Looked it up on yelp, Low and behold.....found this real deal barbershop that gives a great cut, smooth tunes and insight on anything/everything Boston area. I walked into this place on a Saturday and waited for about 45 minutes to get my hair cut (which never happened, I just walked out). During this time I witnessed the barbers socializing with customers while random people walking in from the street would drop by and say 'what's up!' to the barbers. One of the barbers was drinking a beer while cutting a customer's hair -- the customer had brought a six pack with him (and sounded like he already had a few cold ones in him). There was a line of people sitting and waiting to get hair cuts, but the barbers would take 10 minute McDonalds breaks between haircutting sessions. These guys seemed 'very cool' with the customers who are probably bros with the barbers. I walked out after 45 minutes after I realized that it was taking them a very long time to administer a single haircut due to the tv watching, chitchat, fast food munching, beer drinking, and exchange of secret handshakes with their homeboys out front. If you know these barbers, it's probably a cool place to hang out for 2 hours while getting a 'ill trim,' but I will never walk into this place again. Maybe I'm too focused on efficiency, or maybe I was neglected for not being hip enough, but this place isn't for everyone. read more

I got a line up done and I gave the barber $20 with tip. I left for less than like 5 mins and I hated my line up, so I called and asked if he can shave it all off. He said that's a totally different charge for something so simple that I already paid for. So he wanted me to pay $30 for a totally weird line up and then to shave it off. WTF. The owner still cuts, and damn good (he cuts my hair). Music, tv's, conversation. The first time I sat and waited I felt like I had been there a hundred times. Very chill. I came in off the street and into a well lit and modern decorated barbershop. There were four barbers hard at work when I arrived on Friday night, and there were several guys waiting to get their hair cut. This was a good sign. Upbeat music and movies playing on the TVs helped the wait pass by quickly. There were also plenty of magazines available. My cut was precisely executed and neat. I never do anything complicated, but I could tell that from the other guys the barbers can handle any mens cut you throw at them. A straightedge neck shave rounded out the experience. I must have gone in when they're busy (2 in chairs, 2 waiting for their cuts), but I had the same experience as Tomasz. The barbers took forever with the cuts they were working on, chatting with everyone who came jn. I waited nearly 90 minutes while they took a kid who got there after I, and wasted time. If you don't take appointment on Saturday then you should remove Saturday from the list of Available Appointments. Regardless when I made the Appointment. A appointment was made because it showed available. Being Professional would of resulted in a response of "I'm sorry for the communication error on my booking". People make appointment based on the availability. I left your shop and made another appointment but the difference from professional and unprofessional is the other shop had no issue with honoring it. The guy who cut my hair (I VERY clearly asked for a TRIM) ignored what I said and gave me the most f*cked up cut I have ever had. I've had my haircut from almost every barber at one point here. All skilled in their own rights. This is an old school barber shop. What does that mean? You're not always gonna walk in and out in 25 mins with a cut. They take the time to get the cut right while also shooting the shit with everyone in there. This place is always filled with regulars getting a cut or just passing by to say hello. I feel bad for the people giving this place a bad review bc they are used to a boring chain cut with zero personality. I just moved to the area and found this place on a Saturday am google search. Walked right in without a wait to a solid hair cut for $12. Barbers are local guys and they are pretty chummy with a lot people coming or going but it didn't effect my time or cut. They are real barbers working in a community, this ain't super cuts, I recommend them and will return when I can't the top of my ears. read more

I recently gave this place a second chance because I needed a quick cut before an interview. Big mistake. Both times I had to wait an excessive amount of time despite there being multiple barbers and only one customer at the time. It seems like the employees here spend the majority of the time hanging out with each other and ignore any customer that isn't one of their friends. During the cut my barber took multiple breaks to talk to his friend and gave off the general vibe like I was wasting his time. If you're friends with someone that works here I'm sure this is a great place to kill a few hours, but I'd stay away if you're a newcomer. After many moves and many barbershops, it's literally the only place I've ever felt uncomfortable enough to sign up for yelp to warn others about. The first time I went here I was halfway through getting my hair cut when the barber got a text from his mechanic and told me he had to check on his car. I sat with half a haircut for at least 5 minutes while he was gone. I decided to give the place another shot since there isn't too much else around here. There was a big line of young boys with their parents, waiting to get their haircuts. I took a seat in the corner and looked around, noticing how filthy the place was. Both of the barbers were busy stuffing their faces with pizza and everyone seemed to be on a bit of a break. I really needed a haircut so I decided to wait it out. I was really hoping they would wash their greasy hands before starting to cut hair again, but indeed some young boys hopped up in the chairs and they started to cut their hair without washing up first. Even worse was watching the two portly barbers start cutting hair WHILE CONTINUING TO EAT PIZZA! At that point I had had enough and walked out. read more

My family and I were visiting the area for my brothers football camp. He was in desperate need of a haircut and we found this place online. My brother took a picture in of what he wanted and they did it exactly like the picture. My brother has weird hair and is a hard cut sometimes but the guy did a great job and cut his hair perfectly!
