and stiff and he loosened up my muscles and worked on my right hip from osteopenia. Also, I have sciatica in my right leg, he worked on that. Plus he worked on my back in between the massage yesterday and they stretched today I feel like a new woman! I plan to make another appointment with Joseph for a stretch therapy also. I'm so happy I found these services @ sent to rehabilitation wellness center in Brea. On 2-28 I had an evaluation for dizziness and mobility issues with Laurie from rehab. She did a very thorough job, evaluating my situation and gave me some very helpful suggestions. I am convinced that she can help me and provide the therapy that will be useful , I'm looking forward to working with her and the other rehab therapists for this condition. I was lucky to be able to rehabilitate with Wendy about a year ago. With two spinal fusions and bad knees the water therapy was wonderful. The therapists who oversee the maintenance, Tyson, Eric, Aisha etc are available for support. I look forward to my two weekly sessions and highly recommend. Top notch h! read more

Barbara Brewer is very experienced and knowledgeable with myofascial release therapy. She has been doing occupational therapy for decades and over a decade ago decided to get trained to do myofascial release. She is someone I recommend if you struggle with chronic muscle pain and have tried nearly everything for relief. Even if you haven't tried "everything" to ease your pain, consider giving Barbara a try. She will explain this process to you and give you exercises to do on your own. When I told my pain management doctor about her, he wanted her contact information so he could send his patients to her. read more

Massage therapist, Hiko is the best! Facilities are clean and well maintained, friendly front desk staff. Have been going here regularly for the past few years for massages and fitness classes. Pricing is affordable compared to other massage or fitness chains. They also offer package of services at discounted cost. Best of all, no upfront membership fees. After pandemic, facility was updated to have motion sensor elevator buttons which is great since that eliminated touching contaminated surface. Highly recommended. read more

The wellness program, which encompasses a gym, classrooms, a nutritionist, and massage therapy is at the front of the building (Physical Therapy is behind it). This gym and its classes fills a specific need and is for people who have finished physical therapy, and need transitional workouts to further assist them safely back into physical health. The groups are small, usually between 4-8 persons per class, led by qualified fitness trainers, most of whom are graduates of CSUF's physical training or kinesiology programs. The trainers are head and heels above anyone you'll find in the community. Here, you won't get hurt. Here, they'll understand what osteoarthritis is, and how to help people work out without hurting themselves. They're game for anyone with almost any condition. They can quote studies on various exercises and conditions. They are very good at what they do. Before you start classes, you have to take a very thorough intake, where they see how you move, stamina and body composition. From there they'll make class recommendations. There are classes in mobility, balance and strength, classes for osteoarthritis patients, yoga, cycling, and strength conditioning in the pool (only for those who have gone through at least 10 sessions of prescription prescribed Physical Therapy in the pool, prior to taking the class). The classes, because they are scheduled during the day, and the partnership with insurance-based programs like Silver Sneakers, tend to skew 65+, with my experience that everyone was well into their mid-70's. There were classmates to be deeply admired who wouldn't be able to go to just any gym, who had significant physical setbacks, including others who were recovering from joint replacement or getting ready for it. However, while it's admirable they are catering to the over 65+ group, there is the emerging group of Gen X, Y, and even Z's who suffer from morbid obesity and obesity related diseases, and also work. They can't take classes from 9-5, M-F. What they need is a program in a gym that is open 7 days a week, and is available after work and on weekends. Which makes me wonder -why doesn't STWC create satellites and partnerships with local gyms, and run programs out of those places? Why are they ignoring 3/4 of the local population? Either STWC is going to put itself out there as the expert in post-rehab fitness, or this place is going to languish as the 65+ die out. The other thing is that the center can be very very depressing. For whatever reason, they've decided that the only music played will be from the WWII era. I'm not sure if they're trying to 'relate' to their clients, but most probably listened to a much wider range of music. If they do decide to go after a younger market, they will need to up their game. In addition, they're maintaining the mask mandate even in the pool. I think it's time to revisit the policy. Just adhere to the vaccination policy, and maintain a pristine environment. If there's an outbreak address it then, and let people know. Lastly, I think it's shortsighted that St Jude doesn't hire the staff as employees, instead treating them as 1099's. The problem when management makes that decision is that there is very little incentive to create programs beyond what they have, improve the facilities, and be forward facing if you're not sure if you're going to be working or not. In other words, the overall organization is not really committed to wellness programs for the long run. read more
