Not only did they recommend some work to improve the roof, but they found some other items not on the roof (!) that needed repairs and gave a great referral. Every step of the process was well explained and easily done online. A big shout out to Sara, who was very responsive in scheduling matters. The team who came were on time and finished the work cleanly in one day. Their price point is on the higher end, but in exchange we got the peace of mind that the job was being done right. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

We gave them 7 opportunities over the course of an entire year to come out and fix the issue and each time their "fix" made the leaks worse. They gaslighted us consistently saying the roof wasn't the problem and had us chasing down other issues like tuckpointing, plumbing, sliding door replacements etc and nothing helped. The damage eventually got so bad that we needed a restoration company to come open up the ceiling in 3 rooms. We finally hired a second company to do another full replacement and haven't had a single issue since then. TAR refused to take any accountability or refund us any money. All told we are out over $40,000 thanks to TAR.

I contacted Windy City Flat roof first thing on Monday morning and Eli called me back within minutes. They were swamped with calls due to the weather, but he had a crew out to our house within a couple hours. They cleared the snow and ice from our roof and diagnosed the problem. The water stopped, thankfully. And they came back 2 days later to do the recommended repairs. Roofing issues and repairs for me are like taking your car to the mechanic. They tell me what the issues are and what it will take to repair, but I have no clue what they are talking about. All I can say is Eli was SUPER patient with all of our questions and concerns. Roofing work is not cheap, not that it should be. It is dangerous work. And I do believe that you get what you pay for. So, yeah, we laid out some bucks, but the Windy City Flat Roof team was amazing from start to finish. Fast, efficient, and friendly. Can't ask for more than that!

While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The work quality was top notch. I was highly impressed by JJ Construction and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Matt, for a great job.

The Super Roofer team gave us a great evaluation of the our existing flat roof several months back…read more We had gone through several vendors and estimates for the roof work. I appreciate the straight forward and honest opinion by Super Roofer. They suggested on removing a layer or two of the existing material, and performing the full maintenance on the flat roof instead of a complete tear down of the roof. The roof tear down offered by other vendors proved to be not necessary for our situation and it would be more costly. Each roof needs to be reviewed by several vendors so you get an idea of what needs to be done. The team is doing a wonderful job of removing the uneven surfaces below the first and second layers where it was needed. There were areas that were warped before, and nearly all parts of the roof are now even. I appreciate the work they have done by making the rolled material to be very straight and flat to the ground. This looks easier than what most people think and it is not easy if you don't know what you are doing. There was quite a bit of work to replace the existing vents along with fixing the side walls of the roof. They have done a great job. I would recommend them to do work for your residential and commercial roofs.

I worked with Perez Roofing last autumn and wanted to wait a season before I gave a solid review…read more Happy to report all went great with the roof install as we went through an extremely cold winter without any leaks to speak of. Perez is a family business, and I worked with Francisco who was very communicative and up front about all the details of the job. His crew was very hard working and on schedule. The job entailed a complete tear-off our 30-year old roof and reassembly of the broken chimney. The job started with the new materials getting craned in from the street the week prior. The crew waited for a good window in the weather and started demo the following week. The decades of old roofing material were meticulously removed and supposed of, and the quality, salvageable bricks from the chimney were saved and cleaned for reuse. They used a 5-ton dump truck to haul away 4 loads of old roofing material. For those doing the math at home, that's 40,000 lbs. of old roofing material removed from the property. The removal exposed quite a bit of brick damage to the parapet walls, and Perez was right there to fix the brick with a fresh concrete pour. They did everything they could to refresh a 100+ year-old building and make it watertight again and it's all holding up nicely. Once the mortar was dry, and over the next few days, they replaced some of the plywood that was rotted, began to apply the underlayment, then the top granulated, and added new vents. They even pulled all the parapet caps and wrap the ends of the brick properly. The chimney was completely rebuilt from the rooftop up and they added a cap for added weather proofing. All in all, very happy with the service that Perez provided and would use them again if I ever needed roof replacement or repair, or masonry. Highly recommend, great value!
