I went here with a specific product in mind that I needed. The product was a 'back flow valve insulated cover bag'. The staff is not pushy in any way just to get some sales. They definitely want to help you and make sure that you're taken care of. There was only a few customer in the store. This might be due to the 'season' and most people aren't doing much with their sprinklers. It was nice being the other customer in there because I was really able to ask a lot of questions for understanding and receive great help from the employees. Even though they didn't have what I was looking for but I did receive great information on ways to save money by DIYing my own back flow value insulated bag type thing. Customer service at this store is a complete joke walked in three people at the counter multiple people just walking around isles working there no one could be bothered to say anything to me or help me. Once it looked like someone was going to help me they just went and picked up the phone And ignored me. Large store dedicated to all things sprinkler. Where it was my first time in the store, it took a little getting used to, and then it took even longer to convince someone that I needed some help finding the products I needed. It seemed that this place is much more interested in the general contractors than the DIY homeowner. So, that in of itself would make the store a 2 or 3-Star in my opinion, but I'm giving it 4 based on the great selection. If the staff could be even a little more interested in helping and showing any sort of desire to actually do their job and not simply chat about how awesome it will be when they are off work/. I installed our sprinkler system in our new house about 5 years ago, so this is talking about service I got then, but I can't imagine it would be any different these days. If you've ever tried to design or put in a sprinkler system, especially if you've not done it before which was the case for me, it can seem a pretty daunting task. It's certainly not rocket science, but it's always nice to have someone who can provide help and advice - and this is where Sprinkler World excels. They start out by having you map out your yard on graph paper, showing the outline of your house, flower beds, grass areas etc. From this they put it into a Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) system where they will work out exactly what sprinkler heads, pipe runs and stations you need. This alone is a huge help, and they were very open to discussing various options. It was also great information I could give directly to the company I hired to dig the trenches for us. From this design, they also create a full parts list of everything you need, all the heads, piping, valves, enclosures, adhesives etc. They also show demonstrations on how to build your manifold/valve assemblies, how to properly connect the pipes using the supplied adhesives, and how to setup up the appropriate drains in the system to prevent problems with things freezing in the winter etc. Really with all this doing it yourself doesn't seem any where close to daunting. As a result, the project went very smoothly and everything has worked correctly since it was originally installed. They were very helpful when we had some questions on how to configure certain heads and also with a minor issue we had with getting the valve blocks setup right (something to do with the bleed valves I seem to recall). If you're thinking of trying to install your own system, or just need assistance or replacement parts....I highly recommend Sprinkler World. read more

Can't agree more that customer service is terrible and store is set up for professionals only. No aisle signage, everything in an unlabeled bin or box, and no one cares to help you. Waited to ask a question behind another customer and when he left, associate just walked away from us. Were told to get in the checkout line to ask a question. "That's how we do it here." Contrast to Home Depot who had 8 associates in the sprinkler aisle asking if you needed help. Couldn't have had a worse first experience at Sprinkler World. read more

Sprinkler World is bar none the worst company I have ever dealt with. The first issue I ran into was when they charged my credit card twice. I know, it happens, but when it is a $1500 charge it is kind of a big deal. When I contacted them about this they said it would be 10 days before it was refunded. Between that time and 10 days my credit card payment was due. Long story short I had to pay for their mistake. Next was when I received my sprinkler plan. It was not a plan at all. It was a half thought out, and sloppy. I took the plan to one of their sister stores in Lehi where they told me the plan was junk. The girl at the Lehi store was kind enough to help me cobble together a new plan. If all of that wasn't bad enough. I found out they charged me for items that they never delivered. Not just a few. It was nearly $150 in items I never received. After many attempts to get ahold of them, and many unreturned messages. I disputed the charge on my credit card. They responded to the dispute with a copy of my receipt. What does that prove? That I paid for the items? The issues don't stop at the Sandy location. The issue goes all the way up to their parent company Standard Plumbing. I talked to one of the managers there, I believe his name was Nate. He promised to make everything right. I've tried to get ahold of him with no luck. It seems he has dropped off the planet. Avoid these jokers. There are other sprinkler supply stores in Utah. Even if the store is run by monkeys I'm sure they are more capable than these guys. read more

They sell great products and the staff are very knowledgable. However, this isn't a retail-friendly store - it's set up mainly for commercial accounts. The lines move very slowly and you'll probably be frustrated unless you already know what you want and where to find it. Also, they don't post any prices on anything, though the prices are fair. So yeah, a pretty quirky place, but I deal with it to get the good supplies for sprinklers and drip irrigation systems. read more

Superstore of sprinkler parts but always busy and slow. Once you get to the counter staff is very knowledgable.

I purchased $358.34 worth of sprinkler equipment only to find out it would not work. When I went back to the store less than 24 hours later they would not return it because I could not find my receipt. The person who sold me the equipment remembered me as I was just there the day before and I even offered to show my bank statement as proof of purchase but was told it was not good enough since it was not the receipt. I ended up buying the right equipment but it cost me another $220.25. Both the employee and manager (whose name is Jake) told me it was my problem for losing the receipt and told me I could try and sell the sprinkler equipment I do not need online. Jake - the manager- told me it would take him over two hours to try and find the receipt and if he did it for me he would have to do it for everyone. During COVID-19 I think this is extremely poor customer service. read more

I went in yesterday and waited in line for help from Brady. He told the guy in front he had to wait because he had something to do. We waited then it was my turn Brady was playing with his phone talking to himself then he looks up at me and says hold on I got to make a call! I wait for him to find the number he makes the calls and asked for Jeff. Then hangs up and says can I help you. I tell him I need an in line shut off vale for a 1" sprinkler line to connect to my control box. Brady says to me you need to go to Standard plumbing supply? I said no I need a Shut off vale for my sprinkler main line. Again he says go next store. I say to him if you were not playing with your phone you would understand me. He looked at me like I was a dumb ass! So I tell him you are a moron and walked out the door. Never will I go back to this store. read more

I went to your store in Sandy, Utah trying to solve a water hammer problem with my lawn sprinklers. I had a notion to add a water hammer arrestor to my lines to keep from blowing out my valves from the notoriously high water pressure in my neighborhood. When I asked for help, a tall gentleman by the name of Fred showed me the advantages of adding a pressure reducer instead of an arrestor. Then he helped me find all the fittings I would need to install it in my system. He even added some tips and tricks to make the installation easier. The installation was a breeze, and now my system pressure is low enough that I doubt I will be blowing more valves. You ought to give Fred a big atta-boy for being so helpful to a retired accountant who is uninitiated in the peculiarities of sprinkler plumbing. Please convey to him my sincere appreciation for representing your company so well. And give yourselves a pat on the back for having someone like him on your staff. read more
