VERY UPSET! I wish I could put no stars! Update to my review 4 weeks ago, finally got my car back after 2 1/2 months. That right there is beyond ridiculous! So once I posted my review, the owner, Craig, said he would be on top of this and make sure it was top priority. Then he completely disappeared and was always out of town when I wanted to speak with him again. After they got the new engine and the turbos, I was once again promised dates that it would be done that never happened. Then their only mechanic got injured which things happen, I get it, but it felt like everything that could go wrong, did. Then it got pushed out another 2 weeks. I ended up calling my warranty company on 5 different occasions when SPS stated they were waiting on info from the warranty company to move forward, yet every time I called to address the matter, it was always something on SPS's end that the warranty company was waiting on. They ended up getting about $6000 from the warranty company to help cover some of the cost. During the entire time they had my car, we had to call for updates and only received a call from SPS when their mechanic was injured and when my car was finished, otherwise it was a joke to get ahold of someone for updates. When I finally went in to pick up my car, I was not apologized to once, they would not own up to any of the issues on their end and only made excuses. They did knock of $700 but I felt like they could do better or at least own up or apologize for ALL the issues in this process. Craig was out of town when I picked up so I was unable to discuss this with him and had a feeling once I paid any money for my car and drove away, that was that and low and behold, when Craig was back in town, we tried to talk to him to see if he would make this right and have a discussiom about this whole thing, but he didn't want to talk to us at all because of my previous bad review and said he would not discuss it further and we are just SOL. I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service and nothing was ever done by the date they would give me. I also never got a single apology. I will leave a bad review for them everywhere I can. Since they got their money, that was that in their eyes. I am very fortunate that I work from home or don't have kids that would have needed driven around or I would have been completely screwed for over 2 mos. It's sad that I was referred to these guys by a family they have serviced for 30 years to be treated this way. I walked away feeling as if this was my fault somehow. I am in absolute shock the way we were treated. 4 weeks ago: NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I had an issue with my turbos going out which caused it to blow my engine. Took my car in June 11th, and started a claim with my warranty company to see what they would cover with the damage. A week went by with no word. Had to call for an update to find out nothing had been done and the warranty company had yet to receive the pictures they needed of the damage. I was then promised they were going to get the new engine ordered and they would tear it down to take the pictures. I had to continuously call for updates to keep getting told deadlines that never happened and things kept getting pushed back. They finally got the motor like July 11th (a month in now without a car) then they finally find the turbo issue. They took like another week til they finally ordered the turbos and sent the pictures to the warranty company. Then I was told the second the turbos came in, it would only be about an hours worth of work and it would be done. Well the turbos were set to arrive July 29th and now they just realized that they got the wrong engine.... really?! Like weeks later this was caught after everything else?! I cannot believe how many times I was told it would be done the next week and now we are coming up on almost 2 months I have been carless to now have to wait for another engine to be ordered and come in..... I will NEVER come here again and I hope no one has to deal with this... the lack of communication and false promises is a joke! read more

Stopped by for an emissions test since it was that time of year again and my local DEKRA was closed. One individual at SPS Tire Pros completes the tests and there wasn't an option for me to schedule an appointment with them, so I went on down one morning in hopes of being squeezed in. The front desk was cordial and checked me in but neglected to inform me of how long it would be. I waited around 1.5 hours before I got my car back. Thankfully there was a waiting area but it was tucked around some tires and signs. Overall, a nice place to get an emissions test done. read more

I've been getting my oil changes with them for about a year now, no problem with that. I decided I would get my brakes done with them, well while they were changing the brakes they let me know that my routers should get changed as well because they were needed. I got it done as well, short after leaving I realized that they were making a rasping noise, I thought maybe they just needed to adjust cause they're new. The noise got worse and took it back to get looked at just to be told they're fine. Noise kept going so I took it elsewhere to get looked at to be told that the brakes and roters need to all be changed, turns out they gave me the cheap brakes and the rasping noise was them wearing down the roters. Hard to find places that won't just take your money and give you cheap parts and service. read more

SPS tire pros literally saved my life by offering a free tire rotation and free alignment check because otherwise if they hadn't my tire rod probably would of broke on the freeway and killed me or even killed someone else. I won't ever go anywhere else unless I absolutely have too. The owner and staff are life savers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! read more

