Yesterday we needed to grab a quick lunch and she suggested we go there. The entrance to the parking lot is a mess, but the sandwiches are always first rate. They even have Coke in the original glass bottles without the corn syrup! My goal is to eat everything on the menu. The food is always fresh with organic ingredients wherever possible. The service is great, and the space is always sparkling clean. I'll always look here first whenever possible. My partner finally said to me " I don't know why we old go anywhere else, this place is easily the best."

We had an extremely troubling experience with the new ownership of Sandwich Republic. We paid…read moreapproximately $30 using tap-to-pay on our phone. Our bank showed that the transaction went through, but the owner insisted that he had not received the payment. He asked us to run the card again, suggesting that if we were charged twice, perhaps our bank would credit one of the charges. We called our bank, and the bank confirmed that we had already been charged and told us they could not simply reverse the transaction. At that point, we decided not to take our food and to leave. Because the owner was claiming he hadn't received our payment, I specifically asked him to simply write on a piece of paper that we were leaving without receiving our order. I wanted documentation showing that we had not received any food in case we needed to dispute the charge. He refused to put that in writing. He repeatedly told us that this had never happened in his 20 years in business, even though this restaurant is under new ownership. When we continued trying to resolve it, he told us it wasn't his problem, told us to call the police, and refused to work with us. We ultimately disputed the charge with our bank because we were charged approximately $30 and received no food. What makes this situation even more upsetting is that, according to the information we subsequently received through our dispute, the merchant responded by claiming that we DID receive the food. We did not.

We always order way too many tacos but never regret it because then we have a meal for later we cannot wait to eat again. The coco loco shrimp taco was to die for I wish we had gotten more of them. I might've actually been able to just eat those tacos. I always go and grab a few different specialty tacos that sound good and then split them with my hubby. The pastor (pork and pineapple) taco is a safe bet that I always have to order. The taco with the Chicharrones I've never seen was rly unique and the right amount of crunch and flavor. I really have to shout out the garlic wings!! I don't know if they have these at every location, but you absolutely must get them if you're at the Springfield location. The sauce in the mix of herbs together is amazing !! Oh and don't forget the sauce flight!! bonus points if you ask for the pineapple habanero sauce that they keep behind the cash register!!

Order at the counter, wait for your order and grab a seat. Now about the food. The fried chicken sandwich was good but overall it was average. The fries were great, hand cut and cooked perfectly. The sticky bun was good and I can tell it was freshly made. The down side is the bun was slightly dryer than I like. Overall I do think this a good spot and honestly I'll try it again. Next time I'll try something different on the menu and update my rating.

I ordered a chicken shawarma taco and fries (not pictured). They have a large selection of toppings to pick from to customize your order and everything felt fresh and tasty. Their shawarma sauce is also delicious. The fries were a bit lackluster and were kind of mushy - they were the crinkle cut kind. Service was okay and it took about 10 minutes to fill my order which felt pretty long considering I ordered one taco. But the food is fresh and they make things to order. Overall, tasty food and a great concept and I enjoyed my experience.

I responded "Dine in." She walked away. I arrived at the counter and proceeded to attempt to place my order. I picked up the menu and the African America young woman with glasses asked me if I wanted to read the menu or place an order. I responded that I had to read the menu in order to place my order. She the said "If you don't know what you want, you're allowed to take your time." I was unaware I needed her permission, but okay. Then, I turned to the Asian young woman who seemed ready to accept an order from me. She rang me up prior to being seated. I declined the tip (poor service so far, sadly) and paid for my meal. She pointed me to a seat. Asian young woman after a delay (restaurant was practically empty) brought my food to the table, along with an empty glass and pointed me to the cutlery. What made the service even more disappointing was that I had told both women that I arrived from a 3 hour drive. I have patronized Nando's since its very first store opened on the East Coast. I will not be back to this location.

Most of this operation appears to be take-out. We placed a pickup order online and it was waiting for us by the time we showed up. We ordered two small chicken bowls and one "feast mode". The "feast mode" size was actually challenging for three people to finish! The "hive sauce" tastes like a honey mustard with maybe mayo? It's pretty good. I really wish Flavor Hive would have additional toppings - just cucumber tomato onion cilantro etc are quite minimal. Would be awesome if they could add something like beet salad or beans! The value at this place is excellent compared to the numerous other rice / slop bowl places in the area. It is a lot of food.
