I know when i leave they I haven't been swindled. it is extremely hard to find an honest repair shop. even if i moved across the country i will tow my car to Paul's that way i know what i am getting. I've been going to Paul's Auto for over 3 decades. I can send my wife there with any kind of problem with a car and know they will be honest, kind and as economical as possible. One time my Ford Escort through a rod and the engine seized up on my way to work. The let me store it in their lot until I could arrange to have it scrapped - no charge (other than the donuts I brought them for their kindness. Another time my Ford Ranger died at lunch due to a clogged catalytic converter. I had it towed to them. They hunted to find a "like" converter and did the best they could. They told me that if the noise and smell didn't subside to bring it back. It didn't and I did. They redid it with a different converter and refused even to take payment for labor. Recently my Ford Fusion was running rough and they looked at it. They honestly called and said that anti-freeze was getting into the engine pistons and they did not have the tools to fix it. The recommended going to Ford. We did and put a new engine in it - Paul's was right-on with their diagnosis and were not too proud to refer us elsewhere. They are smart guys and very easy to work with. Have more stories but if not enough to promote you to use them for your auto work, then more won't do any good anyway!!! read more

These guys are amazing. My daughter came all the way from S Jordan to have Paul's replace the engine mounts on her 2005 Camry. She waited 10 days for an appointment and 2 days to get the work done but she hung out at our house and worked remotely. There were a number of symptoms going on as a result of the bad mounts and an unethical shop could have ripped her off for over $1000. Paul's did the right thing and charged her $292. The car runs great and my daughter is thrilled. Too bad they are so busy all the time. read more

I've taken my cars to Paul's a number of times. I usually hate going to the mechanic. I don't know much about cars, and sort of have to take their word for whatever needs doing. I usually experience it kind of like I might a date rape drug; I leave feeling sort of violated, but I'm not sure exactly what happened. Not so with Paul's. They have been very straightforward with me, often telling me something does not really need to be fixed, or even making a minor adjustment at no charge. We drove to Utah from California (11 hours) and during the last 30 minutes of our drive, the a/c in my vehicle stopped working. Feeling panicked about driving back home with three kids, two dogs and two adults for 11 hours with no a/c in temps over 100 degrees, I began calling all over to get my vehicle in. Paul's automotive initially told me they were swamped and unable to get us in. After calling back in desperation, they told me to bring it in first thing in the morning. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it the same day. Then, when they called to tell me my vehicle was ready they informed me that the cost was less than what they originally quoted me because they were able to use the can of Freon that we purchased. What an honest and excellent shop. We could not have asked for better service and treatment. Highly recommend these guys! read more
