Great experience at this KK today! I stopped by first thing in the morning and got doughnut holes. The service was fast and courteous and the donut holes were AMAZING. The young lady at the window was very nice and even took the time to tell me where to find good gas that wasn't over priced like Casey's general store. She explained where to go and what to look for. This has happened a few times now- this location really likes to close 10-30 minutes before they're supposed to. They don't stay open as long as their website/google/yelp says they do. I feel like they should really just close at nine if they're gonna close up shop early so often. read more

Fall 2022 donut flavor review: Maple pecan cheesecake (top right): the icing has a good pecan flavor and the topping is nice. Can't taste the donut very much and the filling was gross. Spiced apple filled (top left): tasted just like any other apple hand-pie and there wasn't much filling. Pumpkin spice cake (bottom right): best of the 5 flavors. The cake was well spiced and the icing added a nice sweet aftertaste. Apple fritter (bottom left): not much flavor, very generic pastry. I saw the light was on and decided to get a fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut. I had my husband in the car and we pulled in and I said can I get two fresh hot donuts? My family has done this ever since we were kids that you get a fresh donut for free when the light is on I only have about six dollars to pay gas. I pull in the drive-through and the lady says four dollars for the two donuts I am just a girl so I said OK and handed her my card. she takes it and charges me. Then another lady opens the window. my husband caught the mistake and said that's not right. I only had two dollars for gas at this point. so we went back in and he said I need my refund. They also tried to cover this up with two more donuts. That should just be free. so anyways, we go in and get the refund but yet it was still difficult and we had to give her our other two donuts from the car. I was doing postmates and picking up and order and went through the drive through and my postmates card declined and I didn't know why and she apologized to the guy helping me and he ran it a couple more times before getting the manager and the manager proceeded to tell me I needed to leave because my card wasn't working so I got my card and parked to find out the problem. Been a couple years since I have been to this location and they did not disappoint. My kids love to watch the donuts being made, and greeted with a warm fresh glaze donut! Staff were very friendly and prompt taking our order and getting it processed. They also have plenty of seats if you want to enjoy a coffee and donut in house and read the morning paper. Poor selection, I've been there 4 times, left frustrated & empty handed 3 of those times. They have multiple trays of a small variety of donuts while zero trays of common menu donuts. Went to nationwide donut chain 1 block away with each bad visit, they always stock a full variety of common menu donuts. The hot-n- ready donut is the only saving grace. This place might be depressing, but it hits the spot. The plain glazed are plain magic. I would caution you to go inside and buy them though so that you have to face a real person as you make an extremely unwise health decision. A solid doughnut shop. Despite being a national chain, the fact is its the best doughnuts in town. I would prefer to support local businesses, but the local competition isn't up to the challenge. St. George and Ray's are just bad, and Hurts doughnut tries, but is just a second rate knock off of Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland Oregon. So stick to Krispy Kreme. While Krispy Kreme is not my favorite donut on the planet, they have a good thing going. Convenient hours and a clean, nicely decorated lobby. Good product for those who want to indulge. I do like the blueberry cake donuts, which are not available at the other Springfield, MO location (on Glenstone). This store on Campbell is better in every possible way. Their biggest strength is the friendly staff who really seem to get into the Krispy Kreme thing, making everyone's visit special and handing out hot donuts when the light is on. Went here and got a dozen donuts, 3 specialty donuts a regular coffee and 2 iced coffees. Spent 22 bucks. Everything was fresh and delicious. Even got a free glazed doughnut while waiting in line. Seriously, there isn't anything better in this world than a warm krispy kreme glazed doughnut. The chocolate topped cream filed doughnuts were super sweet and so good, cinnamon roll, yum, apple fritter, yum and the list goes on and on. Now I know this isn't a gourmet doughnut shop and there are better doughnuts across the land, however this is Springfield Missouri and these doughnuts taste good. It's really awesome you can see the process of the donuts being made on a conveyor belt. The staff is very friendly and the restrooms are clean. I have to knock off two stars though because nearly every time we go in the tables are filthy.
