I wish I could leave a 10 star review! Wes called me with some things to check and we solved the problem over the phone. USE THIS COMPANY!

Argenta Home Theaters and Automation

Argenta Home Theaters and Automation

This is our third time around with Argenta and setting up a system. I think most people think…read morethey're just a home theatre shop, but they also sell 2-channel systems and offer a lot of great options for equipment. I previously worked with Justin on the setup of our home theater, and they did a stellar 5 star rating on that job. It still sounds and works really well. For this project we wanted a new 2-channel setup and Justin worked with me all the way. He talked to me on the phone and over text about my options, during business hours and even after business hours. He has a real passion for 2-channel systems, so can talk about it forever and offers a lot of insight into what one needs based on room, budget, preferable sources, etc. Justin and Declan came up to our house and did the install over the course of a few hours and it was amazing. I can't say enough good things about their care of the equipment, our house, and the detail they showed in setting everything up and then measuring it. You really cannot go wrong with them. If you're looking for a home theater or 2-channel system I would start by giving Justin a call as chances are he will be able to find a solution to your needs and offer great insight. You won't regret working with him or his team.

I am just writing this review after having two projects (about 4 total days of work) - my wife and…read moreI moved out to Salt Lake City recently and the house we purchased was not wired at all. Tanner with Argenta was excellent at planning a way in which to wire ethernet and fiber throughout the house in a way that was minimally invasive. We also had speaker wire routed from existing speakers to a central location in the garage (along with the ethernet/fiber) with Sonos Amps, along with your typical TV/speaker mounting. The planning process was very smooth and excellent communication throughout. Tanner is a standup guy, very knowledgeable (even figured out a great small TV to fit in our kitchen perfectly). In addition, we had Starlink setup as a backup ISP given Comcast's inconsistency. Specifically on the install work, Tanner C (different Tanner) aka "TanC", and Ray, were my primary guys for all the onsite work. These two are rockstars, efficient, incredibly clean (no mess left whatsoever), smart (I only have to say things once and they just "get it") and are excellent at their craft. They really can work magic with an existing home, and went well beyond my expectations. If you have an existing house, I highly recommend these two (and obviously Argenta does new builds and I'm sure Tanner is great as a project designer for that as well).

Reed's Built-ins is a small family-owned business. They struggle with servicing equipment after…read morethe initial install. It is very hard to get them to make an appointment or come out. If they do come out to look at something and a second trip is required, it is hard to get them to come back. I think the crux of their problem is two fold: 1 - they make more money on new installs so they focus on that pushing lower dollar repairs down their priority list 2 - the person that answers the phone and interacts with people does not have the authority or ability to make appointments. The individual techs themselves pick and choose when they are going to do things. (I believe the techs are the owners of the business.) This all means many customers never bubble to the top of the list to get service. I've had acquaintances say they have waited 6-12 months for Reed's and then they give up and call another company. Maybe they are just that busy, which is great for them. They are nice people, but they really struggle servicing the customers that have existing equipment. After having looked at their wiring after Reed's has installed and maintained it for years, I'm disappointed to find wiring not quite right, not labeled, and some things not working right. It's 90% correct, but just that last bit not being done is frustrating when you work on it later.

The house we moved into was a mess. The previous owners left bits and pieces of the equipment. Reed's came in, gave me options, and provided a solution that worked best for me and the caliber of the house. We worked with an AV company out of Salt Lake, when we lived there, and all they wanted to do is sell us a package deal. They've been pretty good about service. From time to time they're hard to get here, but I know they're gonna take care of me. They can get busy. They've been around for a long time. They've got the experience and ingenuity. Their workmanship is top notch.

When I moved into a house 5 years later, of course I went back. In my experience, you are not going to get better audio quality elsewhere. I've been in a home theater with a $250,000 system, put together by another installer, and it didn't look nearly as good as what CSD Audio will create for you. He has nothing but the best audio experience possible in mind for you, and he will offer a variety of options so you can decide which you like best for your budget. I stopped in last week for an upgrade to my car, and once again CSD Audio worked magic! You can't go wrong by choosing CSD Audio for any of your audio needs!

I found Travis as he was recommended by the company that did an APR tune on my S5. Flawless work. He also installed the PASSPORT 9500CI laser detection system and I have logged nearly 6,000 miles, at least 75% of them over the speed limit, and have yet to be stopped by law enforcement. Travis's work has impressed me enough that he recently put in a home theater system in my home and I could not be more pleased with the results. He delivered on his timetable and he matched a competitors price. Why go anywhere else?
