My review is based on a three week stay during which I changed rooms four times by request, to experience the overall hotel. Management/Employees: The management and employees at Springhill's Suites were all professional, prompt to assist during any inconveniences and by the second week addressed me by my last name anytime we engaged in conversation. Front desk employees were generally polite and patient while engaging me during a transaction or conversation despite obvious superficiality or apprehensions when my engagement delayed their task at hand. The hotel employees a diverse team culturally and ethnically. All of the employees I encountered spoke clear American English, in addition to any other languages spoken. BREAKFAST: The breakfast always included Scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal with various toppings, one or two kinds of fruits, some bagels, cream cheese, jelly, peanut butter, fruit juices and milk. Breakfast Hours: Weekdays 6 AM until 9AM. Weekends 7AM to 10AM. BONUS TIP: Key hot foods ran out by 9:00 AM or earlier during the weekends due to different people running the breakfast area. BONUS TIP: Put Bacon or breakfast meats on your plate as soon as you get to the breakfast area, especially on Saturdays which are the busiest. They run out fast. BONUS TIP: You can get a coffee cup with lid from the water area near the front desk to take milk from the gallon milk container. During the weekends individual containers are not available. Some mornings, there were yogurt and pastries available. Rooms and Views I stayed in four different rooms, all of the beds were comfortable. BONUS TIP: The rooms have a hotel managed Alarm Clock. It will go off at 6AM the first morning, unless you turn it off in advance. This alarm unit has two AC power sockets and two standard USB sockets. (These are the only USB power ports in the room) Each KING suite room has same setup. Rooms near the elevator which is the center of the hotel, have a slightly different layout. Rooms have a mini-kitchen counter with a small sink, microwave, some storage space underneath and a very small mini-refrigerator that has no freeze section. BONUS TIP: The mini-fridges have an auto defrost feature. You may encounter wet food and less cooler internal temperatures. Make sure the mini-fridge door and seal are closing good, leave it closed and it should chill-up again in a few hours. The desk had two built-in AC sockets and a land-line internet network cable socket (No cable provided) No USB ports. A very bright desk lamp perfect for work. In one room the desk AC sockets didn't work, causing me Laptop battery to drain and shutdown while I was working. I recommend testing the sockets in advance. The artwork on the walls are large and pleasant. The lighting in the room was adequate, and the desk light was exceptional for working under. There was a large couch with a pull-out bed. The main bed had a roll out bed also. The couch wasn't the most comfortable to sit on without a pillow to lean against. The TV had limited channels, mainly movie, motel, Pandora, several major news channels, YouTube or Netflix if you have an account. No local TV or News channels. WI-FI Non-Secured Internet was included. The included versions was faster than any other hotel chain I've stayed in. A faster higher bandwidth tier for gaming and intense streaming is available for an additional fee. The restroom sink and counter was separate from the toilet and shower. There was a very small closet. One of the smallest of any hotel I've encountered. The shower was oddly shaped and had a built-in plastic foot stool which felt awkward initially. Water pressure was decent, and hot ware was plentiful. This location has two primary views. A partial view of the San Gabriel Mountains (North side). A City view facing the Metro A-Line Electric Train. (South Side) The windows in the room open three inches on either side, and offer plenty of sound protection when closed, plenty of natural light. The roll down blinds kept the room very dark for late sleeping when required. While this is a "Pet-Friendly" hotel, I didn't see or hear any pets during my three week stay. No fleas or bugs in the rooms of any variety. All of the rooms I stayed in smelled clean, no strong cleaning chemicals within the building which is great for people with allergies and raspatory issues, no strange smells in the rooms. The air conditioner/heaters are controlled via a wall thermostat. In my first room, it was hidden behind the TV. Hotel Amenities: Housekeeping was available every other day. Every day by request, and required every seven days. The hotel has a mini-market closet with Candy, Chips and drinks. A big perk if you are a Silver or Gold Marriot/Bonvoy member is later check out times upon request. I had several visitors, and we were allowed to use the boardroom to play some board games one evening. The pool is decent sized. I stayed here in August a

I love this hotel. They have free breakfast with your stay it was very good. There is coffee, hot water, along with cold water available down stairs. There are an assortment of tea packet and hot chocolate. The staff is awesome you will always find a friendly smile from the front desk staff you're guaranteed to smile coming and leaving. Upon arrival, the room was extremely clean. The blankets are awesome. We were nice and comfortable in the beds. The cleaning staff the entire staff I should say is awesome and Friendly everybody made us feel welcome. One person that stood out for me was Liliana housekeeping. She was so awesome and accommodating, and made me feel like I had my own housekeeper. Very very friendly. She deserves a five star. I will be coming back because of her.

