I've been going to discount tires at the scottsdale pavilions for years and have never had an issue. Today I came to the Chandler location for a tire rotation and was told I needed two new tires, and that it would be faster than getting them rotated. I decided to get them and was quoted an hour and 10 minute time frame. After an hour and 15 minutes, my car still was sitting in the lot. After waiting for my turn in line, to find out how much longer it would be, my car was pulled back and I was told 15 minutes. It took another 35 minutes. I had let the sales guy/technician know I had to be at work at 3:00 when I checked in at 1:10. I finally got my car back at 3:00. While waiting, and watching a line of 4 people also standing and waiting, one of the sales guys answered the phone, told someone it was not busy and to bring their car down. Another woman stood in line waiting for over 20 minutes before being helped, meanwhile the guys are selling tires (or so it sounded) over the phone. I understand that things happen, but there is no excuse for 2 tires to take 2 hours. At the very least, give me the estimate and tell me to bring the car back in an hour so I am not sitting and waiting for nothing. read more

Have always had good experiences with the Discount Tire in Gilbert. Not as good an experience at this location. Dropped a tire off at 8AM that had a screw in it. The tire needed to be replaced. They did not have it in stock and said it would be there later that day. The tire arrived at 3PM at the store. I went there at 5:30 and was told I still had 10 cars ahead of my one tire. After some protest, they did the tire right away and I was home shortly after. It seems my one tire fell through the cracks. The Gilbert location never had problems like this. As I was there another customer came in annoyed. Said his vehicle had been there for hours and he never got a text letting him know status. He then looked​ at the bay and they were just finishing his vehicle. This location seems less organized than my years dealing with the Gilbert location. To add to the bad experience, the new tire they sold me is 2 years old according to the date stamp. Likely will not be back to this location. read more

I held off on writing this review, but I can't bite my tongue anymore. Here's my experience with this particular location- I'll start by saying I was so happy when they built this location because we don't have many options in south Chandler. They really came in handy when I was on my way home in my '22 Tesla in September of '25, and I could literally watch my tire pressure going down. They repaired the tire, thankfully, and I was on my way home pretty quickly. Fast forward to the next morning when I woke up to a flat, which caused a problem because I was heading to work. I stopped by and they admitted they made a mistake and would replace the tire at no charge- very generous- thank you! Fast forward to 1/26, and I stopped in to get my pressure checked. They told me all 4 of my tires needed replacing. Wait, what? First of all, my car only had 15k miles on it, and that one tire was only 4 months old! I dismissed them and went to a different tire place for a second opinion where they verified my thought that the tires would be good through the summer. Every time I went to check my pressure from January to June, they told me I needed new tires. Summer arrived and I was ready to replace my tires (two were at 5/32 and probably ok!). The only good thing about this experience is that they matched the quote from Walmart (which I was told had the best prices). I made an appointment for Saturday morning, spent much more time waiting than I wanted to, and was happy driving away with my new tires. Four hours later and after running errands, my tire pressure is still registering low (they told me it would take some time), and one tire looked almost flat. I hustled back there and they agreed that didn't seem right. I spent more time waiting for them to figure it out. They told me the valve stem was leaking and sealed it. Done. Right? NOPE! Monday morning, as I'm headed to work, a different tire is at 10 psi, so I went back. The manager quietly brought me outside so other customers wouldn't figure out what was going on. They pulled it in, said all of the valves were leaking, sealed them, and I was on my way again. Through all of this, the hubcaps that I purchased aftermarket were bent and loose, and I knew I was going to lose them. Today was the day the first one went. This Discount Tire location has cost me time and money and honestly, I even worried about the safety when I put this new set of tires on. It's not like I took my car to a nail salon! This is your area of expertise! I'll finish by saying that my husband took his Kia EV9 in the week after I had my issues. They told him he also needed tires (his 2nd set on a vehicle that has 21k miles) and he trusted them. His tires are highly upgraded and expensive. They ordered and installed the WRONG tires when he went for his appointment- tiny little skinny things. He had to argue that and go back again so they could install what he originally had and ordered/paid for. Sorry, Discount Tire- I trusted you all my adult life, but you are money hungry and incompetent, and I will take my business elsewhere going forward. read more

I did not have a good experience with this location. I just needed air for my tires there was a semi truck where the air station was. For 30-45 mins. I had to wait, and then the person that was supposed to be at the air station wasn't present. I would have face this location a lower rating but a young woman named Jillian was willing to help me. She was so nice, respectful, and went above and beyond. Was not on the air express station but stepped up when the person that was supposed to be there wasn't. THANK YOU Jillian. I appreciate you for serving me along with others. I would have left this on a voice call, I tried to call the discount tires location several times, but no one would answer my call. Thinking that in the event im ever traveling out of town I would still get taken care of, whether I had a flat or something. Today I was turned away from getting air in my tires. The young man that I was speaking to was willing to help me but the manager named Richard said no. It was still 30 minutes from closing so im not sure why Richard was being a Richard. We've always had a very pleasant experience with Discount Tire. I was driving and heard a scraping noise-- pulled over just to realize I had a full on flat tire and was driving on the metal of my rim! I quickly filled the tire back up and we drove to Discount Tire (the tire was flat again by the time we arrived). Serjio was who I spoke with, he was very friendly and helpful. He checked the tread on all 4 of my tires, and apparently CarMax completely screwed me over on my car. They added the wrong tires to my car, and removed the ones that came with it, for some odd reason. The tires were completely shot! Discount Tire was able to replace all 4 tires for under $1,000 and the car was ready in 45 minutes. When I noticed some leftover tire lube on them, another friendly worker scrubbed them for me before I left. A difficult situation made easier by Discount Tire! read more

