Good experience. First time customer. SSC did the diagnosis when they said they would. Diagnosis made sense. Quote seemed somewhat high but not crazy. SSC made sure we used a quality part that I requested. Part showed up and installed and tested and repair completed when promised. Pretty good communication by text but I personally would have preferred a few more text updates, but that could also be me. It has been about one week and the repair seems to be working. In summary the price might be higher than other shops but if the repairs are done as promised and correctly then it might be worth it. read more

Went here about a year ago for my ac going out in the summer . Was quoted about 3500 for the compressor , condenser , & labor . I have a Mercedes A220 btw. ( I should've have just went to Mercedes ). I had to return to the shop about 3 times due to my ac that was "fixed" going out again... No accountability no nothing. Kept saying that it's weird that it's doing that. Fast forward a year later it's doing the same thing... just frustrated. Conveniently it past a little over the warranty and it took a shit. read more

Had my Ac compressor "fixed" & it went out again for the second time. Its not the heat, they didn't do there job right the first time

I took my 2015 Fiat 500 here out of desperation (and because of a horrible experience with Sun Devil Auto this summer) when my car wouldn't start for a week. I dropped my car with Brian who I literally cannot thank enough. My car was having issues (Because old and because I wasn't keeping up enough with maintenance I think). I dropped it off on Friday the 19th and he called me the very next Monday with a thorough assessment of what was wrong. Along with his timeliness of help (despite it being holiday season), he called me and gave me a full run down with pricing and explanation which was also emailed to me in a quote (I am not a car guy! I am just a girl). What I appreciated the most about his help was that he was incredibly honest with me. He told me that, rather than spend my good money paying $5k for repairs, it would be wiser to trade my car in and get a new, more reliable vehicle. It's hard hearing that I need to go car shopping (was not on my Christmas to-do list), but as someone who does not have anybody in my life who can help me with car problems, I really am so grateful for his help and advice. He got my car fixed just enough to run safely to a dealer for a trade in, and that's exactly what I did. The dealer only took it for $500 too!! Brian was right on the money with his recommendation and now I am driving a new, reliable vehicle that I will be bringing into SSC for maintenance and whenever I need help in the future! Thank you SO much to Brian and team, and happy holidays! read more

TLDR - fair price, great service, will return. I took my '21 Audi S7 into SSC for its 70k mile service and the fellas over there made it a breeze. Quick guestimate quote before I committed to the diagnosis and the quote ended up being very fair. I ended up replacing my spark plugs, cabin & engine air filters, and a rear differential fluid change. Dropped the car off at 8 and it was ready for me at 3. It truly couldn't have been easier and I'll be going back for my future services. read more

Go in for emission purpose, left out very disappointed with the outcome extremely high service pricing provide, lack of transparency & finding out that the Vapor Canister Emission Purge Valve Solenoid broke off no longer secured it's hoses where was unattached. I shouldn't be finding damaged that didn't exist after I've brought it in undisturbed just real sloppy work? read more

I am super impressed and grateful to SSC Auto Repair for the work they did through the Arizona VVRP Voluntary Vehicle Repair Program. My mid 90's Jeep initially failed emissions and I registered for VVRP. These guys solved the problem. The car runs more smoothly than in a long time and passed emissions with really low numbers. Thank you! read more

Got charged for a full car diagnostic and ended up finding out there was a broken part left out. I had to pop open my back seat to find out. Also, I come and pick up my car with a cut up wire from my back bass audio. read more

Really hate to update this review as I had such a pleasant experience last time but this week was not that. My car was held for two days with no updates until I reached out- then I was charged $87 for double sided tape. Additionally, my ask for an alignment was completely ignored. Did not feel valued at all. read more

Called to ask a few questions and whoever I talked to was very rude. I don't know what his problem or maybe he was having a bad day, but I asked two questions and got two sassy remarks back. read more

TERRIBLE!!! ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! I took my car in twice in the same week to fix a loud popping sound and the car jerking when I turn sharply. They worked on it twice, charged me over $1200, and didn't fix the issue. The guy then said he was sorry they didn't meet my expectations and suggested I try taking it somewhere else to get it fixed. read more

This is a great shop to go to for regular maintenance or big repair jobs... Everytime I stop in for an oil change or something simple I get a full analysis of how my car is doing. Im not very car savvy but Adam always explains everything in words I can understand. My car is over 125k miles, all my maintenance has been done here and my car runs basically the same as when I bought it. read more

friendly and did a great job explaining what needs to be done. I really like the fact they include pics of issues and give recommendations on what can be done. read more