Not the best check in experience I've had. Only one person working at the front desk. Waited 20 minutes in line when there's only 2 people ahead of me. I was thirsty when I came in to the lobby only to find out their water dispenser "infused with lemon" was empty. When we came to our studio room it was okay. I prepped the sofa bed for my son who's tired from a long trip, then we noticed the stain on the sheet. I checked the king sized bed and OMG i found hair everywhere on the sheet! SMH! We're supposed to stay for 2 nights but there's no water pressure coming out of the shower. We decided to check out in the morning since they can't switch us rooms because they're "sold out". The whole experience was a nightmare. Never coming back to this place again.

Stayed at this nice hotel for 2 nights. Along with the king size bed and bathroom, the room also had a small pantry area with a fridge and microwave, a desk area, and a sofa. I love the included free breakfast every morning! The first morning had bacon and eggs, and the second morning had sausage gravy biscuits and eggs. There's also a section with bagels, muffins, toast, oatmeal, and a DIY waffle maker! Very cool. Also, can't forget about the complimentary hot fresh cookies that are available at the front lobby! Every time I pass by and smell the sweet aroma, I just have to grab one. With the really friendly staff, the nice room, the daily breakfast, AND the cookies, I would definitely book here again next time.

Bugs on bed. NOT GOOD TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF BUG THIS IS. Anyway, this place should really reorganize their managers and staff.

I would of given them 0 star but unfortunately not allowed here. Anyway, I am a traveling person and been to major hotels including 4 seasons hotel but this place is far worst them Motel 6! Here are the issues 1. Bad customers service. Call to get the TV working but the guy in the front desk when I call from the room tells me to come down because No one was available to fix it. Wow, really? Read the negative review, there are NO response to people complaining so they can do better but they only respond to few good ones. I guess the manager don't give a shit about it. 2. First, people here are uneducated in sense of utilizing professional services. The females here have somewhat professional look the guy who I think is a manager seems very upset and give people the feeling of uncomfortable look, but how do you represent a hotel which is respected throughout the country and have employees that are untrained and unprofessional. He was wearing sweat pants and sweater on top! REALLY A MANAGER PRESENTING HIMSELF FOR MARRIOTTE HOTEL. if I was corporate manager I would really look I to this place. 3. This place maybe good to compete with Motel.6. There are so many y unprofessional attitude here so I won't go a year further MARRIOTTE SHAME ON YOU AND I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE. IF YOU WANT A GOOD HOTEL, GO TO DOUBLETREE IN MONROVIA CA THEY ARE THE MOST KIND AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. 4. RENEE, TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE Courteous AND HAVE PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE WITH SMILE BECAUSE PEOPLE DESERVE IT WHEN THEY ARE PAYING FOR YOUR DAMN ROOM Bugs are leaving the room too because they dont like it here

Great value for the price. Room had 2 separate TVs, a couch that could be folded out to sleep two more, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, a desk around the corner from the beds so someone sleeping early won't be bothered by someone working late, and two separate sinks outside of the bathroom. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Hotel provides complimentary breakfast as well. Great location by the freeway as well as plenty of food options just minutes away.

You can go there for business and/or pleasure. I didn't have a reservation and walked in w/out one. Christopher at the front desk said that they had few rooms available and he can check me in right away. Had to run to the restroom in their lovely lobby very fast before taking care of business. Let's not forget that they welcome you with 2 warm, fresh Chocolate Chip cookies. I had to meet up with a client to discuss her wedding plans so that was the main reason that I was there this past weekend. February 28th, & March 1st. Checked out on the 2nd of March. Walked in to my room on the 7th floor #708 & later was moved to #718. I was planning to give this hotel 4 stars based on what happened in the 1st room, but since everything else went flawlessly from the restaurant, to the pool, jacuzzi, shower, etc... I will give them 5 solid stars for the employees going above & beyond for your comfort. They genuinely cared for your stay and the hospitality was just FANTASTIC in every way, on every level!!! Everybody was very helpful, nice, and caring. Both rooms that I stayed in were SUPER CLEAN, comfortable bed, sheets, towels, were crisp, and clean too. Pillows were also comfortable. Not too soft & not too firm. I had a minor or I should say a big hiccup the 1st room that I had stayed. Around 3:15am I hear this ugly, loud noise/sound coming from the bathroom. I couldn't figure out what the problem was and was keeping me awake. Plumbing problem with the toilet. Called the front desk and Simon who was working the graveyard shift refused to come up to check it out. Instead he sent the security guard by the name of William. That was not William's job. He somehow came to figure out what seemed to be the problem and long story short he helped me move my stuff to the next room down the hall. Both rooms had the following amenities:gym, meeting rooms, pool, with 4 cabanas, small store that had snacks, bottled drinks, cookies and other handy stuff. Restaurant, bar, small fridge, microwave, a safe, big closet with lots of drawers, blow dryer, shower, TV, phone, an iron, etc.. At the time of the checkout, I brought the problem that I had with the toilet and Laura, one of their managers went down on the price which was a very nice gesture coming from her. Also, I used my AAA discount towards my room. AAA always comes very handy! Ate at the restaurant twice during my stay and that's all I can say about this lovely, beautiful, comfortable hotel. Special thanks to Jaydon, the server that I had in the restaurant, gave me an exceptional service! William, the security guard, and the rest of the staff who helped me! Will definitely return next time I need some ME time or if it's work related. There are a lot of nice close by eateries all around. Has a HUGE parking lot, multiple restrooms in the lobby. Very clean, and that's all I can say for now. Thank you all!:-)

