Had a low tire pressure while in Boone. They took care of us with no notice. In less than an hour of drive up I was back in the road and it only cost $20! Amazingly, witness them helping 2 other groups were they advised them they were good to go without charging them anything. Great people. Will return if I ever need it. read more

Went here to get my tires rotated because my car was shaking a bit once I got up to speed. I set up an appointment with them to look at it. They were very friendly with me and said they would have it fixed up right away. About 20 minutes later they came back and said the tires didn't need rotated and they were going to charge me anything because it would just be stealing from me, one of the tires had an abnormality in it and that's what was causing the shaking. I was very appreciative that they were honest with me and didn't do something that didn't need done just so they could make money. This shop is fantastic! I was traveling from Texas and once we got into Boone my battery went dead overnight. After I found a jump the next morning I drove straight to these guys. All the staff was very helpful and professional. They did several tests on the battery and alternator and reported that I had no measurable problems. The gentleman told me in "jest" that he would be happy to sell me a new battery or alternator but in good conscience out of his ethics and professionalism he could not. He sent me on my way to enjoy the rest of my vacation with my family at no expense. I spent a total of 30 min or less in the shop even though they were very busy. I appreciate the quick service they offered while I was on vacation. It's been several days since this incident and the car is running perfectly. I highly recommend this shop. UPDATE FROM 10/17/24 POST: Arnold, We sincerely apologize for our short comings. Over the 3 week period you described, 2.5 of those weeks we were recovering from a hurricane that cut our community in half. We were trying to help the local people who were in need and also help those who were having car troubles while traveling in to help our community. We truly hope you and your 1964 Corvette find someone that can help you. 8h Reply Arnold B Comer Well, sure enough our area has been in turmoil for the last few weeks, but that absolutely is zero excuse for Jeff just flat-out ignore my text--toward the end of my tolerance level of him--practically begging him to answer 1 question, which was important to me. The 1 time out of about 5 text, which I sent to him, was answered, but the problem is that he answered a previous question that I had sent, and did not even address what I was asking of him. Jeff's message machine says to leave a message, or a text, and he will return the communication effort as soon as possible. Trust me.............if he does not want to return a call, text, or whatever means of communication, he won't. In the business world, if your communication is lacking, your business will suffer. He is definitely a weak link in your business--owner or not. By the way, I have had another C2 specialist since about the time that I brought my "Vette into Jeff. He was in another town and not as convenient, but his estimate for a headlight rebuild was about 1/2 of what Jeff quoted for a new headlight cover and labor. Still, I wanted to do business locally, if I could, but clearly I would not recommend SRS to anyone, despite all of the 5 ratings that you have. I absolutely love these mechanics. I cant even think about anything negative i could possibly say. I've done a fair amount of modification to my car in the 3 years i've lived in boone, and they are the only mechanic in the area that not only works on modified cars, but NEVER charges more than necessary for the work they do. And it is damn good work. They work efficiently, everyone in the shop seems to be knowledgeable, and they are incredibly considerate. This is the only mechanic in the boone/blowing rock area that i would recommend, and i very eagerly recommend them to anyone who needs any job done. These guys are damn good at taking care of ANYTHING (except maybe not transmission work), doing it well, and doing it for cheap. I wish i could give them more than 5 stars because this is really the best mechanic i have EVER been to, fantastic group of mechanics in there. read more

They have been great a few times, but recently I was charged twice the amount I should have for TPMS sensors and I don't know if I can revisit them after this. It's unacceptable to pay $400+ for these sensors that cost around $40 each. read more

My boyfriend and I were stranded here for 5 hours last summer. We were on the way to the beach when my engine completely died. God was in our favor that day when we ended up at SRS. The employees were sooooo great to us. They drove us to the enterprise to get a rental, but when we realized we weren't old enough, they came back and took us back. They checked on us multiple times while waiting for my boyfriends dad to pick us up. They offered to take us somewhere to get lunch, waters, snacks, and could not have been more helpful. The owner is as good as they come. My son hit a deer while visiting his friend in Boone and I called SRS to see if they could look at the vehicle to see if it was safe to drive home back to Washington DC. He was able to see us the same day that I called and gave me a call as soon as he was done with his review. He was incredibly professional, thoughtful, and took the time to explain to me his findings and recommendations. Great Service! I had a small antifreeze leak, and being new to the area I asked for a reputable shop from some of my employees. They told me about SRS and how quick and courteous they were. So, I gave them a call and they said they would get me in Right away. They pointed out to me that it was my water pump and quoted me a fair price. While I had it there I also had them fix my 2 front tires that had small leaks that were a nuisance. I dealt with Jeff and William there.. great guys.