The guys there do you clearly know their stuff I go there every other month to get an oil change and they're pretty awesome and pretty keen about everything and I definitely recommend going to the tire shop if you're in town for driving trailer and using oil change or tire rotation or tire change I definitely recommend heading up to the shop! I genuinely trust the guys there and they're work! read more

LIARS....AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! i ordered tires from tirebuyer.com to be delivered here. i called SPS, talked to Rusty...who said my tires were there. hmmm, that's odd Rusty, they shipped much quicker than tirebuyer's estimate. i called tirebuyer, and guess what? my tires had not shipped yet. i hate lying scumbags Rusty. would their stock tires have been fine? who knows? maybe, maybe not. you really don't know, when you're dealing with liars Rusty. sometimes, it's just about the principle. tirebuyer.com was great, switched the delivery to an honest competitor. after getting the car serviced it smells funny. wouldn't recommend getting service done if your not into that

I've gone to SPS American Car Care Center twice now and had two bad experiences. The first time I went for a safety and emissions inspection. They guy said my tires were awful and I needed all new tires and an alignment. But he passed me on the safety....I looked at my tires later and all I really needed was to rotate and balance my tires. The second time I went for an oil change. Everything seemed fine, but for my next oil change I went to Jiffy Lube and they said I was two quarts low! My car is relatively new and does not have an oil leak or burn oil. The only conclusion was SPS did not fill my car with enough oil. I will never be going to them again. It's not worth it. read more

I walked in yesterday with some parts in hand from autozone, front brakepads and rotors for my 1989 toyota motorhome. J.J greeted me and was very pleasant. He said they had time to get to it, I asked him for an estimate to install and he quoted me 1.5 to 2.25 hours, I agreed to that and returned about 1215 with all the parts. The mechanic took my car into the garage about 1230. Very nice I thought, this will be done soon. At 1:15 the mechanic came out and said we have wrong pads, this was the second pair from autozone that wqs incorrect. So he put on old pads and manager had me pay an atronomical bill and requested I come back next week to have correct pads installed. Didnt know what else to do so did as he said, However, I did protest and told him to let the owner know that he had charged me 3.6 hrs for about an hours work. Randy, told me the estimate JJ gave me was completely wrong and that I would have to pay bookrate for the work. I can tell you I have never had to pay so much for a little brake work. After I got home, I looked for brake pads for my motorhome and found factory pads at $54 from toyota in Georgia. I tried to cll Rndy at store and let hime know I could not find any replacement pads that cost $121 and I would like the factory pads if possible. When I called he had no time to talk and they hung up. Presently, I would be happy to NEVER return for their ANYTHING and get a refund for what they have not yet done. I am hoping to find the owner and let him know of these happenings, Im sure he would not be happy. AS I, THE CUSTOMER AM NOT HAPPY. But thank you JJ for trying to make it all work. This place ripped me off. They charged me $80 to do a computerized compression test on my car and they had no record of it in their computers. They handed me a piece of paper that said "4th cylinder dead" in handwriting. I told them that was, what was wrong with it when i took it in. I have no proof they actually did it to my car, but they wouldn't release my car until i had paid the bill in full. They were rude to me when i said i wanted my money back since they had no print out or proof, and they lost my keys and took forever to find them. I wrote a letter to the Better Business Buero, because i did not get the service that i paid for. read more

I came in here three weeks ago with a low tire. The tire was only 6 months old. These clowns tried to charge me for two NEW tires I did not need, an alignment and more, totalling almost $500!! I immediately left and went to Goodyear on Washington St. They plugged the tire for $10. Run, do not walk away from these scam artists!! read more

Our Ford 350 dually was bouncing at low speed and shimming at high speed, we thought it needed the tires balanced. Luckily they found that one of the rear tires had a bulge and needed replacing. A mistake was on my billing and they were quick to respond to error and correct the problem. They are courteous and helpful. The truck now runs smooth ...no bounce or shake at all. I've spent a lot of money here and wished I didn't. You'd think after spending close to 5k in services here they wouldn't try to jerk me around!! Also they ran my car into another car causing damage to the side of my vehicle. Maybe they are over charging me because they don't want my business. Honestly I would recommend Lynwood auto in layton instead. They told me for the price sps was going to charge me that Lynwood would only charge that if it was a complete rebuild not just an adjustment!! Conclusion - over priced and under qualified. read more