She is incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely cares about her guests. Laura is truly a hidden gem, and her service absolutely exceeds a 5-star rating. When you go to a Hampton Inn, you are assured a familiar standard in your experience. This one is…read moreno different compared to others. I've stayed at many Hampton Inns through the years to confidently say that. I'm not from this area but just from driving around it looks like a fine area. Lots of stuff around (restaurants, eateries, fast food, the mall, etc). I guess only con is it looks like there is constant traffic as it seems to be a hub for lots of amenities for the area. With that said the property looks kept up well. The lobby is pleasant and warm. Front desk person at 11PM was still energetic and professional. I didn't check all the amenities as this was a 1 night quick rest stop, but I did see an outdoor pool that closes at 9PM (not sure if heated) and no separate hot tub. The halls to the rooms are bright and dont look eerie at all. The rooms are fairly up to date being very utilitarian and functional. Tiny--by today's standards TV. Conveniently placed outlets with USB ports. There are 2 desks to work on. There are the ever so important microwave and minifridge with coffee maker. Beds and linens were up to par--both being good and comfortable. The HVAC system was adequate with a noticeable hum but no rattles. AC blows nice and cold--period. The bathroom is small, functional, and seems more recently updated than the room itself. Toilet seat is still the cheap low height. Con so far is the following: The bathroom door is a barn door. It serves to close the built in closet when bathroom door is open, and close the bathroom door itself when it use. It has a nice mirror to check yourself out. HOWEVER, there is NO LOCK ON THE BATHROOM BARN DOOR. So when you go to use the bathroom, you slide the barndoor shut but there is nothing preventing shared guests to simply go in there when in use. Bring back the standard door, as in this case function trumps fashion. As with all Hampton Inns--breakfast is included. It's the usual faire and quality if you have been to a Hampton Inn property before. Not much has changed in that for a decade or more. It's doable. Lots of carbs/breads/starches, yogurt, egg, potatoes, coffee, cereal, make your own waffle, etc. Overall another pleasant stay, but not perfect.

