Not only does Perfect Style feature a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere, the people there are very friendly. The HD TV mounted on the wall doesn't hurt things, either! While the perks are good, the primary reasons for going to Perfect Style are the superior workmanship and the affordability. My hair had been overgrown by several months when I walked into Perfect Style. When I left, I looked like a new person. The attention to detail given to me by Jake was incredible. I've unfortunately paid upwards of $30 for haircuts that didn't come out half as good and precise as the cut I got at Perfect Style. I keep mentioning price, so you're probably wondering how much the haircut was already. $10. I kid you not. Ten. One Zero. I was in disbelief when I learned that a "perfect style" haircut was only $10. At first, I was kind of nervous going into the situation. After all, the phrase "Ten Dollar Haircut" isn't exactly an endearing one. However, despite paying $10 for the haircut, I left with a "Fifty Dollar Haircut". I don't know how they do it. I almost felt guilty leaving the place, having only paid $10 for such an outstanding experience (although I did give Jake a good tip to help make up for it). You just don't find service like this anymore. The cuts are great, the prices can't be beat, and the barbers are very friendly. There are tons of magazines to read, an HDTV mounted on the wall, and some pretty awesome speakers to go along with it. I have never seen the attention to detail that is put into a cut by these guys. I would go there more often if it wasn't such a pain to get to from my apartment. If you do go: BE SURE to make an appointment. This place gets BUSY! This place is great! Both James and Greg are great barbers. They give the time and attention you deserve. All of that for $ 10. Yes! Hard to believe, right? I tip them generously each time I go there. Now, don't get fooled by the low price. I know, what has happened to this world, right? If things are cheaper we question the quality. If a good haircut is what you want, the quality here is the best. Low price and quality haircut. So you can expect this place to be busy. Aight, here's the run down. I've been on the hunt for a good barber without breaking the bank for a long time. My hair grows out FAST, and I need a cut every two weeks. Anything pushing it is asking for trouble. At first, I was kind of iffy of giving this place a shot because I guess the general rule of the thumb is: if you're Asian, go to an Asian barber/stylist. So eff it, I gave this place a shot, been here about 4 times, and I left every time feeling super satisfied. I've been only going to James for the 4 times, and every time is a quick cut, done the way I want it, and some barber shop talks about basketball. TL;DR: A grown man hair cut is $10. This place is experienced and laid back, I always get my hair done by Greg but both of the barbers their are just great at what they do! The environment is a home type feeling with TV's and music. Walked in here a little after 11am on a Sunday during a snowstorm having no idea what to expect. I just moved to the area and needed a barber but there were so many on Yelp I chose these guys (at the time of writing there were no bad reviews). I sat down and waited, both Greg and James greet you like you're a regular and you just wait your turn. I didn't have an appointment but it was relatively slow in the morning. I got in the chair in about 20 minutes. They play sports on large TVs over the chairs so being a sports fan can definitely help the time go by easily. As for the haircut I was astonished at how excellent it was. I'm a white male with wavy hair and I've been to many barbers where a fade is a short clip and razor job but Greg took his time. He critiqued my choice of fade and recommended I go with a High and Tight instead of a regular - so I trusted his opinion and it came out great. Greg spent at least half of the time cleaning up all the corners of my hair and making sure it came out A+. These guys are one of the best barbers I've ever been to and I recommend you give them a shot. It's a great feeling to have your barber work with you for the same price as a shave up. The prices are really transparent and are written on a board next to the table. Unless you're getting some design the prices are static and wont change. They offer walk-ins but they recommend you make an appointment. I'll absolutely be calling to book an appointment next time. Make sure you tip. I gave $5 on a $10 haircut cause I've paid for $10 haircuts and they are little in comparison to how great the service was. But it would be normal to put on $4 at the least. read more

I have been getting my hair cut by James for over a year now and I have to say, the atmosphere is amazing. You're always greeted with smile. We always talk, usually about travel, and I've never been comfortable to just sit there and talk to a barber the whole time. One day they had the door open, and every person who walked by was addressed by Mr or Mrs, how are you doing, it seemed like James and Greg knew them all. My boy Greg is a hard working dude. Not only is the place open til 8 (great for 9-5ers) but he takes his time to make sure you get what you want. TV's mounted for viewing. Last time I was there, a family of five came in half hour before close and he said he'd stay late to get em done. He deserves double what he charges....$10? A barbershop that is open Sunday! A barbershop that takes appointments because they "don't want you to have to wait!" A barbershop that charges $10 for a flat top that takes almost a half hour! I agree with the Yelper above who says you don't get service like this anymore. I walked over a mile to get here today in the pouring rain. The customer before me said "I drove from Maine to come here!" It's that kind of place. After a downright harrowing experience at another barber earlier in the day, I have to say that I could not recommend Perfect Style more. The owner Greg did a great job on my flat top. When I wanted it a little shorter, he obliged so politely. This guy rocks! If there's a downside to this place, it might be that it's a little inconvenient to get to, but it's on the 99 and 106 bus lines and it's not that far a walk from Malden Station when it's not pouring, but I would walk in the pouring rain again.
