After a few days needed to obtain the correct parts, I dropped the phone off for repair on a Saturday around noon, and it was ready by 4 p.m. The LG V60 is a phone I want to keep because it remains powerful and includes features that are no longer available even on many flagship phones today. Quality parts are also becoming harder to find because LG stopped selling phones in the U.S. and has exited the cell phone business. The initial repair appeared to go well, but I later began receiving complaints that my calls were unintelligible because of echo and static. I was told that several people in the neighborhood with T-Mobile service were experiencing similar issues, but after further checking, I found that was not the cause. After researching the issue, I learned that this can happen when replacing the USB port on the V60 because the main microphone is attached to the same assembly as the port. In this case, the microphone appeared to be contacting the phone chassis and picking up vibrations from the speaker. The staff at Mr. Fix took the problem seriously, even though this older and less common phone was likely unfamiliar to them. After some discussion, they agreed to replace both the USB port and the battery, making a completely fresh attempt to get the phone working correctly. They succeeded. The phone now works as well as new and is ready for several more years of reliable use. I appreciate Mr. Fix's persistence, accountability, and effort to keep my phone in service, and I would confidently trust them with future cell phone repairs.

Finally.....I found this close business & it was still open. I called Mr. Fix, telling him what I had, and he confirmed that he would take this evil device that had ruined my afternoon. The outside of the store was well maintained with nice signage & tasteful advertising on the windows. Entering the store I found a clean, neatly organized business with a friendly man behind the counter. He immediately knew who I was, probably from my still present vestiges of the continuous beeping stress. He immediately popped open the sealed compartment, removed the battery & cut out a capacitor. We discussed his personal projects that I know require soldering skills that are hard to find in today's generation. Having been in the electronics repair business for 25 years, I recognized him as someone who was competent in his skills & enjoyed electronics repair. Although my experience with the business was in electronics recycling I would feel comfortable with his working on my beloved iPhone & iPad. I'm happy that he will make use of the components in devices recycled with him (not in Phones or Tablets, of course). They won't end up in a garbage dump. The location is in the strip shopping center located on the southeast corner of the intersection on Pleasure House Road & Shore Drive. Parking is adequate. I found a space directly in front of the business. This is a business I would highly recommend for electronics recycling. From my observations of his care & work on the circuit board of the evil unit that I had abandoned, I would think he showed equal care on devices brought to him for repair.
