During my recovery, there were several week long gaps of not actually being able to get any physical therapy sessions due to workers comp being a headache. I researched online and found Coach Mike's physical therapy center. I reached out to him and told him my situation. Mike welcomed me into his gym with open arms knowing my unusual scenario with the possibility of having to relocate at any moment. I've only saw Coach Mike for two physical therapy sessions and been to my previous physical therapy center a total of twenty-four times. Coach Mike leveled me up with reduced pain and improved movement in just those two sessions than I've had at the previous physical therapy center. The at-home workouts Coach Mike had me do were challenging and organized unlike the other physical therapy center I was going to. The one-on-one communication with Coach Mike is also important as I wasn't able to communicate with any of my physical therapist from my other physical therapy center until the next time I saw them. I'm thankful for having Coach Mike in my corner because without him I would probably be far behind in recovery. I truly do recommend Coach Mike for physical therapy because he actually cares about his patients. Thank you Coach Mike.

I honestly felt lucky to have find out about Mike. He was able to pinpoint my issues almost instantly after getting me to do a few stretches and movements. We then started working right away on movements for my shoulder. I was super impressed because I've never felt the activations of my shoulder ligaments like I did with Mike. After our session, he even helped me out with my other minor issues such as my left wrist and lower back. He provided me with all of the exercises and warm ups via an app and it's super organized. I know it's their job to be able to quickly assess you but I was so impressed by how spot on their assessment of where I was hurting. Throughout the session, they checked in with me to see how I was feeling as we worked through the different exercises. They even gave me exercises to do at home. The staff is great and they really have a family environment. They are so great, that my mom and dad also come here for treatment. And they have only great things to say about their treatments and all the staff. They really care about their patients and it shows in their work. Especially now with the COVID-19 pandemic, they are making sure that their patients have the best care possible.

Due to my previous experience with the care that she received there, I immediately contacted Diondra in admissions because I did not want my mom to go anywhere else. She got back to me immediately and assured me she will contact the caseworker at the hospital to coordinate the admission. The staff here is amazing and their attentive to care is great! I was there daily if possible but if for some reason, I could not visit I knew she was in good hands. David at the front lobby desk is so nice and friendly. I had things delivered to my mom a few times and he always made sure she got it. Her CNA's (that I can think of) Cindy, Maria, Alma, Miguel and Abby all did a great job and made my mom comfortable. Her LVN's Sydney, Stephanie and Ryan all made sure she got her medication when she needed it. Her nurses Nancy and Mercy were great! They went above and beyond supervising her care. Ramona the social worker set up all of her home health and was a big support for me as well. She's very compassionate and great at her job. The physical therapists Kyle, Scott, Sara, Rocco and Joseph pushed my mom and helped her build up her strength. The social activity coordinators Alex, Jeanette and Justine do a great job with the patients. It is never ideal when a loved one has to be placed in a long term care facility but when they are at a place and you know that they are being cared for by compassionate care givers who truly care about the patients, it really helps. My mom cried when she left because she was so grateful to all of the staff. I live in SELA and was willing to drive to La Mirada because it was a great place. I would never have my mom go anywhere else.

Every movement and exercise was treated with great care and precision, and his knowledge really shows -- he was excellent at tailoring home exercises for my mom and her exact needs. She was initially doubtful she'd ever return to her normal activities, but within just a couple of months she was moving comfortably again and even traveling with no issues. The ER doctor recommended my mother to physical therapy after being hospitalized for almost two…read moreweeks. She had pain and swelling in her arms and feet. I went on Yelp to check reviews and Balance and Motion Physical Therapy had the highest best rated reviews. My mother called and made an appointment the same week. We arrived on a Friday late afternoon for her first session. Location is clean and well managed. Leonard is the MPT and he is the sweetest! He was very welcoming and my mother felt very comfortable. He is very personable and knowledgeable. Within my mother's 60 minutes session, she would do the following: stationary bike, assisted pull ups from the chair, weights, and treatment for her areas of pain. After a couple sessions, my mother was able to see results. Her swelling went down and she started to gain her strength back. She saw Leonard twice a week for two months and she is back to her normal self. Overall, I highly recommend Leonard at Balance and Motion Physical Therapy.

I've done continuous stretching and exercises I've learned online in order to try to stay active. Start of DynamX PT: Abigail did my evaluation and noticed I had weak posterior chain. Her and Dustin came up with a workout routine that I did both at physical therapy and at home. In my 3-month span I was able to go from barely able to jog with pain to one legged explosive jumping. It did take lots of work but with Dustin's dynamic workouts I was able to improve gradually over time. Thanks: Huge shout out to Fain for staying on top of my insurance company.