Fabulous service every time we take our cars there. Fixed right the first time . I've worked in Automotive myself for over 25 years at desrlerships. I still recommend SSC Auto over any dealership five star amazing every single service. read more

Went to the SSC in Gilbert....same guys own both. Needed a ECM for my 16 year old jeep to pass emissions. That's an expensive part so the estimate was $2800, which is still better than car payments so I told them to proceed. When it was ready to be picked up he called and told me that he'd found a used ECM and my bill was now less than half of that! OMG, how awesome that he was able to save us so much money! He says doing right by people for 30 years keeps them in business. I'd say so. Friends for life! Go to these guys....can't recommend them enough! read more

Dropped off vehicle with my daughter for a check engine light and quick inspection. They mistook us for fools they called with over$3500 in repairs on a vehicle we just drove from Texas and it runs . I had a estimate in Texas but was heading home so figured to get it done by the house. Beware of the greedy service man. Will have work done and have thousands of dollars in my pocket. GET A SECOND OPINION..... They also didn't put lugnuts back on rear wheel after rotation of tires? Bad customer experience read more

If you can make it past the initial phone call and how big of an ass the guy is on the phone, you might get something accomplished. We know exactly what is needed with the vehicle and we were calling for a 2nd opinion and quote. He wouldn't do anything or quote anything without us paying $50. Not even a quote!!! Lots of good auto shops around. These guys don't know how to earn the business. read more

Extremely trustworthy. I would trust their word on any issue. I've been to a lot of places and they are the only ones who I don't feel like their trying to sale to me. read more

I did not end up getting my truck fixed because of the age of the truck and the cost of the repair but it was a good diagnostic, thorough.

I made several mistakes in taking my car to SSC Auto Repair. I assumed that an independent shop would be cheaper than the VW dealer. Wrong! Second, I did not get a second opinion as to the cause of the two fluid leaks under my car. Dumb! Third, I did not ask for the used parts to verify that they were bad. Double dumb! SSC replaced a water pump on my 2010 VW Eos, charging me $376 for the pump and $17 for a fitting. SanTan VW (the DEALER!) would have charged me $297 ($237 wholesale) plus $8 for the fitting. So SSC marked the pump up almost 30% over retail and almost 60% over wholesale. Ouch! SSC also marked a high pressure fuel pump up from the VW dealer's $363 ($290 wholesale) to $521... 30% over retail and a whopping 65% over wholesale. Wow! As to the second and third things I did wrong...by not asking for the old parts, I don't know if the leaks were simply gaskets or fittings that had gone wrong. Another repair shop might have told me differently...and fixed things much more cheaply. So, I'm an idiot and I got screwed by not doing my research. Oh well. I won't be back. But it tells me two things you can't argue about. They mark their parts up way more than a dealer and that you can't always trust the positive social media input. Get a couple of opinions, regardless. And let's not even talk about the $50 "diagnosis fee" which was NOT WAIVED on a $1,750 repair.... OR..... $117 labor to replace a fuel pump that a guy on YouTube can do in 20 minutes. read more

I am very pleased with the service and integrity of this auto repair shop. I had my front brakes and rear struts replaced and a transmission flush done on my Civic. I left very happy knowing that I was truly taken care of and was quoted a very affordable price by very friendly and professional staff. Another thing that happened- I took my car to another shop for a basic oil change. They called me letting me know that my car was finished and ready to be picked up. They also told me that 5 different fluids were dangerously low and that my engine was going to catch on fire. I decided to take my car into SSC Auto Repair to get a second opinion and after their technician looked at it, told me that everything was perfectly fine. I absolutely trust SSC with my vehicle and will not be taking it to any other place. Thank you guys for all of your honesty, because that is so rare to find these days! read more

This car service shop is a joke!! My vehicle was diagnosed with over $3500 worth of repairs that they claimed "it needed to be done". After they ripped me off, I took it to another mechanic shop to look at and they stated that the parts were not replaced!! And the vehicle was still not properly fixed!! Save your money and go somewhere else!!! read more

Came here when I started feeling some rattling in my steering wheel while driving on the freeway and at slow speeds. Adam inspected my vehicle thoroughly and diagnosed the issue correctly. The repairs were completed same day and the car was ready to go by the time I got off work. Adam was very helpful in sorting out what was necessary to repair now versus monitor and take care of at a later time. I recommend this auto repair shop to anyone in need of repairs (beyond basic oil change & tire rotation maintenance). read more

