In a town with lots of options for your donut fix, St. George's is a standout choice, serving nothing but freshly baked perfection day after day. Just make sure to get there early or your favorites might be sold out! PROS While some donut shops in the area try to overcome their underwhelming pastries by overloading them with mountains of extravagant toppings, St. George's takes a different approach: each donut, from the humble glazed to the heavenly Bavarian Cream filled long-john, is made fresh that day - nothing day-old or stale here - and they only as many as they know they can sell. My personal favorite is the glazed, Bavarian Cream filled (either traditional round or long-john). While it comes in chocolate or maple frosted, I think the original glazed best highlights the crisp exterior and tender middle. Their old fashioned and donut holes are a close second for me. Another major pro is the staff. They are kind, helpful, and efficient - even when the line is out the door! That, paired with a bright and clean space, makes St. George's a favorite stop for a treat with our whole family. CONS The only downside of St. George's is that if you don't get there by mid-morning your favorite may be sold out, but for me I'd always rather try something new than know there's a chance my donut will be stale! OVERALL If you want a great donut, and who doesn't, then make St. George's your next stop! They even have some really great specials on dozens if you're buying for a crowd.

So I don't even like donuts, so when my other half insisted we get a donut after brunch - I went with the flow. But - my oh my. This place isn't fancy and if you are looking for a gourmet donut like some crazy combo besides glazed, old fashions, jelly, sprinkles, then this is not your place. Things to note: 1) There are cake donuts, not my thing except for the blueberry one. Get that! 2) Donut holes or munchins b/c i'm from the east coast - only have one kind - glazed for 35 cent and it is amazing. 3) Lots of turnovers and other stuff 4) Limited seating but there is some 5) Very very friendly people 6) Bring cash 7) 3am-2pm or until they run out!

Mmmm. Donuts!

Super busy and but great donuts. Get here early as while they don't run out, the lines do get long.

I came here around 8 to get donuts for my office. I ordered a dozen glazed and a dozen mixed and it was fast, quick and most importantly delicious. I loved their donut with white frosting and sprinkles on it. It was really sweet but went well with a black coffee. Would definitely come back here again. I paid around $21 for the two dozens ($8.50/ dozen for glazed) and a coffee.

Coming from New York, it's tough to find a donut shop that compares to the many amazing choices here. St. Georges gets pretty damn close. Their donuts are made fresh on the spot and constantly being brought out. I've not had one yet that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. While cake donuts tend to be a tad dense, these seem to have a light airy texture to them. The blueberry is by far the best one they offer, followed closely by the simple yet delicious cinnamon sugar. The red velvet is another favorite. The cinnamon crumb donut is one I haven't seen before, and is really good as well. They also offer several jam and cream filled options. The strawberry one I tried was pretty great, and extremely fresh. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. The line can get pretty crazy, but it moves fast. The staff for the most part is pretty friendly and helpful. They tend to be a bit brash at times, but that's probably due to the high volume of people coming and going. By far best donuts I've had outside of New York.

It looks like a standard glazed donut, but rest assured it is the greatest glazed donut known to man.

I admit that I may not be a donut aficionado, however what I lack in a discerning tongue I more than make up for in sheer quantity of donuts consumed. With full confidence I can say that the plain glazed donut fresh out of the fryer at st. George's is the best I've ever had. The other donuts are also good but the real star is the glazed. The cinnamon roll is also a gift from the heavens. Get your donuts from st. George's.

We stopped at Hurts donuts on the way out of town. As we were leaving. Don't make that mistake. Go…read moreearlier in your trip. The restaurant was extremely clean, but I also think we may have been the first people there. It was very early. The decor was very fun. Whoever did all this stuff had a very good sense of humor as well. The young ladies who served us were bright pleasant and appeared to be enjoying their job, which I thought was a rarity for kids that age I got two different regular donuts,. The first one was a spice cake with caramel and cinnamon, and it was delicious. The second one was some sort of forgettable yeast donut that was just OK. My wife got this huge apple fritter. She ate on that thing most of the day as we traveled. She said it was incredible and extremely good. She also got a cup of some sort of flavored coffee that she said was ok. (brown sugar oat milk) The only drawback was the price, while they are extremely artistic donuts, full of flavor and very pretty. They were also $3 apiece. I'm not really griping here. It was probably worth it. Just be prepared. $30 for a dozen seems high to me. Overall, this is probably one of the top three donut places I've been to (The Donut Stop in Amarillo, Tx and Round Rock Donuts in Round Rock Tx) It just isn't your little mom and pop donut shop! Go sit down and enjoy a really pretty donut, I will when I go back
