Unfortunately I have had several injuries, and have been to more physical therapy/occupational therapy than I care to admit. Access is without a doubt, the most professional I have been too. Very knowledgeable, and came up with a plan for me specifically which requires thinking outside the box because of my previous surgeries. The location is clean, the staff is friendly and attentive. Can't recommend this place enough read more

Tae is hands down the best physical therapist I've seen. He truly understands how the body works and can get to the root cause of your problem. His initial evaluation is very comprehensive and he can usually diagnose your problem areas based on measurements and movements. Other PT places I've been to have appointments that run like this: 1. Do some sort of heat pad/massage machine for 10-20 min 2. Physical therapist comes in to ask a couple of questions and have you use a couple of machines or do some exercises 3. There may be a little bit of manual manipulation Tae's appointments look like this (and this may depend on your specific problem) 1. Manual manipulation 15-25 min 2. Exercises with guidance and support 15-25 min He only sees one patient at a time, so you get his full attention. Initially I came to him for recovery after a foot fracture. Then I approached him about shoulder issues I've had for years. His knowledge and diagnostic expertise are amazing. He's competent, attentive, and personable. Highly recommended! read more

I have gone to see Tae for both issue with my back and knee. Getting old sucks :). He provides me great information and insight regarding the cause of my injuries as well as how to fix them. I've gone to other physical therapists in the past, but have definitely found the most success at Access Orthopedic. For anyone looking for a PT, I cannot recommend Tae enough. read more

It's been about 7 weeks since my 60-year-old dad started getting physical therapy with Tae. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. My dad had injured his lumbar/sacrum region many years ago and failed to mention anything to the family, let alone seek independent treatment. I just had no idea the extent of his damage. I was always giving him a back massage or stepping on his back for years, but nothing seemed to alleviate his pain or correct his poor posture beyond a day or two. We had also tried acupuncture, stretching exercises, TENS unit, etc. etc., but we had never tried physical therapy so we gave it a shot. Around week 4, I noticed my dad significantly improving. Usually, he had to roll laterally in order to get up from a supine position, and it took him quite a bit of effort and time to do just that. When he had to squat (specifically during gardening), his posture just looked super awkward. However! at about week 4, I noticed my dad squatting a bit more naturally and without using any external assistance! I also saw him getting out of bed more swiftly without having to completely roll to the side! I was so incredibly happy that I think I actually teared up during these moments. I just want to thank Tae again for his persistence and diligence in caring for my dad during these therapy sessions and challenging him with various "homework" exercises. My dad's quality of life definitely improved since first starting, and I can't say thank you enough. I would vouch for Tae's skills/knowledge/diligence/and compassionate heart any day to anyone, and I would absolutely recommend Tae to any family member or friend for physical therapy, which I already have. Thank you, and God mighty bless!!! read more

I limped my way into the office due to a high ankle sprain and Tae helped me with the pain and heal from the injury. During the course of treatment, Tae noticed other areas where I compensate for my 'weaker' muscles, resulting in less stable balance (I have a history of turning my ankles). Now that my sprain is fully healed, we'll work on strengthening certain areas to prevent future injuries. Tae doesn't just treat your current problem and send you on your way. He'll educate and equip you to prevent further injury. I've already referred Tae to several family members; if you need any physical therapy, whether its one or multiple injuries or chronic pain, give Tae a call and visit. read more

I had been dealing with a myriad of issues (hand/thumb pain, arm pain, and posture) for a while due to work and kids. Mostly just tried to treat it with irregular massages here and there. Fortunately, I started seeing Tae over 9 months ago and he's already helped alleviate the pain and provided strengthening exercises. He's not just trying to get you in and out the door; he really tries to be hands on to fix the core issues. Go see Tae if you want a PT that cares. read more

I overdid some HIIT exercises and ended up injuring my knee and back. Thankfully Tae and the team have been helping to heal my injuries and teach me the proper ways to stretch and strengthen. I've seen significant improvement over the last few weeks and am very grateful to be making progress. I really appreciate the intentional care and customized treatment for my condition. Highly recommend! read more

Dr Tae and Lauren are wonderful. They do not overbook patients and you never feel like you are a number. Dr Tae is very knowledgeable and personable. I would recommend this place over any "larger" PT clinics. Your body will get back better than before in no time! 5 star service! read more

In December 2019, my right ankle was broken. My wife had a back pain for long time. I tried to recover and exercise after surgery. I did it once for two months in April and May this year. But I still had pain. My friend who was healed here introduced me to this place. My wife Kathy n I went on the same day for treatment. We are both so satisfied with him and great care for only few times. Thank you so much ACCESS ORTHOPEDIC PHYSICAL THERAPY. read more

I've had chronic wrist pains for the last several years, ranging from a constant dull pain lasting for months at a time to having severe sharp pains that would act up even washing dishes. I can attribute much of that to being a software programmer and gamer, but being a father to a toddler now and expecting twins on the way, it became abundantly clear I should get help. Over the course of 6.5 weeks, Tae has helped address all of my concerns, it's been an incredible process. I've known several people to go to larger PT centers and don't have half as much success as I've had and I can say without a doubt that it's because of the 1:1 attention and care you get with Tae. I am a week out of PT now and continuing to just follow the exercises and stretches he's left with me as homework and I can still notice constant improvement in strengthening, which gives me confidence I won't have recurring issues in the future. It's not magic, but it sure works like it, would offer 10 stars out of 5 if I could. read more

