Got a chance to enjoy some really good music by Chae Stephen. Drinks and food were quite enjoyable. I had the collar greens with Turkey and the 1800 tequila with coconut and pineapple. Yummy. Angel gave excellent service.

We came in town and happened upon St. James Live! What a find!! Frankie Quinones and Latin Jazz were the featured act. They were amazing. The food was good, we ordered lollipop lamp chops, 2 types of wings and meatballs. The service and ambiancewas great. I had a great time!

The menu on Thursday was a major disappointment. The portions were very small and definitely not enough to fill you up so they need to either lower admission prices or make larger portions. I understand it was tappas but they need to do something else. The fish was good but it had too much sauce, the potatoes were so dry I sent them back, the fries weren't cooked enough so I just took them home and the side of rice was such a small scoop they may as well kept it. The customer service was decent, the restroom was clean and the music was amazing. I was hoping to enjoy my experience as much as I did last time especially since it was my birthday. I don't think I'm going back again.

Such a fun spot with great live music! Reservations: You have to make reservations in advance. If going with friends, make sure to secure seats at the same table. Parking: There is a large parking lot with free parking! Woo! Food: There's a limited menu. Make sure to order early enough before the kitchen closes. I ordered the Pan Seared Salmon with pineapple salsa. My friends ordered the St. James Wings (Sweet Chili and Lemon Pepper). Everyone enjoyed their food! Drinks: I ordered a glass of wine and I enjoyed it! I'm not sure what my friends ordered, but they seemed to enjoy their drinks as well. Vibes: The live music is so much fun! The energy was bright, fun, and interactive. People were singing, dancing, and enjoying the music. People celebrating birthdays were celebrated and there were conga lines happening! If you're trying to have deep conversations, this is not the place for that. This space is for feeling the music and enjoying the drinks/food. The only thing I didn't appreciate was how hard it was to flag down waitstaff. When I was given my food (salmon), I wasn't given utensils. We had to get up after sometime to go get some.

The vibe was great. I was greeted and seated. The food was awesome. Came on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't super crowded. The band was great. Definitely visit if you like live music

Food: Good Ambience: Romantic and classy Service: Welcoming and attentive Overall, this is a great place to listen to live music in an intimate setting for a date night or girls night. We were immediately greeted by the staff and escorted to our seats. V6 was our table and have a good view of the stage. We came here on a Thursday evening to see BK Jackson (awesome!) and the parking lot had ample free parking despite the show being quite full. I was only disappointed by them charging $26 for a standard alcoholic beverage and the fact that they don't list prices on their beverage menu. It was quite a surprise to us so please as your waiter for prices first before ordering. FYI the fries and wings were surprisingly delicious.

We live SJL! The shoes are always top notch! The show started 42 minutes late tonight, but the musicians made it worth our wait! Brit was our server and she was 10000% on point! The venue is always cleaning and very inviting! We NEVER eat here, gave it a chance twice and it was a total waste! So we have food before coming. In fact, the ladies sitting in front of us complained about their food tonight and refused to pay for it....soooo ‍

Very nice music venue. Good food and service. We look forward to coming back in the future for more jazz events.

Always love my time at St James Live! Music is always great. The menu could use a bit of work though - we always eat before we come because the selections aren't that best.

Yes yes yes! I loved visiting this gem outside of the city on my recent trip to Atlanta. This stop is going to be a must every time I come to visit. The show we saw was Christmas themed and it was everything. Not only was the show amazing, but the food was incredible. I would also come back without a show just to eat. The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well, I ate almost half my salmon when I realized it was undercooked in the middle and they promptly brought me a whole new meal!

So let's start off by saying my parking angels were with me. When they say arrive early or consider using rideshare, it's true! As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I started to get anxious because I saw the countless cars already parked on the side of the road. And it was dark! Thankfully, someone was leaving when I arrived! I paid $35 plus tax cover to sit at the bar and it was totally worth it! The band that night was Gritz & Jelly Butter. Very good band and quite entertaining to say the least. I ordered the chocolate martini because of a Yelp review and it did not disappoint! I also went ahead and ordered an appy (Vegetable Spring Rolls) despite the reviews on Yelp. And I will probably just stick with drinks next time. This is definitely a spot I look forward to visiting in the future and bringing my dad and/ or god mother. We would definitely arrive early and eat prior to our arrival and just enjoy a drink or two and the band.

Ask the Community - St. James Live!

    How is parking?

Plenty of parking in a parking lot!

Do you have to have ticket to get in? can you go for the food & drinks?

The box office opens an hour before the shows. You can buy tickets to show then but it's much easier online and you can see what/how many seats are available.

    Is there a coat check?

I THINK IT IS FOR BIG COATS, BUT WE ALL HAD SMALL JACKETS & BLAZERS.

It took some time to receive our food. The mashed potatoes had too much pepper, salmon medium rare was cooked too much, pork chops with peach glaze outstanding sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, and carrots were good as well. The string beans could have cooked a bit longer. Overall, when I'm back in the ATL I would come back.

I sat down at the bar at 9:04pm, and placed my order for the seafood gumbo, highly recommended by the hostess (who had the personality of a bumper sticker). I looked around the place. The live band was decent. Not terrible, but definitely not good enough for me to watch. Then I waited. And waited. Thankfully, I was able to doom scroll TikTok, because my food didn't arrive till 9:52pm- the place closes at 10pm! There were 4 customers at the bar (which seats 10), and one of the other patrons sitting near me clearly was annoyed that his take-out order was taking just as long. Do yourself a favor. Do NOT come here. The food itself tasted like microwaved leftovers, and was less than luke warm..... like my son's diaper 12 minutes after he pee'd in it. The bartender was nice, but even she apologized for the long wait. Yeah.... don't do it. Stay in your hotel with Lunchables and root beer.

The stage gives a voice to musicians, poets, and spoken word artists. We selected this venue as the backdrop for the Atlanta Black Chambers Health & Wellness Committee's social mixer, and it did not disappoint. The food was awesome and had everyone singing its praises. I enjoyed the fried shrimp and fries. The shrimp were nice, plump, and perfectly fried. The menu prices were reasonable. Paid nearby parking is available, ranging from free if you luck up on street parking to $10 in local lots and hotels. I paid $10 to valet park at the Hyatt. I initially ordered a rum punch, but our server suggested that I try a Bahama Mama instead. When the drink arrived, I realized it contained coconut and explained that I have a coconut allergy. I was then told that drinks cannot be returned once they have been poured. That response was especially frustrating because the drink ingredients were not listed on the menu, and I had relied on the server's recommendation. The interaction with management made the situation worse. I was told that I needed to "stick to what I know" when ordering drinks, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Guests should not be spoken to that way, particularly when raising a legitimate allergy concern. The drinks also tasted overly diluted and did not reflect the price or quality I expected. Between the $20 entry fee and $15 parking charge, the overall value was difficult to justify. The ambiance is ok but the bar area is cluttered and what not. A few artists performed before we left, but the venue did not have the same energy or quality that I remember from previous years. Apache Café has long been known as a place that supports local talent, but based on this visit, both the customer service and product quality need serious improvement. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and I would be hesitant to return.
