Every time I go, I say I'm never going back. Treats are good, customer service is terrible. And it's a shame because this place has a cult following of little older ladies, but they treat everyone like trash. They must think they don't need to try any harder since they have a reputation in the community, but to me their reputation is for being hateful, rude, and mean to customers. I normally like to support small business, but I'll go to Dunkin over this place. read more

I have purchased the Kringle from this bakery and they are amazing!!--especially the raspberry! But I purchased a birthday cake and the writing was horrible and birthday was spelled wrong. I contacted the owner on their Facebook account and showed them a pic of the cake. They were beyond helpful about the problem. (New employee while they were on vacation). I received such great customer service that I had to write a review. Their response was immediate and very accommodating. read more

So glad we took the time to research bakeries. We read the reviews and decided to take the short jaunt south to Supreme. There were so many things to choose from! I was getting bakery whiplash. But, it was just breakfast and we had to pick, so we chose a huge apple fritter, which had giant chunks of apple and delicious cinnamon throughout, and a giant blueberry turnover. Now, when I say giant, I'm not joking. I could only eat half. I ate the rest for dessert later. The folks were so nice and helpful. I'm from out of town, but when I come back through I'm going to try a kringle. They looked fantastic, too! read more

Supreme Bakery may not look like much when you drive up, it's in a small strip mall in Springfield MO. Known for their Kringles, they are the ONE thing you have to get while you visit. Excellent Kringles! You must get there early for a better selection of flavors though. Not a lot of variety of pastries and cookies (for example I didn't see cake pops, brownies, macarons or cannolis). Counter service was a little slow, and no gluten free options, but the staff are friendly! Would recommend. read more

We are not from here and we needed a last minute birthday cake made for our two boys. We came here and without much of a notice they made us a wonderful birthday cake. Recently came across this gem,while Googling another dining place.. I had previously only enjoyed Kringle pastry through shopping @ Trader Joe's in California.. I really enjoyed them but, finding this fresh baked delight close to my home is wonderful.. They bake a number of flavors and I will, slowly sample each one.. They also have a variety of decadent goodies but, to me, the Kringle is the star.. The quality is beyond great and the service is superb.. Supreme seems pretty overstated for this bakery. After experience, a number of other worthy adjectives come to mind like... ordinary and pedestrian. I've had a few of the morning pastries like the danish and cinnamon roll, as well as some fruit muffins and the chocolate chip muffin. More recently, I went for a glistening halloween ghost cookie. The pastries were tasty despite being a touch dry, the chocolate chip muffin was a little confusing, and the fruit muffin was the best. The choc. chip muffin's exposed top was a minefield of enticing chocolate chips... (too many actually). But the interior was nothing but vacant yellow cake. I want my chocolate mingled throughout the treat! However, The fruit muffin did have proper distribution of berries and cake, and was generally soft and pleasing. The cookie was the biggest miss. It looked fantastic... but it tasted artificial... Like if I had planted my face in a bag of crusty powdered sugar. It also tasted and felt a tad old. Perhaps that led to the over saccharine flavor. I just know it was one of the first cookies in ages that I didn't finish... Supreme Bakery is pretty inexpensive and average if you are looking for a sweet pick me up. Fritter Friday is excellent with a great selection of Fritters. Some are the usual and some are very different. All of them are good. But what makes this place so special is the owner and all her assistants. They are so friendly and personable with each customer. They make you feel "at home." Love it! read more

This place is so.damn.good. The Kringle is just the softest, flakiest, flavor filled beauty you'll ever taste! I wish they had the apple cheese one more often, but I'll settle for blueberry cheese anytime. One thing I will say, if it wasn't for the amazing kringle I probably wouldn't go there. I always buy the cake slices because they are so moist, delicious and have lots of icing. Well today they had almond and it has to be the most incredible cake I've ever had. Wow.... with the boom in the popularity of cupcakes, and the fact that you are going up against chains like Gigi's and The Cup, I'm amazed this place doesn't try harder. You get these short little cupcakes that look like they were frosted by an 8 year old. I am 100% POSITIVE the frosting is Pilsbury from those little jars. There is nothing homemade, special, imaginative, or exciting about these cupcakes. This is boxed cake, premade frosting, and a tragic attempt at frosting. If you are going to charge someone money for something that they can make themselves at home for under $3, at least TRY to make it look good. These things are just sad. read more

I absolutely love home grown bakeries. Not fad pastry shops. Or pretentious over blown trends. What I like is a good cookie. A good donut. A good Danish. And something different - the cream horn maybe! The donuts are large and looked lovely. The Danish were shiny fresh and plentiful. But where I entered into this wonderful establishment was with their Kringle. First of all - there is always a sampler of a flavored Kringle on the counter. Flavor combos galore. Order the night before and pick up in and out fast. Hats off to this spot for their cleanliness. And friendliness. Worst birthday cake ever! No flavor not even vanilla flavoring or the taste of chocolate at all in the chocolate buttercream or cake. If was like eating idk maybe crisco one bite and that was it so much for this being the first birthday cake my husband has gotten me. I've tried over and over again to give Supreme the benefit of the doubt .. my Grandma used to order all of our cakes here so it has fond memories, BUT I think I am officially done. The cakes themselves are good, but every time I have tried to order a cake for a special occasion, they seem to get snippy with me. Once, it was over my engagement cake. They refused to write "Happy Engagement" on the cake because they claimed it was "inappropriate" and proper etiquette dictates that the cake should say "Best Wishes". I told them it was my $, and I wanted what I wanted. They refused, so I took my business elsewhere. Two years later, we decided to give them a try again. The cake was supposed to have a New Mexico theme (with the state symbol), but they just put dots all over the cake. It looked fine for what it was, but it was not what was agreed upon. I called a week ago to order my daughter's birthday cake, I asked for mermaids and starfish. The woman told me that they would only do one mermaid on the cake, and it would be on a rock, no exceptions. I'm not sure why it's so important that the mermaid is on a rock? Seemed weird to me. I told her I wanted multiple mermaids depicted (I have two daughters, and I knew that they would fight over the mermaid!), and I said I don't care if they're perfect, I just want more than one. They still refused. I hope that they're successful enough to just turn away business like that ... I don't know if they're just uppity, or lazy and no one there is skilled enough to free hand cakes. Either way, my family won't be using you anymore ... which is a shame, because we've been buying cakes from you since the 60s! read more
