Good food, new menu, for take-out. Big portions, reasonable prices and the people are a very nice family. Love the bibimbap and tofu dishes for vegetarians! Love all the plants too.

It doesn't look it, but this is the best place to get teriyaki chicken around here, delicious food every time and you get quite a bit for the price.

Spicy Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken dinners with gyoza and egg rolls. Yum!

Not gonna lie - we were hesitant to try this place because of some of the reviews. Finally decided to just give it a whirl - and it was great! We called and pre-ordered for pick up. It was ready really quickly. We had spicy chicken with gyoza and teriyaki chicken with egg rolls. $22 out the door and the huge portions lasted two of us for three meals each! Everything tastes great - the chicken, sides, rice and green salad with lovely dressing... We were very pleased and will be back!

Chicken fried rice

Hmm, yelp did me wrong on this stop. I was looking for some decent teriyaki nearby and happened to be in North Portland. Checked out a few places on Yelp and decided here because of the thumbs up for yakisoba. Chicken yakisoba and chicken fried rice was what I ordered - both were not to my liking. The rice was drenched in oil ... so much so that they had to use 2 trays because oil had spilled everywhere. Very little flavor and it was a greasy mess! The yakisoba was not the noodle type I like and looked different than the pictures I saw. They use a thicker noodle that was not appetizing. The sauce was sweet - probably teriyaki sauce - and I regretting my choice as soon as I opened the to go container. I won't be back .. they stockpile all kinds of trash outside their business which makes the area look unkept.

Teriyaki Chicken & gyoza combo

This is a tremendous hidden gem in St. John's. When you're looking for a good lunch shop, there are typically three things you're after: quick service, low prices, and good portion size. This spot has all three boxes checked. My general go to is the teriyaki chicken and gyoza combo, which is only $7.99, and comes with a heap of rice and a dressed salad. I can generally stretch this to a second lunch, which puts me at about $4 a lunch. You genuinely can't beat that. The folks here are nice, speedy, and there's always a good number of people at lunch time, so you know you're going where the locals go. If you're looking for a tasty teriyaki lunch, give this spot a try.

The food is alright, most of their stuff is like $6.50 for a decent meal. I have seen bugs there though that's what brings my stars to a 3

It was so delicious that I brought my spouse back for dinner when he arrived later in the weekend. When I went the first night I got the shrimp pad Thai and it was the best pad Thai I've had in a long time. So full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I also got the hazy IPA from the local brewery, Backwoods. When we came back later in the weekend, my spouse got the shrimp pad Thai since I sang its praises. I got the million dollar shrimp tom kha ramen and it was DIVINE! I literally cherished every slurp and bite, it was so incredible and flavorful! My spouse got a different local IPA and I got a unique twist on a Negroni. The staff were extremely friendly helpful, ensuring that we had an impeccable experience from start to finish. Prices were also reasonable for the high quality ingredients, quantity, and presentation. The ambiance was wonderful, offering a clean, welcoming, and modern-green chic aesthetic. Not only did we have an amazing dinning experience, but also an amazing service and ambiance experience! If we are ever in town again, Buranko Cafe & Bar will be our top spot to stop!

Two bibimbaps to go: one was tofu and the other was spicy pork. Spicy pork is not spicy but looks like it is. Good taste, so it's marinated well and the meat isn't tough to chew, like some other places. I loved the spicy pork bibimbap though. All fresh ingredients! They give a lot of vegetables, which is so nice, because other places are very sparing with their ingredients. I'm usually left with so much rice at the end. However, this place did a good job giving the right amount of ingredients. They also gave a small cup of miso soup - thank you! Would get this again! My husband enjoyed his tofu version. If you're someone who wants spice, add some of the red sauce they give you in a cup. I was very happy the spicy pork wasn't spicy, but I liked being able to control any spice with the red sauce.

I definitely preferred the bulgogi. Due to too many food allergies, my choices were limited, but I loved the bulgogi and can't wait to go back. Location: This bar is on the first floor of the Hyatt House Portland / Downtown. Ambiance: Pretty quiet and chill. There weren't a lot of people there so it was really easy to get a drink. Drink options: I really loved how they circle around different local beer on tap. They also have a few bottled beer too. They have a cast amount of liquor too. Surprisingly, they had a new bottle of Hennessy when we finished the first (during our stay). Usually a lot of bars in hotels don't have it, so that was a major plus. Bartenders: We met three while we were there. All of them super kind, friendly, and informative of the surrounding area. They gave us lots of tips on what to see, eat, and drink. They were really down to earth people. Pricing: I thought it to be fairly reasonable for a hotel, however I might just be jaded from Bay Area pricing (yikes). What I loved about this bar is that we were able to just chat with the bartender. I didn't feel like I had to go back to my room with my drink (which is usually the case). I was able to talk to a few other people sitting at the bar too. Of course all from out of town, but still nice talking to other friendly strangers. They do serve food at this place, but I didn't really get a chance to try it it since there was soooo many other food joints in the area.

We watched two tables leave without ordering. We waited until our food arrived to receive a drip coffee and a hot tea. (And when it did arrive the coffee was a cold cup of machine rinse. I really wanted what many have posted as the Hawaiian Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 spam, 2 Portuguese sausage, white rice. But it wasn't on the menu. Our server accommodated my request (thanks to the pictures from Yelpers). But when it arrived it was 3 eggs, 2 spam and rice. Overall the menu is confused. Is it a Hawaiian theme or not. Scant options is rice. Lots of potatoes. Even the condiments were confused; no soy or siracha on the table but ketchup and Tapatio. The general lack of caring by the management is what sticks with me. The sad bowl of sugar packets, jam packets, creamers and stir sticks all thrown together on the table like a mistake. But when I asked for honey or soy our server had to go to the kitchen and get side dishes of these. C'mon y'all. Pay attention to the details. Your customer sure are.

The best thing about it was the location, beautiful area right on the water and the restaurant itself was pretty. The food was fine, but nothing really stood out for me. Maybe I am spoiled living in Los Angeles where there are so many Dim Sum places and dumpling houses. The concept with this restaurant is that it is family style, so it is meant to share, which is great, but the portions I would are small for family style. The noodles are enough for one, dumplings and potstickers, I guess for a small family may be ok, but we had a large group, so we had to order 3-4 of each thing just so people could have some. Probably my favorite thing on the menu were the sweet and spicy cucumbers, although not spicy at all, which was a trend. The dishes that were supposed to be spicy were not, even when we asked for the chili oil, that somehow did not have a spice level to it that was measurable. We ordered cucumbers, noodles, potstickers, dumplings and baos all have options for fried and steamed we got some of each, fried rice, beef pancake rolls, five spice beef, spicy beef (which both tasted the same) and some other items. The best things for me were the cucumbers, the fried potstickers and the jasmine tea. They bring you the dishes as they are ready so the service is constant as they come out. Can be a little slow, but our server was nice and kept track of everything for us and made sure our drinks were full, thank you. Atmosphere - 5 Service- 4 Food - 3 If the location and atmosphere was not so amazing, probably would have given a 3 based on the food, not bad and some high points, but mostly just average IMO. Great vibes here though and would probably come back for that alone and see if it is a different experience with a smaller group or a single family. Enjoy!

I didn't care for the spicy mayo one, but I wish we had more gochujang sauce as there wasn't enough to mix into the dish.