Recently stayed during the Easter weekend for spring break for 4 nights. The hotel was super busy…read morebut not too overwhelmingly crowded. Check-in was quick and easy. The room: we booked a classic double queen room for about $200/night. It was a nice clean room but quite basic compared to some of the less expensive hotels we've stayed at (such as the Ayres). Room came equipped with a good size tv, coffee maker, mini fridge, iron+table, hair dryer, water bottles (that cost a ridiculous $6), ice bucket; bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash -- all that were not good for me and my daughter as they all irritated our skins/scalps, but they all smelled really nice. Also provided were face soap and a really pleasant hand lotion that reminded me of the Jo Malone ones. Shower pressure was good. The light switches were a bit annoying because why do we need all the extra buttons/options. We just need the lights to turn on while we're doing our business. My negative one star is for the mattresses and pillows. My husband and I tossed and turned all night/every night because we were so uncomfortable. I even considered sleeping on the floor or arm chair next to the bed because anything would have been better than the mattress. The pillows were so flat, it felt like we were sleeping on nothing at all. I even took the pillows off of the bed my kids were sleeping on, stacked 4 pillows and still felt like nothing. I think I mostly was able to fall asleep because I was so exhausted from the days' activities that I just didn't care anymore. Other than that, the room was great, very good sound proofing as we didn't hear any noise at all and our room was near the elevator and ice machine (which were really loud and sounded like it was ready to explode), so we know there was quite the foot traffic passing by (also, we heard dogs barking as we were heading to the elevator but it was very low so that definitely shows how good the sound proofing is!). The housekeepers were sweet and prompt any time we needed something (ie extra towels, cups, etc). They even nicely folded my daughter's little blankie and put her plushies together (my daughter loved walking into the room and seeing them like that). Only thing I need to note in case anyone is looking for it, but there are no microwaves in the rooms. Hotel itself was really nice. Plenty of waiting areas and dining options available. We didn't try any of the restaurants but did hang out at the bar a few times. Drinks were chef's kiss, all made to perfection. The bartenders checked each time to make sure they were to our satisfactions (we had a lot to drink during our times at the bar lol). We also had some bites to go with our drinks and those were also good (definitely recommend the chicken karaage with the cocktails!). We met some fun people, including the bartenders that kept it positive with good energy. The hotel also has a pool, it was smaller than expected but still a good size for the kids. They provided towels and plenty of seating for moms to hangout poolside. The pool was slightly heated but it was kind of spotty in random areas. My daughter said it was mostly cold though. Note: do not try to enter the pool area from the back courtyard as that gate will not open, use the gate on the front side after passing the valet guys. Towels are towards the back gate, near the shower area. Valet: it was $31/day. No self parking. The guys were prompt at getting our car to us even when they were shorthanded. I think there was really only one time where we waited a little longer than 5 minutes but we were not in a rush, so we didn't mind waiting. You can also schedule for them to bring your car up at a certain time so it's there for you when you're ready to go (we had scheduled for them to bring our car up at 6:30am for an early access trip to Universal Studios -- which btw is only 30 minutes away from the hotel-- and our car was out there waiting for us!). We did have a few concerns as my car does have a GPS tracker on it and a few times it did ping that it was not at the address of the hotel, it wasn't too far off or anything but I've never had it log in a wrong address before; the other concerns were that my dash cam was moved and a few times I received notification that my doors were left unlocked (I was able to lock it remotely through my phone). We just kind of summed them up to human error (accidentally pushing the cam, forgetting to lock the doors, and maybe car was parked in a different lot as we were told that sometimes when the lot is full, they will park a little bit further out), our car got back to us, without damage, so no big deal. Overall, it was a great experience staying at Le Meridien and we will make this our go-to hotel every time we are in the area!

I checked in after 10 PM and checked out before 10 AM--I simply needed a place to rest after a seven-hour drive and to shower and prepare for the service. After returning home, I reviewed my charges and noticed an additional $5.00 fee on top of the room rate. When I called the front desk to inquire, I was told the charge was for water in the room. I explained that I did not use the water and that it was still there when I checked out. I also shared that I have a photo, as I make it a habit to record a video of the room upon departure for my records. I was then asked to provide a photo with a clearly visible date and time stamp so it could be forwarded to a manager for review. Given the amount of money I have spent with Hilton, it is disappointing to feel as though my honesty is being questioned over such a minor charge. This is not about the $5.00--it is about the principle. I am being charged for something I did not use. If that level of proof is required from guests, it would only be fair for the hotel to provide similar documentation showing the item was missing upon my departure. That expectation would clearly be unreasonable, which is exactly my point. I was told a manager would contact me directly, but I have not received any follow-up. I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service, accountability, and respect shown in this situation. Amaiya D. and Martin P., I urge you to do better and treat each customer as you would want to be treated.

As shown in the photos, there were a lot of noticeable flaws. The hallways always smelt strongly of soup. Luckily checkout was flexible. Probably will consider not coming back here.

I don't think not having room service unless its a long stay is working. Upon arrival (she dared suggest there was a charge to check in early) ((which also to waive that fee is leaving a reciew upon arrival which is usually a red flag)) our room was dusty and dirty with stuff and hair all over the floor. Never stepped in there barefoot. Bathroom was the cockroach hub until of course, the last two days we started seeing them in kitchen. We luckily already were so grossed out, we kept out food in our car rental. I have never been this upset by a stay before. Please beware of the good reviews, because they are very pushy for you to scan and leave one upon checking in, before you actually have time to see what you're in for.

If you want to tour the hotel, follow Craig Owens of Haunted by History on Instagram (@bizarre_los_angeles) as he gives tours here. I believe he's taking a break currently but if you get a chance, his tours are excellent and very thorough (he has participated in multiple paranormal investigations here, researched the hotel thoroughly for years, and spent several nights in its rooms). A fascinating piece of history (listed on the National Register of Historic Places). The 44-room hotel opened in 1925 (before the creation of Route 66). It was designed by architect Robert Stacy-Judd in the Mayan revival style (but named the Aztec because it was thought this would be more familiar to the public). The hotel was not particularly successful and went through various phases, including rumors of being a speakeasy and a brothel. It was a bit of a notorious spot for a while, with shady characters occupying its rooms. I was told that 11 people have died here which may not be a particularly high number for such an old hotel. Nonetheless, there are claims of hauntings and tales of paranormal activity. Either way, it's a super fascinating and aesthetically marvelous place!
