Due to my previous experience with the care that she received there, I immediately contacted Diondra in admissions because I did not want my mom to go anywhere else. She got back to me immediately and assured me she will contact the caseworker at the hospital to coordinate the admission. The staff here is amazing and their attentive to care is great! I was there daily if possible but if for some reason, I could not visit I knew she was in good hands. David at the front lobby desk is so nice and friendly. I had things delivered to my mom a few times and he always made sure she got it. Her CNA's (that I can think of) Cindy, Maria, Alma, Miguel and Abby all did a great job and made my mom comfortable. Her LVN's Sydney, Stephanie and Ryan all made sure she got her medication when she needed it. Her nurses Nancy and Mercy were great! They went above and beyond supervising her care. Ramona the social worker set up all of her home health and was a big support for me as well. She's very compassionate and great at her job. The physical therapists Kyle, Scott, Sara, Rocco and Joseph pushed my mom and helped her build up her strength. The social activity coordinators Alex, Jeanette and Justine do a great job with the patients. It is never ideal when a loved one has to be placed in a long term care facility but when they are at a place and you know that they are being cared for by compassionate care givers who truly care about the patients, it really helps. My mom cried when she left because she was so grateful to all of the staff. I live in SELA and was willing to drive to La Mirada because it was a great place. I would never have my mom go anywhere else.

I came to Longevity Performance Institute after dealing with persistent back pain that was keeping…read moreme from moving, exercising, and working out the way I wanted to. I'm a Kaiser patient, and unfortunately my experience with Kaiser physical therapy did very little to improve the problem. I eventually went to another outside physical therapist who helped quite a bit more, but I still felt like I had plateaued and couldn't get myself back beyond about 90%. I found Longevity through Instagram and decided to take a chance. I generally hate going out of network because I'm already paying for health insurance and the additional cost can be hard to justify, but in this case I'm extremely glad I did. Gary specifically was a perfect fit for me. He was attentive, thorough, knowledgeable, and actually took the time to understand what was going on rather than just running me through a generic set of exercises. The experience was night and day compared with both Kaiser and the other physical therapy I had tried. Over time, Gary developed a program that got me back to well over 90%, but more importantly, got me moving, exercising, and working out again--which was exactly what I wanted from physical therapy. I also felt like I understood my back better and had a plan for continuing to improve rather than simply hoping the pain would go away. Their new Orange location is great too. The facility is really nice and the entire experience has been excellent. I almost wish I had more back problems so I could keep getting treated there. Almost :) I would absolutely recommend Longevity, and Gary in particular, to anyone who has gone through traditional physical therapy and feels like they've plateaued or aren't getting the individualized attention they need.

Dr. Gary resolved a nagging hip pain I've had on and off for years due to overuse. I've seen PT's in the past and they've all said the same things: "stretch your hip, work it out a little more, etc." and none of them every found the root cause. From the first session, I could tell Dr. Gary was different. He looked at my issue holistically and focused on the bad ankle on the same side as my bad hip. After that first session, I haven't had hip pain and for the remaining sessions we were able to focus on ankle mobility to resolve other issues related to it. I can finally enjoy playing basketball without any pain again! Thanks Dr. Gary!

Background: Came in with sharp knee pain when jumping or…read morerunning. I've had this pain for 5+ years. I've done continuous stretching and exercises I've learned online in order to try to stay active. Start of DynamX PT: Abigail did my evaluation and noticed I had weak posterior chain. Her and Dustin came up with a workout routine that I did both at physical therapy and at home. In my 3-month span I was able to go from barely able to jog with pain to one legged explosive jumping. It did take lots of work but with Dustin's dynamic workouts I was able to improve gradually over time. Thanks: Huge shout out to Fain for staying on top of my insurance company.
