The HDMI port on my son's PS5 was going in and out then completely stopped working, which I witnessed. That same evening, my son took the console here to get the port replaced after getting a quote over the phone. The next day, they called to say 6 pads on the motherboard were missing so it would be $100 more to repair and take another week. It seems more likely for 6 pads to come off during a repair attempt and not while playing a game, but they claimed it was like that when they opened it. What a strange experience. I was putting a new drive into a laptop/tablet and accidentally broke a connector for a ribbon cable. My eyes are not what they used to be and I was having trouble with the small connector, so I thought this would be a good place to bring it to try and fix it. I showed the employee the issue and he said he has to finish a repair for another customer and to come back in an hour. OK, not a problem. I came back in exactly one hour and the door was locked. There was a handwritten sign taped to it saying he will be back in 15 minutes. OK... I wait 15 minutes. Then another 20. I give up and go home. I called the place to leave a message to have them call me when they get back, but he answers the phone. I ask if he is there and he says yes, so I drive back. I did mention he told me to come back in an hour and I did, then sat there for over half an hour. He then says he needed to get lunch. OK... then why tell me to come back in 1 hour? Tell me to come back when you will be there. Whatever, then I show him the issue again. He plays with it for a few seconds, but doesnt do much. I ask him if he can fix it and he says we dont do work for free. Ummm what? I never asked him to do anything for free. He showed no real interest in fixing the problem. I guess since it wasnt a common device, he put out the minimal effort. You may have better luck if you have a phone issue. read more

Shattered Mobile... A store that lives up to it's name. TLDR:Brought the phone in for a rear camera lens repair and Shattered Mobile broke the home button on my iPhone 7. I had recently brought my iPhone 7 to the shop to have the lens on the rear camera replaced. It had a crack that caused light to get into some pictures. $10 for the part, $40 for the service to install it. Sounds fair. 2 weeks after I request the part and service it arrives and I drop the phone off at the store. Estimated time to repair 30 minutes to an hour. I head out to the mall to kill some time and I get a call about an hour later here is how it went Tech: Mr. ***** I was calling to let you know I won't be able to finish the repair in the estimate I gave you. Getting the lens out was harder then I had anticipated and I need to call someone else into the office to perform the repair. I think we will have it done at 3pm. (3 hours after the estimate) Me: That is fine, call me when you are done with the repair. So I go about my day until 3pm arrives. Tech: Mr. ***** was the active ID having any issues on your phone? Me: No, the only issue was with the lens. Everything else works on the phone. Tech: Well it is not working now. I will try to reseat the part and call you once I have an update. Me: Okay, just call me when you are done. 15 to 20 minutes later. Tech: Mr. ***** the home button no longer works The conversation went downhill from there. From what the tech told me the home button is in no way an area of the phone he was in, but even though it is broken now the shop has no way to fix the device and I would need to take it to Apple now to repair. They also didn't do their prerepair phone checks to verify what worked before they took the phone in, so they have no documented proof what functions on the device worked before they started working on it. Initially, since they could not fix the phone, they offered me a screen protector to attempt to make up for the damage they did to my device. I declined and demanded a refund on the repairs. I only received a partial refund and had to take the phone to Apple to fix. Apple quoted over $300 to repair the device so I just ended up upgrading the phone and cutting my losses. read more

There are miracle workers here! My husband's phone went for a quick hot tub dip, and everything went dark. We dried it quickly and had it laying in a bowl of rice for 24-48 hrs. When he turned it on, there was a quick glimmer of hope and then nothing but dark. These guys had it for 24 hours and it was as good as new, and nothing was lost!!! And the cost was very reasonable. Good customer service is my thing, and their customer service is awesome! The young man who helped us was friendly, joked around with us, and got us in and out of there within 10 minutes, even with screen repair time. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. It's about $20 higher for screen repair here than a place near by, but definitively worth the $20 for a proper repair and the included warranty. Reviews alone set it apart. I took what I thought was a shattered screen in to have it repaired. When the screen cover was pulled off, we found that it was the cover that had broken. The technician did not try to oversell me anything but did recommend a new cover which he applied for me. He also took the time to make sure there was no other issue with the screen. After my toddler spilled some water on my Macbook Pro, he helped me remove the liquid from it and installed a new hard drive (the old hard drive no longer works due to water damage). 2nd Edit- Was contacted by owner and told me to come in they would fix the phone. As promised. They fixed the phone and I have no issues viewing my phone with my sunglasses on. Stand up guys. Go get your phone fixed here! Edit- I normally wouldn't go back and edit a review. I had to reduce to three stars due to the fact that I cannot wear polarized sunglasses and look at my screen unless the phone is horizontal. I wear sunglasses and drive a lot, if I would have know this, I would have just paid the extra $100 and had the screen replaced at Apple. (it is definitely the screen, never had issues before, don't have issues with my work phone) Service was still good, screen works fine. If you do not wear polarized sunglasses you will be fine getting replaced Great service. In and out in 15 minutes. Reasonably priced, much cheaper the Apple.
