Big facility with multiple lifts and work stations w/ mechanics/technicians busy working. Appreciate the multiple seating options for waiting customers, especially the large window looking into the service bays. Spoke to the mgr while waiting and wanted to have him do specific services on my truck, m4 and s2000 which he reported they could do all that. Very knowledgeable and customer friendly. A tiny hole was found as the cause of the leak - patched and sealed. No charge and we were on our way. They were polite, friendly and expeditious. Forget the dealer and go to Discount Tire.

For the first 15 minutes, a Discount Tire employee looked at my car and did a review. Then, he said my car would be ready in an hour. He said he would text me. I walked over to McDonald's to wait and drink an iced coffee. When the text said my car would be ready in 5 minutes, I walked over to Discount Tire. My car was sitting outside where I parked it. I asked for my keys and said I assume my car is ready since it's sitting outside in the parking lot. An employee looked and couldn't find my paperwork. He proceeded to say they could pull my car in to rotate the tires right then. I said no way. Give me my keys. I waited over an hour and they did nothing. They totally waisted my time. I made an appointment to get an alignment on my car. I was told the service would take about an…read morehour when I booked. When I dropped off the car for the appointment I told the Christine, the service manager, that I'd be waiting and she confirmed "about an hour." I was not told that the tech would spend an hour doing a vehicle inspection that I had no interest in. When I returned after an hour, the shop hadn't even started the alignment. The manager said "the alignment takes less time than the inspection (!) and should only take another 20-30 minutes. 2.5 hours after my appointment my car was finally ready. They did offer a slight discount on the service. I don't care about discounts. I want to hire people that'll do what they say they'll do in the time they commit to. A few bucks off is not worth the aggravation to me, ever. If the manager had been straight with me I would've taken a freaking Uber home and returned when the car was (finally) ready. Instead, Spencer Auto will never see another one of my vehicles. I can't stand overpromising and under delivering. But, hey, at least I know I have a license plate bulb out thanks to the stupid inspection that the manager insists the owner will not waive. I get the gimmick to find other things to repair, but I won't play Spencer's game again. Lame.