After two year years this auto repair is still at the top of my list. I refer everyone to this shop and they always come through with fair, honest, work. Thanks Adam and Scott for being an awesome auto repair shop. read more

The most amazing thing just happened!!! Nice people really do exist!! My husband just picked up our truck from SSC Auto Repair. Adam, the shop owner, was awesome and VERY fair with his pricing and sensitive to our situation. We've been having problems with our truck for a while and weren't too sure who we could trust with it that wouldn't charge us an arm and a leg. The mechanics are great and took the time needed to look at our truck and address the problem. I'm soooo happy we choose to go back to Adams shop! Please visit his shop (either in Gilbert or Chandler) if you need vehicle work done! read more

We took our Infiniti to the dealer and they told us two separate times that it needed a Serpentine belt because it was dry and cracking. We have used SSC once before and were pleased with the service and honesty. Adam called to let us know that the Serpentine belt was find, it was not dry or cracked. With so many repair shops trying to drain you of all your $$, we highly recommend you try SSC if you haven't already. Finding an honest mechanic is great! read more

You can truly trust these guys. They're honest and they always deliver on their word. Adam is very helpful and explains repairs so that you know exactly what your options are. I've sent friends to him who were getting screwed by other mechanics and he took care of them at less than half the price. I highly recommend SSC Auto Repair. read more

No matter what the problem or when it happens these guys are always there to help! I drive older vehicles cannot afford a new car. Because of the exceptional work that this company does all of my vehicles have over 100000 Mi some even almost 200000 and still run like they're brand new! I have to give it to this company they are honest, reliable, dependable, and I know when I drive away my car has had the best care possible! I highly recommend this company!! read more

I recently had my 20111 Mitsubishi Galant repaired at SSC in Chandler, and can't rave more regarding their professionalism and ability to diagnose and correct the issues that I was having with the car. Initially, had to get a total rebuild of the original engine done back in the fall of 2019 by Arizona Engine Rebuilding (A DIFFERENT COMPANY DON'T EVER GO THERE). It was such a bad experience, and terrible work. The car ran horribly, made noises, smelled of fuel, and would not pass emissions. Upon bringing it to SSC, Adam was very understanding and informative. The technicians diagnosed and remedied several problems, and now the car rides, sounds, and feels like new. I enjoy driving it again and decided to keep it for the time being. I recommend SSC with complete faith, and will only go there for repairs in the future. read more

My AC went out and I needed and oil change brought it to SSC it's now working better than new. Turns out the AC just needed a simple tune up and it's now ice cold!! No upsells they were straight to the point and had me out the door in no time! read more

So I just called 20 min. ago to get a quote on labor times. The person I was speaking stated that they don't give quotes without seeing the vehicle. I can understand that to a degree but I also know they use a flat rate system. So there is a set labor rate. I was a mechanic for a long time (I don't have time to do the repairs myself nor have the space). So when they told me I would need to get my truck there before they could give me labor times for a few basic labor rates was really off putting. By the way they are the only ones that operate like that that I've found. So it makes me think they just make up labor times as they go. Because when I was a mechanic a certain job had a set time. It didn't matter if it took me three hours or an hour the job paid a set amount. So I would and recommend finding another shop. They seem like they will rip you off. read more

I needed help with my car, the repair would have taken 5 minuets and I was willing to pay $100, but they just couldn't get to it til tomorrow. I would understand if they were closing in say 15 min, thanks for nothing. read more

Quality, honest repair shop. Excellent customer service too. I highly recommend this shop if your vehicle needs servicing!

I have finally found a trusted auto mechanic where I don't mind taking my car to. Thank you Adam and team.

I will never go anywhere else to get my oil changed! I appreciated that the technician took the time to check my brakes and other things before he finished changing the oil, just so I would be aware of regular maintenance I would need in the future. read more

I have taken both my cars to SSC Auto Repair for the last year. I am very happy with the service I have received. Like other reviewers have said, Adam is easy to talk to and answers all questions I ask him. I have talked to some of the mechanics and they also answer my questions. Adam is also a great resource for referrals. I needed a tow and Adam knew someone; I needed a body shop after a terrible experience with Service King and Adam knew someone. Thank you Adam and the mechanics for your friendly customer service and honesty. read more