I scheduled an appointment for 10:45 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 to have my tires rotated. My tires where purchased at Discount Tire in Tempe. For the first 15 minutes, a Discount Tire employee looked at my car and did a review. Then, he said my car would be ready in an hour. He said he would text me. I walked over to McDonald's to wait and drink an iced coffee. When the text said my car would be ready in 5 minutes, I walked over to Discount Tire. My car was sitting outside where I parked it. I asked for my keys and said I assume my car is ready since it's sitting outside in the parking lot. An employee looked and couldn't find my paperwork. He proceeded to say they could pull my car in to rotate the tires right then. I said no way. Give me my keys. I waited over an hour and they did nothing. They totally waisted my time. On July 13, 2026 I went in to get a normal tire rotation, Jacob was my rep who checked me in and walked around my car with me. I noticed when I arrived home a lug nut was missing thus, I received my car back with a lug nut missing. I drove it back to tell Jacob & his initial response was to go check to see if it was in the shop. He comes back and says I didn't come in with it. I mentioned you walked around the car with me, plus I just had my car in to the dealership 2 days prior and they walked me around upon completion. These things are bolted on so tight and need a machine to remove so this isn't adding up. He said he would go check and call me if he found it & if he didn't find he would reimburse me. On Wednesday I called to see if he'd found it and he said no, I told him I've located the lug nut as my dealership was out but referred another one. He then, told me to bring the receipt and he would reimburse me for the lost lug nut. I thought that was fair way to compensate for their error. So, I have contacted my dealership and they located the lug nut so I went to pick it up and bring the receipt back to Jacob. He goes to the back and comes back and precedes to hand me the receipt and tell me he can't do the refund now because the manager is in a meeting. At this point, I've frustrated and I explain how I brought my car in with all the parts and did not leave with all the parts and I've had to drive all over to source the part and now you are telling me you cannot refund me for the lug nut. He says now with attitude that 'he's in a meeting'. The customer service is getting worse by the minute. My entire family brings there cars here and have so for years but they are all men and they rave about Discount Tire. I asked when will the boss be back and he says again with attitude, "I don't it could be 1 hour to hours, I don't know. I left there indicating I would come back towards the close of the day but I am frustrated with the attempt to gaslight me and saying the lug nut was missing that needs a machine to get on and off that it is almost impossible that it just fell off to be missing, despite the rep walking around the car checking it upon me bringing it in. I am beyond frustrated with the service at this location (Gilbert & Riggs). If you value your time, stay far away. I made an appointment thinking it would actually mean something, but they have zero respect for scheduled times. What is the point of an appointment if you're still left sitting there for hours while they ignore the growing crowd in the waiting room? To make matters worse, walk-ins don't stand a chance--they just seem to forget you exist the moment you walk through the door. The manager and the staff are the worst I've encountered. They are dismissive and clearly overwhelmed, but that's no excuse for the lack of professionalism. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone, either; I tried calling multiple times and it just rings off the hook. OMG, it was painful to watch so many people just sitting there waiting while the staff acted like they didn't care. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else that actually respects their customers. They employees are always friendly and service is quick! I typically call ahead to see if the tire I need is in stock/how long the wait may be. They are friendly on the phone as well. I brought in a relative car; she is on a fixed income to replace two front tires. One of the advisors informed me that a stud was broken, and two others would not come off using their tool set at 85 ft of torque. He was clear that if any more broke then I would not be able to drive the car, He advised to get the lug/studs taken care of first. I requested they give a try, and unfortunately, they snapped off. The sent the car next door to brake masters, and I was expecting the worst. I was called that the car was ready, and brake master informed me that Discount tire covered the cost. This was above and beyond, they informed of the risk and even recommended fixing them first. It was 100% my fault and they covered it. I have used this location a few times and my experiences were always positive. They ordered the replacement tire from their distributor and this is when things got a little sideways with the delivery of the tire due to issues with FedEx. I see why this business is busy, I loved it. Got my Supra's tires balanced a few weeks ago but it didn't quite fix the vibration. A couple weeks later (got busy) I made an appointment, I checked in, they tried it again didn't quite do it. So they tried flipping the tires, that worked! But they saw I paid for a service and It didn't get done right the first time (nobody's fault) and they didn't charge me at all for the other two services and their time. They fixed it and handed me my keys with a smile. Not to mention they are great to all their customers and served them at the highest level. It was so welcoming! I love to see that. If you are irritated cause of wheel issues TREAT THESE GUYS GOOD. We need businesses like this around. I don't expect free stuff ever but they had so much integrity it was incredible.
