Leaving the hotel for home in Utah.
Brandon S.

We had such a good stay and experience at SpringHill! We were in town for an eye surgery for our dog and can't say enough how nice the staff was. The gentleman that checked us in was awesome (you know who you are)! Very clean and cozy hotel. For the price, I definitely recommend. It's close to grocery stores and restaurants. If we find ourselves in Pasadena again someday- we will come back! Thank you for such a nice stay.

My review is based on a three week stay during which I changed rooms four times by request, to experience the overall hotel. Management/Employees: The management and employees at Springhill's Suites were all professional, prompt to assist during any inconveniences and by the second week addressed me by my last name anytime we engaged in conversation. Front desk employees were generally polite and patient while engaging me during a transaction or conversation despite obvious superficiality or apprehensions when my engagement delayed their task at hand. The hotel employees a diverse team culturally and ethnically. All of the employees I encountered spoke clear American English, in addition to any other languages spoken. BREAKFAST: The breakfast always included Scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal with various toppings, one or two kinds of fruits, some bagels, cream cheese, jelly, peanut butter, fruit juices and milk. Breakfast Hours: Weekdays 6 AM until 9AM. Weekends 7AM to 10AM. BONUS TIP: Key hot foods ran out by 9:00 AM or earlier during the weekends due to different people running the breakfast area. BONUS TIP: Put Bacon or breakfast meats on your plate as soon as you get to the breakfast area, especially on Saturdays which are the busiest. They run out fast. BONUS TIP: You can get a coffee cup with lid from the water area near the front desk to take milk from the gallon milk container. During the weekends individual containers are not available. Some mornings, there were yogurt and pastries available. Rooms and Views I stayed in four different rooms, all of the beds were comfortable. BONUS TIP: The rooms have a hotel managed Alarm Clock. It will go off at 6AM the first morning, unless you turn it off in advance. This alarm unit has two AC power sockets and two standard USB sockets. (These are the only USB power ports in the room) Each KING suite room has same setup. Rooms near the elevator which is the center of the hotel, have a slightly different layout. Rooms have a mini-kitchen counter with a small sink, microwave, some storage space underneath and a very small mini-refrigerator that has no freeze section. BONUS TIP: The mini-fridges have an auto defrost feature. You may encounter wet food and less cooler internal temperatures. Make sure the mini-fridge door and seal are closing good, leave it closed and it should chill-up again in a few hours. The desk had two built-in AC sockets and a land-line internet network cable socket (No cable provided) No USB ports. A very bright desk lamp perfect for work. In one room the desk AC sockets didn't work, causing me Laptop battery to drain and shutdown while I was working. I recommend testing the sockets in advance. The artwork on the walls are large and pleasant. The lighting in the room was adequate, and the desk light was exceptional for working under. There was a large couch with a pull-out bed. The main bed had a roll out bed also. The couch wasn't the most comfortable to sit on without a pillow to lean against. The TV had limited channels, mainly movie, motel, Pandora, several major news channels, YouTube or Netflix if you have an account. No local TV or News channels. WI-FI Non-Secured Internet was included. The included versions was faster than any other hotel chain I've stayed in. A faster higher bandwidth tier for gaming and intense streaming is available for an additional fee. The restroom sink and counter was separate from the toilet and shower. There was a very small closet. One of the smallest of any hotel I've encountered. The shower was oddly shaped and had a built-in plastic foot stool which felt awkward initially. Water pressure was decent, and hot ware was plentiful. This location has two primary views. A partial view of the San Gabriel Mountains (North side). A City view facing the Metro A-Line Electric Train. (South Side) The windows in the room open three inches on either side, and offer plenty of sound protection when closed, plenty of natural light. The roll down blinds kept the room very dark for late sleeping when required. While this is a "Pet-Friendly" hotel, I didn't see or hear any pets during my three week stay. No fleas or bugs in the rooms of any variety. All of the rooms I stayed in smelled clean, no strong cleaning chemicals within the building which is great for people with allergies and raspatory issues, no strange smells in the rooms. The air conditioner/heaters are controlled via a wall thermostat. In my first room, it was hidden behind the TV. Hotel Amenities: Housekeeping was available every other day. Every day by request, and required every seven days. The hotel has a mini-market closet with Candy, Chips and drinks. A big perk if you are a Silver or Gold Marriot/Bonvoy member is later check out times upon request. I had several visitors, and we were allowed to use the boardroom to play some board games one evening. The pool is decent sized. I stayed here in August a

