I recently had storm damage from high winds. We are in the process of listing our home for sale so this could not have come at a worse time. I called four different companies to get comparable quotes. Three called me back, and two showed up to give me a proposal. Squirrel was by far the most professional. Squirrel Tree Service came out within 12 hours of my call. I met with Jorge and he was very professional and knowledgeable about the work. My work required a Crane to lift tress out of the back yard and over the top of my house. Jorge provided me a competitive quote and was able to meet my timeline. I was thoroughly surprised that he could have his team onsite so quickly. The Crane and the Crew Showed up on time and were prepared to work. This all took place within forty-eight hours of my call for the proposal. They worked ten hours straight on my project and were able to complete it in one day. All the team members were wearing high visibility helmet and safety gear. I thought this was great, as you could see them wherever they were working. I don't usually do reviews , however I needed to have a very large tree removed as well as an expensive tree pruned. I got three quotes from three different companies and The owner of The Squirrel Tree Services (George) gave me the best price. Not only did they do an amazing job taking down the tree, they trimmed my Japanese Oriental Maple which took longer to do than taking down the tree. There were 5 men who took down the tree and 4 of them worked together trimming the Oriental after the tree was taken down . I figured I would have to do some clean up after they left but there wasn't a leaf left to pick up. I was amazed at how professional and hard working they were. Two days later I called Nancy the office manager to tell her to have George come and get the money I owed for the service. No money was paid up front . I am an elderly woman and was very happy that I chose the right company to do this job for me. I can guarantee that if you use this company you will get great service as well as a group of hard working honest men. I will be calling again in the spring to do all my trimming. This is the 2nd time we've used Squirrel Tree service and just like the first, we are very impressed with their work. Their crew are some of the hardest working guys we've ever seen. They are careful about their surroundings and go out of their way to make sure nothing gets damaged. Their pricing is just terrific, very fair for what they do. They meet their commitments, show up when they say and clean up completely after the work is done. We live on Lake Lanier, South End (marker SM 5) and In the October 29th hurricane/tropical storm, we had had 4 large trees come down at our dock, the trees missed the dock, but landed across one of the corner cables. Just had 11 trees cut down on the hill behind our house. 9 of them were tall pines at least 50 to 60 feet tall or more, I used Squirrel Tree Services out of Cumming GA. When I had them come out and provide a quote I asked for a copy of their business license and insurance. They emailed me a copy of their license and had their insurance company mail me a copy of the insurance certificate. I hired them. They showed up when they said they would. They laid down plywood from the street to the back of our house to protect our yard. They could not get any machinery to the back of our house, therefore had to literally carry every limb and piece of wood to their machinery. When the job was complete they cleaned up everything. You could not even tell we had all those trees cut down. I cannot get over how professional this company is. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing tree work. read more

George and his crew are the real deal! I had these guys remove 3 large pine trees and trim 7 more trees in my yard. They were on time, met all of my requests and most importantly, they took care of my property as if it were their own. They safely took down these massive trees all the while laying down plywood to protect my grass. This is one of the finest companies I have done business with since I moved to Georgia 6 years ago. I had a large number of pine trees on my property that were threatening my fences, outside sheds and the main house. They gave me a very competitive price for the work and then proceeded to outperform in every aspect of the job. All the trees were removed safely and without damage to my aluminum fencing, the storage sheds that were located extremely close to the trees, and even to the azaleas and other plants in the working area. While the work was progressing they were constantly busy cleaning up after themselves and after the work was over they spent another 1.5 hours cleaning up so that what they left was in better condition then when they started. I used Squirrel for a job a year ago, and then again a week ago. I shopped other service providers extensively prior to hiring them the first time. They are head and shoulders above the rest in every regard: They are knowledgeable, quote a fair price, have a large crew to complete the job quickly, are Insured/Bonded, clean everything up afterwards, and are pleasant to work with. We had over 30 trees removed the first time, and another dozen very large (80+ feet) and dying hardwoods this more recent time. I watched theses guys take down my neighbors trees i was fascinated with how well they worked together, everyone had a job to do and they did it very well and productive. After the job they cleaned up as if they were never there. So I decided to ask George the owner of Squirrel tree services if he would look at a couple trees in my yard and he said sure and followed me over I ask him how much and when he could do it he said we can do it now if you want and so they took my trees down and did a Great job very safe.Afterwords they cleaned up when they were done. After contacting 7 different companies to come out and give us quotes, Squirrel's prices couldn't be beat, they were GREAT with communication and delivered everything they promised! We had a LARGE project of 50+ extremely large trees that they removed, hauled the chips, ground the stumps and cleaned up the yard beautifully (not a leaf on the ground)! Wow! Excellent job every step of the process. George gave us a reasonable price, Nancy scheduled the job and stayed in communication, the full crew showed up on time with major equipment. They were so efficient and clearly had the steps down pat where each crew member had specific roles. We had a huge tree very near the house and 3 other smaller trees to remove. They took special care to drop huge limbs with ropes, used plywood to protect the yard from the Ditch Witch that was used to carry limbs, and used logs to brace the fall of tree trunks on our driveway. Overall it was a great job. They quoted a competitive price for cutting about 8 large limbs on 3 different trees. The crew was fast and did a very nice job. There were 6 people on site so they worked very efficiently. They even used a blower to disperse the wood chip debris in our yard once they finished cutting. The only mishap was one of the limbs we wanted removed was missed, and we were charged an additional $100 to have it cut. I know I specifically asked for that particular limb to be cut during the estimate; not sure what happened. Otherwise, it was an excellent overall experience. Highly recommended. read more

Jorge came out quickly and quoted a very fair price. We had a half-day job, but they were able to get us on the calendar the following week. They laid out when they would be at our house and what the contingency plan was if it were to rain (it rained two days straight). Each morning, they sent a text if work was washed out, or if they would be there. We also received a "they're on their way" text. The team was professional and did a great job. We called them on 1/2/20, met with Jorge on 1/3/2020 the price was just right for removable of three trees. The crew removed the trees on 1/6/20 they had finished a job early and got to our trees earlier than expected. The trees were gone. The yard looked like nothing had been there even though we had rain all weekend,no ruts no tracks where equipment had been and all limbs and debris was gone. They removed all the trees and cleaned up in a single day. Their price was very competitive, came when they said they would. They were very polite and professional. These guys are amazing! The pricing was phenomenal. They came out at 8:30am and stayed until 8:30pm to make sure the job was done. They cut down 15 trees, chipped, and cleaned up EVERYTHING! Every tree they cut was lowered with incredible precision exactly where it was supposed to go. The logs were stacked for pickup right by the street, in a nice orderly pile.
