No "hi, hello, good morning," just the total. I waited a few more minutes and then the same employee opened the window and handed out my food without a word. I thanked him for the food and he just closed the window. The customer service was completely absent from the transaction. I don't expect a full conversation, but a simple greeting at the window or "you're welcome" when I got my food would have been nice. I also thought the (at least) 10-minute wait for an almost $14 after tax açaí bowl was a bit much, but I usually don't mind if the food and service is adequate. Not sure if the employees were just having a rough day, but the experience was disappointing at best and at 7 AM it has the potential to set the tone for the rest of a customer's day.