Not the best check in experience I've had. Only one person working at the front desk. Waited 20 minutes in line when there's only 2 people ahead of me. I was thirsty when I came in to the lobby only to find out their water dispenser "infused with lemon" was empty. When we came to our studio room it was okay. I prepped the sofa bed for my son who's tired from a long trip, then we noticed the stain on the sheet. I checked the king sized bed and OMG i found hair everywhere on the sheet! SMH! We're supposed to stay for 2 nights but there's no water pressure coming out of the shower. We decided to check out in the morning since they can't switch us rooms because they're "sold out". The whole experience was a nightmare. Never coming back to this place again.

I love this hotel. They have free breakfast with your stay it was very good. There is coffee, hot water, along with cold water available down stairs. There are an assortment of tea packet and hot chocolate. The staff is awesome you will always find a friendly smile from the front desk staff you're guaranteed to smile coming and leaving. Upon arrival, the room was extremely clean. The blankets are awesome. We were nice and comfortable in the beds. The cleaning staff the entire staff I should say is awesome and Friendly everybody made us feel welcome. One person that stood out for me was Liliana housekeeping. She was so awesome and accommodating, and made me feel like I had my own housekeeper. Very very friendly. She deserves a five star. I will be coming back because of her.

Stayed at this nice hotel for 2 nights. Along with the king size bed and bathroom, the room also had a small pantry area with a fridge and microwave, a desk area, and a sofa. I love the included free breakfast every morning! The first morning had bacon and eggs, and the second morning had sausage gravy biscuits and eggs. There's also a section with bagels, muffins, toast, oatmeal, and a DIY waffle maker! Very cool. Also, can't forget about the complimentary hot fresh cookies that are available at the front lobby! Every time I pass by and smell the sweet aroma, I just have to grab one. With the really friendly staff, the nice room, the daily breakfast, AND the cookies, I would definitely book here again next time.

Bugs on bed. NOT GOOD TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF BUG THIS IS. Anyway, this place should really reorganize their managers and staff.

I would of given them 0 star but unfortunately not allowed here. Anyway, I am a traveling person and been to major hotels including 4 seasons hotel but this place is far worst them Motel 6! Here are the issues 1. Bad customers service. Call to get the TV working but the guy in the front desk when I call from the room tells me to come down because No one was available to fix it. Wow, really? Read the negative review, there are NO response to people complaining so they can do better but they only respond to few good ones. I guess the manager don't give a shit about it. 2. First, people here are uneducated in sense of utilizing professional services. The females here have somewhat professional look the guy who I think is a manager seems very upset and give people the feeling of uncomfortable look, but how do you represent a hotel which is respected throughout the country and have employees that are untrained and unprofessional. He was wearing sweat pants and sweater on top! REALLY A MANAGER PRESENTING HIMSELF FOR MARRIOTTE HOTEL. if I was corporate manager I would really look I to this place. 3. This place maybe good to compete with Motel.6. There are so many y unprofessional attitude here so I won't go a year further MARRIOTTE SHAME ON YOU AND I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE. IF YOU WANT A GOOD HOTEL, GO TO DOUBLETREE IN MONROVIA CA THEY ARE THE MOST KIND AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. 4. RENEE, TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE Courteous AND HAVE PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE WITH SMILE BECAUSE PEOPLE DESERVE IT WHEN THEY ARE PAYING FOR YOUR DAMN ROOM Bugs are leaving the room too because they dont like it here

