First time at the shop found my new barber didn't have an appointment and was taken right in. Go see Mike if you want nothing but the best service. Got a haircut and a wet towel shave and some black mask facial treatment!! Great location and a great vibe, you will not be disappointed. read more

Honest to God one of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten. I've been a Marine for 5 years, which means weekly haircuts in some occasionally quite bad areas for about as long as I can remember. Asked for a low skin fade, specifying I wanted the fade to begin level with the bottom of my ears. Barber proceeded to obliterate any trace of hair up to the top. After the barber spent a good 45 minutes absolutely devastating my hair, he then smiled and asked me for $40. I would genuinely recommend you take your chances with a Manscaped in the mirror over going here again. In all fairness, the other barbers might be competent. But dude furthest from the door will never see me again. read more

I went in on a Saturday morning. it is located near Harvard square so it is conveniently located. There were two barbers so I did not have to wait. They cut it one one the sides and three on the top. Just the way I like it. They even trimmed my eyebrows. It two months when I need another haircut, I will be sure to return. read more

Intentionally double booked my haircut and then told me I was wrong after I complained for waiting 45 min for a haircut.

do not go there for shaving! I've got a lot of cuts. Completely unprofessional, and it's not really clean. read more

Decent haircut but he completely ignored my requests and did his own thing. I asked for a taper with a half inch off the top. Mo gave me a number 5 machine razor all around with no taper and took more than half the length off the top of my head. It took less than 15 minutes and it costs 40$, that seems a little unreasonable to me, especially when you're not getting what you want. I had a schedule appointment with Ayoub, but they said some man named Mo would cut my hair, again, he didn't do a bad job, but it wasn't what I scheduled nor asked for. Also, it seemed like there was a homeless guy just chilling in one of the seats watching, what's up with that? The comment about the homeless man had nothing to do with race. He came in with a ripped up shirt, dozed off in one of the waiting chairs and then left without getting a haircut. He was clearly not a customer and it just seemed unprofessional. Also, the owner replied to this review saying that I was no longer welcome in the shop, so beware that it isn't a very friendly environment for newcomers. read more

Great haricuts at a reasonable price. My teenage son and I each got haircuts from Othmane (mine a classic cut, my son's a fade). We were both extremely satisfied with our clean, fresh cuts. And Othmane was a positive, fun conversationalist. He has great local resaurant recommendations -- and, further afield, tips on travel to Morrocco. Also love the music they play! read more

Went for a pretty standard haircut. Barber couldn't speak English so couldn't communicate with him on anything. Left half of my hair uncut and had to get it fixed by my roommate after. Was really disappointing, will not be returning. read more

Didn't get what I asked for. Showed the guy a picture, and he still just did whatever he wanted. He gave me a haircut that hasn't been in style since 1960. I look ridiculous. Here's the thing. You have to go to a professional salon. You have to pay the $100. These cheap places are cheap for a reason. They don't know what they're doing. So I blame myself really. I was in Harvard Square, I didn't feel like making an appointment. Fine, gave these guys another shot, even though I knew they suck. It's on me. But seriously, this is a place for cheap dorks who think a free bottle of water is "high end". read more

They ignore what you ask for (length, how you want sides and back done, etc.), and it's a very rushed experience. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, rather than a more normal 30-40. It doesn't look atrocious, but was cut way too short and isn't what I asked for at all. read more

Showed up for my 9:00 an appointment and the place was closed. The barber showed up at 9:07. By 9:17 I was finished. At $30 plus tip this was very expensive for a 10 minute service that started late. Haircut was fine. read more

Jake is a fantastic barber and his new place is terrific. I started getting my hair cut with him before he opened Atlas, and he does such a good job I followed him to his new location. He gives an excellent haircut at a cheap price ($20!), and he is kind and easy to talk to. Atlas Barber Shop is in a great location on Eliot St, and it is clean, spacious, and comfortable. For an affordable, high quality haircut with no appointment necessary, Atlas is the place to go. read more

Atlas Barbershop is the best barbershop in Cambridge. I attend the Kennedy School and have been going to Atlas for over a year now. The service is top-notch and the barbers are kind, focused and have strong attention to detail. Jake, the shop owner, is an incredible guy with a lot of fun and insightful life experiences to share. The unique Moroccan interior design is unlike anything I've ever seen from a barbershop - a vision and sight to behold. 6/5 stars. read more

