My therapy was OK. However, their billing department made an error (kept inputting the wrong birthday for my insurance). Instead of verifying what they were doing, they cancelled all my appointments and blamed my insurance. I called my insurance company the same day they cancelled all my appointments to see what was wrong. My insurance company said it was their error. I'm confused why you would cancel all appointments before checking? The error was on their end. They were completely at fault. Never apologized, did not offer to fix my cancelled appointments, only offered me to reschedule for the next open availability, which was more than 2 weeks away. You would think, if you made an error, you would own up and take responsibility and try to work with the client. I definitely feel like this location does not care about their patients. read more

Every time I went here to get treated, the exercises they made me do, made me more disabled. I hobbled to my car after each visit with much more severe pain than I arrived with. After each session I couldn't walk for a few days. On my last visit - June 14, 2023 the student trainee had me do uncomfortable exercises with a broomstick with way too much motion for my injury. The actual physical therapist was not supervising this treatment - just the student trainee. After this 6/14/23 treatment I was UNABLE TO WALK FOR OVER A MONTH so I stopped going to CORE. It turns out I need lumbar spine surgery which is why the exercises made my condition worse instead of better. CORE is now telling my insurance (Aetna) that I was uncompliant because I stopped treatment. I STOPPED TREATMENT BECAUSE IT WAS CRIPPLING ME & CAUSING ME SEVERE PAIN. Not because I didn't want to comply. Now Aetna doesn't want to approve my L5-S1 laminectomy because CORE told them I was uncompliant. The management at CORE yelled at me last year when I asked for a refund. I just didn't think it was fair for them to charge me hundreds of dollars to make me more disabled. The management/owner does not care that the treatment was causing me excruciating pain & making me unable to walk. They just want to cover their ass because they are afraid of being held legally accountable. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Core Therapy was disappointing. I explained that the authorization form from our orthopedic surgeon could be submitted to our PPO insurance for coverage, but the person kept putting me on hold to ask his supervisor instead of letting me speak to them directly. I'm sure a quick call to the insurance could have resolved it, but they just didn't seem interested in helping or taking the business. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at C.O.R.E. I spent 13 weeks with them. It doesn't matter who sees you because they are a team of angels. You can feel the positive energy in the building, seriously. Everyone is so helpful and kind. They help you push yourself forward while doing so gently. So I wrote a one star review on CORE back in late June. A week or two after I submitted the review I received a call from the manager of the PT department asking me what happened during my first appointment and then taking full responsibility and apologizing for my negative experience. She said they absolutely should have sat down with me and went over each exercise to not only give me a proper workout but to also ensure I'm doing the exercises correctly. This is their normal procedure. The manager extended an offer to have me come and give them another opportunity to help me with my knee. I accepted. I just left my second PT appointment and I'm very pleased with the quality of the therapist, the quality of the equipment, and I feel confident I'm in good hands and should start feeling better soon. They say it not about how a person falls down but what's really important is how they get back up. CORE and I may have gotten off to a rocky start but they acknowledge there was an issue and fixed it in an impressive manner. I'm glad I'm going here. read more

I had to go to this place last year because Aetna was my new insurance. I was not happy with the service. All they want me to do was exercise. I told them that I need a back massage to relieve my back pain. They just made my back pain worse. The people that work here are not friendly, not helpful and they're lazy. They said they accepted insurance, but I ended up being heavily charged. When I asked the staff about it, they simply told me to call the insurance company myself. Dr. Kim is the best acupuncturist and listens to your patient needs. Always follows up with cate and helped me with my chronic neck back and knee issues. I'm such a baby and he's truly a gem. Very disappointed in this place. Years ago I went here, I had a good experience, then the doctor left to start his own practice. Like a previous client mentioned, this place is like an assembly line. The lady Krista Contreras did a horrible job. She tried to give me a massage, but she was panting. It was very uncomfortable. Not being mean, but she really needs to lose weight. She is a physical therapist who's 5.5" and 350lbs. I am not at my optimal weight either, but this lady is a Physical Therapist. She really needs to get on a healthy diet regiment. It felt as if physically she was struggling to give me a massage. Her arms were huge, it appeared like she struggles with holding her arms up to massage me. The doctor Harold Pan gave a better massage but was less than professional and opportunistic. First, he asked that I always schedule with him. After working with Krista Contreras I understood why. Then he tried to up-sell me on procedures that were not covered by my insurance company. I am still getting Physical Therapy, but I changed the provider to a place more attentive. This location is far for us considering it we live in a Anaheim hills, but it's worth the drive with the care my daughter receives. The girl in the front is kind and helpful when entering they are Covid safe if you're concerned about that. We have a physical therapy student who does my daughters PT, he's Kevin. He's always so helpful and willing to answer any questions! He never makes us feel silly for any questions we have which we appreciate it since this is all new to us. I appreciate the fact that he watches my daughter in case she's in pain and doesn't speak up because she's super shy. I love CORE Physical Therapy in Fullerton! I live close to Hoag Hospital Irvine and went to their Physical Therapy department for issues with lymphedema due to cancer. It was an awful experience. The work the Hoag physical therapist did actually made my lymphedema worse! My Hoag orthopedic specialist actually referred me to CORE PT in Fullerton after the horrible care I received at his own hospital. I drove to CORE Physical Therapy in Fullerton from my home in Irvine for 2 months, 3 times a week. The personable staff members at the front desk greeted me with welcoming smiles and were always so helpful. Dr. Contreras was absolutely incredible! She was friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very well trained. I truly feel that she saved my life. I had limited mobility when Dr. Contreras started working with me and ended with almost 100 percent mobility. That is unheard of for the type of injury I had. Her aides, Artie and Frank, were also incredible. They were kind, helpful, patient, and innovative. Dr. Contreras, Artie, and Frank helped me so much which in turn motivated me to continue the exercises at home. I am happy to report that thanks to CORE Physical Therapy staff members, I am finally living my best life. CORE has really improved my health and my recovery from foot surgery. This is the second PT I went to and the difference is night and day. Professional, clean, friendly, knowledgeable, with multiple staff which provides a variety of skills to apply to my recovery. You can get 15 minute massages, take ten dollar balance and strength classes, and they do workman's comp injury which is what I do. My 86 yo mom and mom-in-law have taken the classes here. The staff are wonderful with them and keep them safe from falls while they work on their balance and strength. Best place. Best people. read more

CORE Therapy with it's four locations in Orange County receives our great gratitude for assisting me back to recovery from Sciatica. Our doctor didn't give me any improvement. Finally by receiving massages and exercises at CORE did the painful problem go away. The PT team seem to be highly trained and very caring about improving your condition. The front office gals are very friendly and efficient. My wife who is recovering from surgery uses there very modern equipment - such as a treadmill with IFIT training videos of places worldwide to do her cardio workout. It makes the time to improve your body a more pleasurable experience. After the initial prescribed treatment there are continuing therapeutic programs one can do for better health. Really great group of Physical Therapy Doctors (DPT) and Physical Therapy Aides. They even have a Massage Therapist on site and Fitness Training classes. The front desk ladies are all friendly and helpful. They knew how to work with our insurance for billing without hassles.