When you go to a Hampton Inn, you are assured a familiar standard in your experience. This one is…read moreno different compared to others. I've stayed at many Hampton Inns through the years to confidently say that. I'm not from this area but just from driving around it looks like a fine area. Lots of stuff around (restaurants, eateries, fast food, the mall, etc). I guess only con is it looks like there is constant traffic as it seems to be a hub for lots of amenities for the area. With that said the property looks kept up well. The lobby is pleasant and warm. Front desk person at 11PM was still energetic and professional. I didn't check all the amenities as this was a 1 night quick rest stop, but I did see an outdoor pool that closes at 9PM (not sure if heated) and no separate hot tub. The halls to the rooms are bright and dont look eerie at all. The rooms are fairly up to date being very utilitarian and functional. Tiny--by today's standards TV. Conveniently placed outlets with USB ports. There are 2 desks to work on. There are the ever so important microwave and minifridge with coffee maker. Beds and linens were up to par--both being good and comfortable. The HVAC system was adequate with a noticeable hum but no rattles. AC blows nice and cold--period. The bathroom is small, functional, and seems more recently updated than the room itself. Toilet seat is still the cheap low height. Con so far is the following: The bathroom door is a barn door. It serves to close the built in closet when bathroom door is open, and close the bathroom door itself when it use. It has a nice mirror to check yourself out. HOWEVER, there is NO LOCK ON THE BATHROOM BARN DOOR. So when you go to use the bathroom, you slide the barndoor shut but there is nothing preventing shared guests to simply go in there when in use. Bring back the standard door, as in this case function trumps fashion. As with all Hampton Inns--breakfast is included. It's the usual faire and quality if you have been to a Hampton Inn property before. Not much has changed in that for a decade or more. It's doable. Lots of carbs/breads/starches, yogurt, egg, potatoes, coffee, cereal, make your own waffle, etc. Overall another pleasant stay, but not perfect.

I…read morewanted to preface this that I've stayed at many Townplace Suites/Springhill Suites/Residence Inn's and am used to the extended-stay properties, and I mention that because I don't expect the type of service and amenities as a fancier property. The services at this Residence Inn got the job done. - The units are in outdoor townhouse style units as opposed to in one big building. - The room was clean, nothing broken. I used the stove and kitchen supplies to cook to keep my food costs lower. - I didn't opt in for housekeeping but I could always get supplies (e.g. toilet paper) with a call to the front desk. - I brought my small dogs and they have a grass area dogwalk-type path in the back of the units which was convienient. I like the dog-friendliness of these extended stay hotels. - Their complementary breakfast with some hot items, yogurt, granola, cereal, toast/pastries wasn't out of this world but got the job done. This place is right in the heart of Downtown Arcadia and there are plenty of food and drink options within walking distance (like Lan Noodles). The location in Arcadia is easy to get around in the San Gabriel Valley as wel as access the major freeways. The main thing I wanted to mention is on my stay, we forgot an item in our room, a handheld theragun massage tool. I realized it after we already got back to the Bay Area and called the hotel, the GM Izzy said she's check, and 30 minutes later I got a call back that they found it. Izzy put me in touch with her Assistant Manager Mary Jean and said if we paid for a UPS Shipping Label and sent it to them, they would pack up our item so it could get to us. That kind of customer service is a little bit above and beyond so I appreciate they were so helpful because it's easy for things to get lost or thrown away by accident in a cleanup. I think we'll consider staying there again, it also depends on timing and cost.

The housekeepers are supposed to follow their S.O.P's but it seems like they have just been lacking over the couple of years. When you're finding kegel balls in the closet, screws on the floor stains on the wall, under the microwave completely dirty and whatever the last person who had the room cooked. If have to pull out my disinfecting wipes and wipe down the handles from the dresser drawers, the fridge handles, and the Doorknobs that's when I start getting a little pissed because it used to not ever feel like this the rooms always so clean before now in 2026 it feels like nothing's getting wiped down and I always have to bring disinfectant wipes/spray the wipe should be turning up white and NOT brown all the time. Before November 2025 I would do a basic quick wipe down on all the mostly touched surfaces the wipe was a little bit dirty but not much BUT now in 2026 Jefferson like it right it just always Brown and dirty now it's getting so annoying and frustrating. It's not even worth the money staying in these hotels anymore. The area I feel like it's getting worse with homeless also it's not like the one in Ontario residence inn where it's completely walled off and you don't have to worry about a homeless sliding your glass door open at night. It seems like people come here and check to see if the back doors are locked so just be aware to always lock the glass door before you leave. Also for the maintenance of the rooms it seems like nobody comes in fixes anything one room was missing shelves and it just had patched holes, in it the room that I'm in now has no working desk lamp and it's missing a lamp and it's missing a tissue box holder. TVs are so outdated when you try to log into your apps it gives you a sort of warning it says the device is not compatible with this app so you're not getting the full features because of how old the TV is just trying to make old TVs last, it's really dim there's no settings to try to fix the brightness. This is the second room I stayed in and the under shelf lights don't turn on. There's no water bottle refill station, and no gym either. This is supposed to be your home away from home. ‍ This is for the housekeeper that told me in room 1414 that "It doesn't come off. It's stuck on." This is just watery paper towel imagine what you could do with some soap cleaners and elbow grease. LAZY LAZY LAZY!