Atlas is the only place to go! Perfect haircut every time, I get compliments for weeks. Additionally- it's got a unique vibe that is welcoming and cool- I finally feel like I have a barber shop that I belong to, like in the movies. Incredibly kind, skilled people who will make you look great and keep you excited to come back. Great prices too and right in Harvard Square. Look no further! read more

Ayoub is a wizard of hair. Great customer service and one of the more reasonable prices in the square ($25 for a haircut). The Moroccan tea is great! read more

Maybe I caught them on an off day, but my experience was nothing like other reviews described. The barber couldn't have seemed any less interested in cutting my hair. The haircut was rushed even though the place was totally empty. When I asked him to take a little more off the side (like it showed in the picture he quickly glanced at), he made a couple more snips to satisfy me and then moved on. At no point did it seem like I was being listened to. As for the actual haircut, I would've been better off bud letting my hair grow out. I sincerely hope nobody else has had this type of ex read more

Atlas Barber Shop was recommended to me when I first moved to Cambridge in August and after I got my first haircut there by the owner, Ayoub, I was sold! It was arguably one of the best haircuts I have ever received, and to make the whole experience even better, I was offered complimentary espresso and water, the shop is in an incredibly convenient location, the price is reasonable, and Ayoub is a great guy. Amazing customer experience, highly recommend! read more

Great spot! Service is always good and Ayoub knows how to hook up a great haircut. Highly recommend.

Atlas is a great, reliable spot to get a haircut. I came here for 2 years and always left happy. Ayoub truly cares about the business and he treats each guest like his own family. read more

Consistently a positive experience - from scheduling to walking out with a fresh cut. I miss the California barbershops and this comes pretty close with the availability for walk-ins, conversations, feel-good atmosphere, and cash only practice. If I know I'll be pressed for time, I go online and book my appointment. Have not had any issues with delays. If it's more of a weekend running errands type of day that includes a haircut, I'll just walk in and see if any of the barbers are available. I've had cuts by the owner and two other guys (one was only there temporarily) and I can't complain about any. Each has their style but all are good about understanding what I want the end product to look like. I've also gone in to just get my edges cleaned up and the price for this is also reasonable. Even after moving further away, I come back to this place for the service. I've also brought my partner here when they're in town. Also planning on showing this spot to an old friend who used to live here for college many years ago & was telling me about all the good spots -- it'll be nice to be the one to say, hey this barbershop is good and a queer friendly space, welcome back to town! Ever since I have been at HBS, I have been going to Atlas, and so have most of my friends at school. Everyone at Atlas is chill and knows their craft like no one else in this area. If you want a consistentlty reliable great cut at a fair price look no further than Atlas. Their online appointment system is also highly efficient and makes for a great user experience. Always looking forward to my next haircut at their shop, they never disappoint. Highly recommend. read more

I've been coming here as a regular for the past 1.5 years, and it's the best haircut in the area by far. I always look forward to hanging out with the guys in the shop. They take their craft very seriously, but also remember your face + your story. Always a good day when I head into Atlas! Highly recommend stopping in and checking it out. read more

I got a haircut from Ayoub. He asked me what I wanted and gave me a perfect haircut. He is always very polite and always offers tea or coffee. I'm a student around here and he's the only barber I've been to because he does such a great job. read more

I received an excellent haircut today from Latif. I asked him for a low fade, and he delivered - this cut is crispy and clean. I also had the opportunity to see him showcase his skills with the client in front of me, whom he gave a flawless bald fade. Latif was efficient yet meticulous with the clippers and sheers. The shop itself was warm and lively - there was beautiful Moroccan music playing from the speakers, and I was greeted with a piping hot espresso and a water. If you are looking for a quality cut at a reasonable price, in a warm environment, check these guys out! read more

Best haircut in Cambridge hands down!!! Latif is the absolute man!!!! Great haircut and fantastic, friendly service every time!!!

This was the first place I got a haircut in Boston when I moved here, and I never looked back. Ayoub is extremely talented, and an incredibly nice and fun guy. I started getting my hair cut at Atlas Barbershop after moving to Cambridge this summer, and have been unbelievably impressed with Ayoub's ability to cut hair. He can style cuts in many different ways, whether that be a fade, a longer style, or a shorter all-scissors cut like I prefer. I would suggest Ayoub to anyone looking to get their hair cut, and can whole heartedly say he is one of the best barbers I have ever had. read more

Great cuts, great barber, great prices - highly recommend, best barber around harvard square!
