This guy did a great job! $50 screen replace with a free screen protector! Fast and good price. I think he even came in on a Sunday just to fix my phone.

Fixed the cracked screen within 10 minutes. Didn't try to oversell us on upgrades. Explained our options clearly.

I want to commend Mr. Fix on 21st Street in Norfolk for their commitment to doing right by the…read morecustomer. They have proven to be an excellent cell phone repair shop, and I give them my highest recommendation. I brought in my LG V60 for a USB charging port replacement and a new battery. After a few days needed to obtain the correct parts, I dropped the phone off for repair on a Saturday around noon, and it was ready by 4 p.m. The LG V60 is a phone I want to keep because it remains powerful and includes features that are no longer available even on many flagship phones today. Quality parts are also becoming harder to find because LG stopped selling phones in the U.S. and has exited the cell phone business. The initial repair appeared to go well, but I later began receiving complaints that my calls were unintelligible because of echo and static. I was told that several people in the neighborhood with T-Mobile service were experiencing similar issues, but after further checking, I found that was not the cause. After researching the issue, I learned that this can happen when replacing the USB port on the V60 because the main microphone is attached to the same assembly as the port. In this case, the microphone appeared to be contacting the phone chassis and picking up vibrations from the speaker. The staff at Mr. Fix took the problem seriously, even though this older and less common phone was likely unfamiliar to them. After some discussion, they agreed to replace both the USB port and the battery, making a completely fresh attempt to get the phone working correctly. They succeeded. The phone now works as well as new and is ready for several more years of reliable use. I appreciate Mr. Fix's persistence, accountability, and effort to keep my phone in service, and I would confidently trust them with future cell phone repairs.

It was a stressful afternoon. The Carbon Monoxide Detector I had inherited started continuously…read morebeeping. The battery compartment was sealed. There was no way to remove the battery & stop the beeping. The display indicated it had reached the end of its life. Everything I found in research was for units whose battery could be replaced. FINALLY I found a Reddit post for the same model which detailed how to stop the beeping. Whewww.,.... The next step was to find a location that would accept it for recycling since it couldn't be disposed of with regular trash. The city, even the 2nd Precinct Police Station, was absolutely no help. Finally.....I found this close business & it was still open. I called Mr. Fix, telling him what I had, and he confirmed that he would take this evil device that had ruined my afternoon. The outside of the store was well maintained with nice signage & tasteful advertising on the windows. Entering the store I found a clean, neatly organized business with a friendly man behind the counter. He immediately knew who I was, probably from my still present vestiges of the continuous beeping stress. He immediately popped open the sealed compartment, removed the battery & cut out a capacitor. We discussed his personal projects that I know require soldering skills that are hard to find in today's generation. Having been in the electronics repair business for 25 years, I recognized him as someone who was competent in his skills & enjoyed electronics repair. Although my experience with the business was in electronics recycling I would feel comfortable with his working on my beloved iPhone & iPad. I'm happy that he will make use of the components in devices recycled with him (not in Phones or Tablets, of course). They won't end up in a garbage dump. The location is in the strip shopping center located on the southeast corner of the intersection on Pleasure House Road & Shore Drive. Parking is adequate. I found a space directly in front of the business. This is a business I would highly recommend for electronics recycling. From my observations of his care & work on the circuit board of the evil unit that I had abandoned, I would think he showed equal care on devices brought to him for repair.

I had water damage on my laptop, and Michael took the time to thoroughly inspect and diagnose the issue. His expertise really shines through, and his quick turnaround time--just 2-3 days--was impressive. The diagnostic fee is $75 in cash (there is a small card fee, so it's worth bringing cash if you'd like to save a little), but it's totally worth it for the level of service you get. My repairs were $200 total so it was very reasonable. One thing I really appreciate is his customer-first attitude. After fixing my laptop, I ran into a minor issue, and Michael was quick to address it, honoring the 30-day warranty without hesitation. He genuinely cares about helping people and providing top-notch service. I highly recommend Michael for anyone needing computer repair--he's skilled, professional, and truly dedicated to making sure his customers are happy.

Brought my laptop in to have a new keyboard installed, during this visit the repair shop attempted to upsell me on virus removal as well. Pricing is rather high, especially for certain repairs such as virus removal that can be easily done at home. Repair time took two months; delays were largely a result of the incorrect part being shipped twice, blame being put on the parts provider, but it felt like progress was made on the repair only after contacting them about it. When I received my laptop back, I found I had been upgraded to Windows 11 without my consent, despite the repair having nothing to do with the Operating System. Despite that, I was happy with the repair... until two months later, when I discovered that the whole back cover for my laptop was sliding off because the 5 screws holding it in place (3 internal, 2 external) were completely missing. When contacted, the repair shop denied all responsibility despite stating previously that the whole laptop had to be taken apart for the repair, and was very passive aggressive in shifting the blame onto me and claiming it would be a new repair to have it fixed. All in all, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.