The list can go on and on. Checked in with Victor at the front desk and he was somewhat pleasant, I wanted to use my Triple A card and he wouldn't budge at all. I don't know if he is aware of the benefits of Triple A or not, but didn't accept my card. Moving forward with the rest. I was staying here on the 28th of May and checked out on the 31st of May. Needed to get away from my crazy ass neighbors and it was also work related. Victor was helpful in some areas. I told him that I need a room that is quiet, and he suggested 9th floor room #913. Walked into the room and everything was just super comfortable. My window was facing the beautiful mountains. Had way too many restaurants within walking distance. Amenities are: big TV that actually had my name on it, welcoming me into the hotel, mini fridge, I asked for a microwave(upon request), and by the time I came back from dinner, the microwave was already there. King size bed, standard size couch with a small round table and a leg rest. Big closet along with lots of drawers, and iron/ironing board, a laundry facility on the 2nd floor, the Bistro restaurant that kind of had weird hours. I'll get to that in a minute. Had a coffee machine with all the belongings that comes with it, gym(open 24/7),restrooms all around. Inside the lobby, around the pool and jacuzzi area, had a mini market with a lot of late night snacks from Ramen, Chips, Cookies, Frozen Food, Beverages and also a microwave for their guests. It had a Banquet hall and also a couple of meeting rooms. The entire hotel along with the lobbies, were super clean. Had a blow dryer, clean, crisp towels in the bathroom and the cutest shower curtain that I have ever seen inside a hotel's restroom. It looked like a bridal dress from the 50's 60's era. That cute. Presure of the water was not that good. Understandable, they are conserving water. Restaurant was fairly a large size with great people working there with FANTASTIC HOSPITALITY. They also had a small menu to choose from. Had breakfast and dinner.Ate there twice. Great, affordable prices. Also for Starbucks lovers, they have coffee. They don't have room service which was ok with me, you place your order on your app, or on the phone, go downstairs and pick it up. Special thanks to Meg, one of the most cheerful, upbeat, full of love and energy who works in the restaurant. Rosie was nice too. Bed, pillows, sheets were very comfortable.A/C was working perfectly. They also had a desk and a chair. Tried both their unique pools, and the jacuzzi. Both very clean and everything was SUBLIME!!! Free parking, Free Wi-Fi, had extra pillows and blanket inside the closet. Restaurant hours were weekdays 6AM-10AM. Weekends 7AM-11AM. Don't have lunch, only dinner that opens from 5PM-10PM. Full bar & 2 elevators that were working perfectly.. Appreciate all of you. Would like to extend my thanks to Victor, Will, Lily, Meg, Rosie, Evan, and Carl. We luckily already were so grossed out, we kept out food in our car rental. I have never been this upset by a stay before. Please beware of the good reviews, because they are very pushy for you to scan and leave one upon checking in, before you actually have time to see what you're in for.

There was stripper glitter all in the carpet, and our dog found a ball of already-been-chewed-gum under the edge of the couch. Mom woke up with bug bites all over her arm. If you want to tour the hotel, follow Craig Owens of Haunted by History on Instagram (@bizarre_los_angeles) as he gives tours here. I believe he's taking a break currently but if you get a chance, his tours are excellent and very thorough (he has participated in multiple paranormal investigations here, researched the hotel thoroughly for years, and spent several nights in its rooms). A fascinating piece of history (listed on the National Register of Historic Places). The 44-room hotel opened in 1925 (before the creation of Route 66). It was designed by architect Robert Stacy-Judd in the Mayan revival style (but named the Aztec because it was thought this would be more familiar to the public). The hotel was not particularly successful and went through various phases, including rumors of being a speakeasy and a brothel. It was a bit of a notorious spot for a while, with shady characters occupying its rooms. I was told that 11 people have died here which may not be a particularly high number for such an old hotel. Nonetheless, there are claims of hauntings and tales of paranormal activity. Either way, it's a super fascinating and aesthetically marvelous place!
