I needed emissions done for this year, and I found a great deal on Groupon! I was a little nervous to come to a new car shop I've never been to, as in the past I've had some less than desirable experiences. Everything was quick, simple, and to the point. Fast forward to I cannot find my emissions paper. I called MULTIPLE times to ask if they could reprint it or what I needed to do. Called someone more educated in the subject, and they said it would be on file with the state. Okay, cool! I'll just register my car then! It would not pull up. It was like I never had any emissions done. A week or so goes by, and I finally get ahold of a woman at the business. She tells me the test was only good for a week. A week???? When I looked it up online, it told me tests are good generally for a couple months. I'm unsure of the actual validity of this, but if this test was truly only good for a week, I wish they would have informed me so I wasn't out so much money. I got a deal, sure, but I ended up having to pay WAY more to have it done somewhere else. I ended up finding a wonderful shop near me, so I'll stick with this new business. Just disappointed in the whole experience. The lack of communication needs to be addressed, that could have solved problems on everyones end. read more

Given all the great reviews on Google, I had high hopes for this shop. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I feel like this shop took advantage of my husband. $1,400 dollars and 2.5 weeks later, the vehicle is worse than when we dropped it off. The shaking (which only happened on the freeway) is now happening around town, and when we let off the gas, we hear a spinning/grinding noise. I wish we had paid more attention to the negative reviews, because we had the same experience as some of the other customers. When we dropped off the vehicle, they said the axels were shot and needed to be replaced. The original quote was around $600 for labor and $150 for diagnostics, and an astronomical amount for the parts. We ended purchasing our own parts at Autozone to save quite a bit of money (we purchased the best CV axels they had (which were the Duralast Gold with a limited lifetime warranty), and asked the shop if we could bring them in. They agreed, but said their shop warranty for the parts would be void. We agreed to the terms and they started working on the vehicle. Once the mechanic installed the axels, he said the seals started leaking. After attempting to fix the seals multiple times, they said they only charged us for 1 of those multiple attempts. Since he had to take everything out and replace the seal, we had to pay $40 for the seal (which is fine). The labor to take everything apart again ended up being our responsibility though ($464). The original quote for labor to replace TWO cv axels was a little over $600, but now to replace ONE seal is $464. They'll probably say it was the lift kit causing the issue (which has been on the vehicle for 5+ years and is a one inch lift), or they'll say the parts we bought to fix the vehicle were not up to their standard. We're not quite sure what they're trying to do. A little over two weeks later and now we're left with a vehicle that is worse now than when we dropped it off and we're $1,400 poorer. I feel like this might be a Get Gephardt situation. read more

I don't have a problem with their work but I do have a problem with being gouged. I paid them $1200 for a water pump replacement for an Audi A4 when others would have done it for $700-$800. While they had the car they rightfully pointed out it need a new right wheel bearing and quoted me $1200. I took it to Schwab and they replaced both front wheel bearings and aligned the front end for $1050 - and much better customer service. read more

wont use customer supplied parts, I would guess because he cant profit on the parts sales as well as the hourly labor rate which I would guess is more than 50 per hour, this is why auto service industry is pretty looked down upon. Made and appointment to have a fuel pump replaced on my Saab turbo. They quoted half of what my normal mechanic does. They were only scheduling for 2 days out which was pretty quick in my opinion. After dropping the car off in the morning, I was back behind the wheel by noon. Did the job what I asked and didn't try to sell or repair anything I didn't need. Happily took my input and answered my questions on replacing the fuel pump I provided which my normal mechanic refused to install. I will definitely be visiting again. read more

Just tried these guys for the first time. They were great. They provided an estimate for general service to my BMW and stuck to it. They delivered on time and were helpful in answering questions. I received an estimate from another shop and Import Auto Clinic beat it by $70! They know what they are doing and weren't guessing at my expense.