So thankful for this office! I have recently been receiving treatment with Tae for chronic lower back pains from a car accident years ago. Prior to Access PT, I had only received chiropractic treatment; but over time, the pain came back. Following the first comprehensive evaluation, he concentrated on all/associated areas of concern, helped me to understand the source of my pain, and explained aftercare with detail. Elsewhere, I was only told what NOT to do as a method of prevention, but Tae focuses on treatment and aftercare that I CAN do to upkeep the effect of the manual therapy treatment. He guided me through some strengthening back/abdominal exercises to do regularly. I can attest to his methods of manual therapy in conjunction w these exercises - since my first ever appointment, my back feels notably better and much less tense. Movements that used to cause so much discomfort now bring little to no pain. Thank you Tae!! As Access PT was my first Physical Therapy experience, I especially appreciated the 1:1 setting. From the get-go, I felt very comfortable and reassured. The office itself is very inviting and set up in a way that supports the personal level of care that Tae provides. Frank, the PT assistant, is very friendly and helped me get acquainted as a new patient. He guided me through the paperwork and also helped me practice a few strengthening exercises after my appointment as well. I can tell that this office is passionate about the work they do and cares personally for each and every patient. Every time I go in, I leave with a greater understanding of my body and feeling better. I trust that Tae has my best interest and health at heart, and will definitely refer my friends and family. I know he'll take care of them! read more

Last month, I started PT at Access and it was honestly life-changing. I went in with what I thought was carpal tunnel. Everything was so painful, from washing my hair to brushing my teeth. I tried to downplay the pain I was experiencing because I have a young family to look after, and a job that required me to use my hands quite a bit- I didn't want to let anyone down. Tae was highly recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to give it a shot. After just a couple visits, I started to remember what it was like to feel normal again! I am so happy with the quality of service, and I regret not starting sooner. (The hubs is also grateful that I can go back to doing dishes and laundry again. :) ) read more

I couldn't be happier to have Tae as my physical therapist. He's a miracle worker. He was able to diagnose my problem right away and after a few push/pull/twist, I was feeling so much much better. His clinic is quaint and clean. No Covid worries because he disinfects between patients. Great place, great guy and great treatment. read more

I'm very thankful for the comprehensive care and relational treatment I received from Tae. I came in for an assessment of the knee after a sports related injury and Tae not only carefully examined my knee while explaining the various tests to me but also shared encouraging words to help me look forward to rehabilitation and recovery from a difficult setback. Tae is very knowledgeable and took into account of every discomfort and concern I had. His assistant, Frank, was also very accommodating and helpful as he taught me various exercises to strengthen the muscle groups surrounding the injury. My overall experience was very positive and I would definitely recommend others to this office. read more

Tae is a very knowledgeable, detail- oriented physical therapist who has helped tremendously. I've been to a few other physical therapists before and I can see a drastic difference in the way he provides care. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants to get better while understanding exactly what needs to be done since he explains the issues very well. read more

100% recommend Tae at Access Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Most PTs see 3-4 patients at a time but Tae gives amazing 1:1 care with massaging out pain/problem areas, helping you learn how to do your exercises properly, and explaining why they're so helpful (if you ask!). He is professional, patient, and kind to all of his patients & I'm so glad I was referred to him to help recover (neck & back) from a car accident. He follows COVID protocols well and is always wearing his mask despite already having been vaccinated. He always takes temperatures at entry, has hand sanitizer ready always and sanitizes the areas between every patient. I never had to worry about anything COVID related. read more

I had a relative in need of a new physical therapist in the Brea, CA and Orange County area. He had gone to a few others with a previous joint replacement but never felt as though he got the attention he needed. I reached out to friends to see who in the area was the best physical therapist to go to and they recommended Tae. Tae had my relative back on the golf course 10 weeks post knee replacement!!! They said that he was professional, kind and focused during his sessions. My relative was so thankful that he was able to get all of his sessions one-on-one. Additionally, Tae took the time to make sure he understood how to do all of the exercises at home, what to do and what not to do. He laid it all out in a clear and easy to follow plan. I am so thankful that there are physical therapists out there like Tae! Tae truly is the best physical therapist!!! read more

I visited Tae for my work related injury. I injured my neck, shoulder, and upper back about one year ago and now that I went back to full time work, it's been acting up... so I met Tae and he was very professional and client centered. He is very skillful and knowledgeable, he was able to point out where in my body was acting up causing pain. Also, taught me several home self-exercises. Basically, I was relieved from pressure and my range of motion improved a lot only after one session! I am planning to continue to follow up with Tae, and I am hopeful for a great recovery!!! read more

I've had severe chronic lower back pain for over 10 years due to my scoliosis. I've seen multiple doctors, chiropractors, and other physical therapists for it, but none have been able to provide me with a long-term solution. All the other physical therapists I've seen just treated my pain as general back pain, but Tae has really helped me get to the root of the problem. He pays close attention to what my body needs and what is causing me pain and has provided me with the care I've never received before. Since going to Access, my back pain has gotten so much better and I am continuing to strengthen my body with the exercises and care Tae provides. read more
